Most of the good reviews on here are from when they were called LUX TAN!! GLO bought the place and it has gone WAY down hill. I have the monthly unlimited membership for 2 people. I spray tan, and my daughter uses the beds. GLO drastically downgraded the spray tan formula they used to use. I now have to pay an extra $10 on top of my monthly membership every time I come to get sprayed If I want the nicer formula that they used to use, and I can now pay another extra $5 to get a double pass on my legs that you definitely need or your legs don't even look like they have been spray tanned! Plus more charges for the pre spray and post tan sprays that they used to include and they will say you need! They literally upcharge for everything! I started coming to this place when it was LUX for quality and experience, and unfortunately GLO has destroyed both! read more

I recently joined Glo Tanning after being with PBT for many years and was happy with my decision until I was told something was a LAW, when in reality, I was not the one breaking the LAW, Glo Tanning is doing so on a daily basis! Your tech are telling clients eye protection is required and forcing clients to pay $8.00 for goggles. The law state the protection is required and is to be provided at NO CHARGE! It is not a law that they be worn, just that they are provided at no cost with every bed. Update: the owner reached out to let me know they fixed the website. The tan turned out nicely. Amending to 4 stars. It's my birthday this weekend and I wanted to get a spray tan. After a quick google search I stumbled across LUX - it's close to my apartment and has good reviews. I've never done a machine spray before, but because of the LUX "free pass" policy listed on the website, I decided to give it a go. Had it not been for this promotion, I would have likely continued to do research and may not have made it through the door. The entire "sunless" section of the website is posted below, including the free pass button. Once I arrived to the studio (website said you don't need an appointment so I just walked in), the front desk informed me that the free pass was only for the tanning beds & that this misconception happens "a lot". I even showed her the website where it lists free pass, and she had to take me to a different page to see the "fine print". She was very apologetic and kind, and I know it is not her fault. I didn't really have any other options at this point since I waited until right before I need to be tan - I paid the $50 for a machine spray and left. I'm extremely frustrated about this because I feel the website was very misleading, and it absolutely needs to be updated if they are not offering a free spray or bed tan. Simple fix and I don't like that they are being shady to get people through the door (if I had time I would have just left!). This place is a total scam. I was a client of LUX Tan paying $118/month for a full package. They switched to GLO tan on Jan 1 but never notified me that the $118 package price has been reduced to $69 but now half the service I was getting is charged as add-ons. I asked why they continued to charge me $118 and was told I never updated my acct on Jan 1. But of course, today when I first arrived, they also did not tell me to convert my acct to GLO for $50 cheaper. They never mentioned it until I asked why my spray tan was not full service. They informed me the primer was an extra $7, the finish spray was an extra $5, and the double spray on lower torso was $5. So even though they conveniently never told me to change the charge to $69 to allow for add-on, they continued to charge me $118/month (which I'm assuming in the LUX Tan system included the add-ons) Either way, they completely misinformed or conveniently didn't inform so they could continue over charging me and attempted to charge extra for add-ons. Needless to say, I cancelled my acct. I'm sure I will never see any refund but hopefully there's not others like me that are being overcharged by misleading me as a consumer. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau as well. Glo tan charged me again even though I cancelled the first week of April. The "manager" at the counter was not helpful at all. She just pointed to a sign telling me to call guest services. I am now sitting in their lobby with the customer service call on speaker phone. I stayed on hold 40 minutes until a customer service person returned my call. I have been promised a refund. Who knows when. Either way, I will be a thorn in their side until I get my money back. read more

