The best time was had by all! The staff was great, but the attention to detail I haven't seen since nails were put on w forms in the 80s. They did a kids manicure on my daughter and it was not the 10 minute and done. Angela (I'm not sure on her name) was so good w my kiddo telling her each step and engaging w her. I had no idea this place existed, and not only have they been open since January, they also stay open until midnight Monday - Thursday. This is a game changer for those that work late and/or don't want to rush to a nail salon straight from work. Pro tip - make an appointment. This place is on the smaller side. It's about quality not quantity. This place is upstairs in a shopping strip off Fitzhugh and Capital. I never would have guessed a place so nice would be behind this old school building. Another pro tip. Grab some coffee from Tom Tom or lunch at Zaap Kitchen. Make a day of it! There is plenty o' parking. Nim was my nail tech and she crafted a beautiful white glitter look I described to her even better than I had imagined it. Perfect for December holiday vibes. Amina did a professional job with my Classic Manicure and Pedicure looks perfect too. My nails were very thin from acrylic damage however she filed them and treated them with care. Now the pedicure was OK nothing to brag about. Now the 17-year-old girl who they had to do my manicure. I'm pretty sure she doesn't have a license. Because she didn't know anything what she was doing. It was like OK we don't have anybody so we'll just throw her up here. If you zoom in and look at my nails are still dirty. They weren't clean. They weren't clipped right and they weren't shaped right. And I asked is this her first time doing nails and they were like no no no it was absolutely her first time doing nails. And I won't be going back there. I would've rather them told me we can't service you today then to give me a person who doesn't know what the hell they're doing. I highly recommend this salon. This will be my new place. I took my mom for pedicures while she was visiting. Our usual spot is always overcrowded with more people than chairs, and they rush you out. Not here! Bri and Aisha took their time, were so nice, and did an excellent job. The prices are very reasonable and service offerings are great! The space is beautiful and was very well designed and very clean! I have not had a manicure yet, but I will update you when I do. My mom was so pleased, and even said she can't wait to go back. I wanted to love this nail salon, it's so cute and staff is really friendly. Unfortunately, the service itself was pretty poor. The process was extremely slow (almost 1 hour for acrylic removal, and almost 2 hours for a new set) - much slower than I am used to. In addition, the shape of my nails was not at all what i asked, which makes no sense to me because I came in with nails the shape I usually get AND showed a picture. Huge disconnect there. And now, 5 days later, the polish is lifting entirely. Spent almost 3 hours at the salon and left with nails the wrong shape, and now the nail polish didn't even stick. Waste of time and waste of so much money, since I will have to get them redone after 5 days. Will not return. read more

Second time I came on a Saturday morning an hour after open, two people working and I was told no walk ins on Saturdays because it's a "small salon". I wanted to love this place; I really did. But unfortunately, this was the worst manicure I've ever gotten. I have three cuts on my skin from it. The tech was apologetic and took $5 off; however, I'm still in pain days later. The manicure also took over 2 hours even though it wasn't crowded or anything. Also, they charged me for dip removal, even though i was getting a dip manicure. I've only ever been charged that at a salon if I'm not getting another manicure afterward. And to top it off, my nails are already chipped! Even though dip for me has always lasted weeks at a time. Sadly, I won't be back here. read more

Would not even recommend to my worst enemy! I went in for a French Tip for both nails and feet and was charged $40 on top of the pedicure for acrylic toes which didn't even last a WEEK. My acrylic is peeling off my toes on day 7... not only that the nail tech had to keep redoing my nails because she was not doing them right! I came in at 6:34 and left and 9:38 ... extremely slow and over all I paid $177 for French tip acrylic nails and toes ... not worth the money at all save your time. read more

I recently got a full set with Aisha and here's what I loved about Glo and Aisha: 1. Transparency and safety: Before booking, I DMd Glo on Instagram and asked what kind of monomer they use and how they disinfect the e-file and sanding bands. They told me the brand of monomer, that they use new files, and they have a dry heat sterilizer! 2. Aisha was amazing! Aisha showed me all the tools in freshly sealed dry heat sterilizer bags (they were still warm!) and explained each step in the acrylic application process. It's very important to me to have a nail tech that is both an artist and serious about safety and sterilization (I read the Texas cosmo policies and a lot of salons do not follow them). With everything so clean and Aisha explaining what she was doing, I was able to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the salon. It's very clean with good music and fun nail techs.