The location used to be Lux Tanning and productsand services were great, now Glo Tanning has bought them out. I use spray tanning. Glo has decided to change the drying passes from 6 to 2. Obviously, you come out very wet. When I asked the manager (and called customer service) I was told it was company policy to get people in and out quicker. There was nothing they could do. So now you have to stand around and air dry or get it all over your clothes. It's sad that a company like Glo puts greed ahead of providing their customers the proper service they paid for. Love this place! I go for sunless Versapro sessions. It's super clean and amazing service from their great staff. Highly recommend for all your tanning needs. I rarely need to wait upon arrival. They always walk you through the process and how to maintain your best look. The Versapro machine always gives me an amazing all natural look and love the moisturizer setting especially that my skin can get dry during colder months. VERY UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. It's hard to believe, but I was charged 4 months in a row for a service they did not even offer. Once I explain what they did, I would be surprised if anyone would disagree with me. It is also worth noting that this is officially my 1st ever yelp review, so I'm not one to go around giving businesses poor reviews for no reason. I only feel compelled to write this very poor review now because I've given GLO multiple chances over the last 6 weeks to make the situation right but the owner simply refuses to do so. As a result, now everyone gets to know. So I signed up when this location used to be called LUX Tan, and I had a recurring monthly tan package with them for unlimited tans at $48.40/month. Once GLO Tanning took over, my credit card continued to get charged by GLO for the $48.40/month, which was perfectly fine to me. Here's where the issue comes in though. The first time I go back in to tan after GLO took over, I was told by the front desk staff that I couldn't tan unless I bought one of their packages. I was confused because I had just seen where GLO had auto-charged my credit card for another month at $48.40. They could even see on my account where GLO auto-charged me but they said that price of $48.40 was only good for tanning when it was LUX tan and if I wanted to continue tanning at this location, I needed to pay more money because their membership was much higher. Again, I was confused because it was GLO not LUX that just auto-charged my card but at the same time GLO is telling me then don't have any service to give at that price range. So, I asked them, why would my card even get charged $48.40 for a service, if you don't have that service to offer. Not really getting any clear answers, I thought maybe the front desk person was just new and confused and I would just come back another day to tan. I went in approx a week later and was told the same thing. So I asked them simply, "Since Glo auto-charged me $48.40 this month, name the service I get with that charge." This person confirmed that GLO didn't have a service they could offer for that charge. So I said okay no problem, the higher cost to tan here is not worth the additional cost to me, so since you don't have a service to offer me for what I was charged then just refund the monthly charge. I was told they couldn't give me a refund because I didn't give them advanced notice of a cancellation because that is their policy; to which I replied that I have never signed anything with GLO tanning. Glo replied that I was correct but the contract I signed with Lux carries over and the cancellation policy still applies. I challenged them by asking if that was true and the contract that I signed with Lux was still valid with them they should also still honor the fact that the contract stated I get unlimited monthly tans for $48.40. It's crazy to me that GLO expected me to have to follow what the contract stated regarding the cancellation policy to avoid charges while at the same time they weren't literally breaking that same contract by not offering me unlimited tans after charging me $48.40. So I then tell them to just cancel my service, and I'll call customer service to get it figured out the refund. Long story short I was still charged 2 more months for a total of 4 months for a service they never had in the first place. Fast forward to over a month later, many phone calls to customer service and multiple refund requests were needed to even get a very very slow response from the owner who apparently is the one who either approves or disapproves a refund. His decision finally came back as NO REFUND. Absolutely crazy to me how GLO could continue to charge me for 4 months in a row for a service they don't even offer, and then when GLO can't offer me a single service still blatantly refuse to return the money they charged me for a service they don't have. Someone might know better than me, but I'm sure there are laws that protect customers from getting charged by a business for a service they don't have to offer you in return and then just refuse to give you back your money. I could be wrong, but it seems like that would be business fraud to me. read more

I've been to the Addison location and had a great experience. This location is closer to my house so I decided to go here despite the reviews on classpass because I needed to get in and didn't have time to drive to Addison (Did not use classpass for this spray tan). One word to describe my experience is AWFUL. I thought maybe the reviews about the staff were possibly during busy times but I definitely understand what the reviews were saying. I've been getting spray tans for years and although I have experience, each tanning place and spray tan machine is different so unfortunately I don't know what each function means and/or what 1,2,3,4 means color wise. Staff was not willing to explain to me what I was choosing and what each level meant (Just looked at me like I'm supposed to know each level/step of this VersaSpa). Make the trip to Addison! To start, I was offered a glass of champagne or Perrier as soon as I walked through the door (champagne of course!) and said I super last minute needed a spray tan. They got me a room immediately and gave me step by step instructions on what color I needed, what to do, everything! Everything is included (including double coat wherever/all over-even a moisturizer coat that makes tan last longer!) best spray I've ever gotten and couldn't recommend enough. The customer service though is what will keep me coming back! Wish I could remember the name of the girl who helped me so she could get credit! If you're a palm beach tan client, switch to here and you won't regret it! I originally came in because it's more convenient and was on the same street as work and not to mention it was cheaper than palm beach, so I was all in to try it and I'm so glad I did! The staff is always wonderful and when I was going there daily they remembered my name and my tanning preferences. What a fun way to tan! I was promptly greeted by Raymond who took me on a full tour and explained all of the features. While I was setting up my account they got pretty busy but both Raymond and Evan remained friendly, polite and efficient. Each customer was offered champagne or sparkling water, which is a nice bonus. They also offer chilled towels with some kind of toner that is very refreshing. The sun angel tanning bed was really cool and definitely the most advanced bed I've ever used. The bed takes a custom reading on each user and adjusts the strength so that you don't burn.
