I did a walk in service (nail extensions and pedicure) and was greeted right away but the staff. The salon was extremely clean and laid out nicely, with a great selection of gel polishes to choose from. I ended up just sticking with a French design on my fingers and chose a pale pink for my toes. They were very professional and clean, checking in with me during my service to make sure the shaping was to my liking. Id definitely come back if only I lived in the area! read more

I am visiting in town and looking for a last minute nail appointment. The women here are wonderful. They were attentive to my needs spending a very long time ensuring my comfort while working on an ingrown nail (thanks to soccer!). Additionally, when i noted the color I had chosen was a little too see-through they found the same color for me in a more opaque coat fixing my nails. I went to this nail salon every two weeks for 6 years as it was convenient for me. Might I add-- that is about $20,000 worth of business. However, I thankfully switched salons within the past month and learned: 1. KHNS charges WAY too much... never offers a membership or anything either. Look carefully when they charge at the end-- there are things you shouldn't be paying because they go without telling you first. 2. KHNS manager, Chi, is accommodating until the salon got busy. When it did, a returning customer meant nothing to the salon. 3. They are SLOW. Unbelievably slow. I like to be in and out within about an hour to an hour and a half. I could NEVER rely on them for that. There are hundreds of salons around. Pick somewhere else. read more

I requested a manicure and pedicure here. Both were poor, although the pedicure was worse, but in both cases, they did not clear away dead skin, remove calluses, nor give me a generous massage. They also did not give me the $25 discount that they say they give new customers. When I asked for this to be made right and to have a free replacement service, they refused several times. I finally just gave up and said I would write a poor review instead. I see there are other very poor reviews on Google and yelp. That seems like a terrible way to do business. read more

UPDATE: Treasure, the manager, called me and was very understanding and asked me to return so they could fix my nails. I went back this morning. Tracy did my nails and they are the right color and look wonderful. She was very nice and professional. I also spoke to Chi, who I think is the owner based on previous reviews, and she was also nice, understanding, and apologetic. I made the mistake of trying this nail spa instead of my usual place, because it was within walking distance to where I live and the reviews were good. However, the girl at the front desk, Lisa, was extremely rude and dismissive and my technician was sub par. The technician cut my nails so short they were below the tips of my fingers and so short they were painful. When I asked her to put tips on them because she cut them so short she seemed extremely agitated about this. Then I had chosen a color from the dip options and when she started applying it the color looked off but I couldn't tell until the activated liquid was put on. Once we got to this step the color was WAY off but I didn't have time for them to redo them. I showed them the difference between my nails and the color I chose in the book- clearly the jar had been mislabeled- and they just said "Sorry." I had to ask for a discount and was only offered 10% and was not offered to come back later when I had time for them to make it right. I called after I left and asked to speak to the manager. Lisa, at the front desk, said she was busy and asked if I wanted to leave a message. I said I would appreciate a call back and Lisa said "Ok" and then HUNG UP ON ME. I called back and asked if she needed my name and number because she didn't ask for them before she hung up on me and she said "No. I have them." And then hung up on me again. It's not a great feeling to spend $90 on a service and not get what you asked for and to be completely ignored and have the employees be dismissive. Clearly, based on the previous reviews, they are capable of doing a good job and providing good customer service, so maybe this is an employee(s) specific issue. Regardless, I won't be returning. The color I chose for my nails matched my toes. As you can see from the attached picture it is not even close. Hopefully I will be able to update this review and say that the manager returned my call and they corrected the issue, but I don't have high hopes. read more

If I pay $100 plus for a mani /pedi, I do not want to be uncomfortable while I'm adhering to the techs lazy position. My arm was draped in front of me, for half of the experience. It actually kind of hurt. She could have easily gotten up and come to the other side of the chair. . I'll easily pay top $ for excellent service. I'll keep searching for that place here in Dallas. My total was 166., Including tip, For a mani/ pedi, no fancy decor, just a solid coat plus a minimalist massage. Was told it was coconut treatment, but my feet had dry patches when I left. . I chose this business because it was a close walk from the friend's home that I was visiting for the holiday. I was very happy with both my pedicure and manicure. They were not gel formulas, just regular nail polish. I think(?) I also had a callous service with my pedicure. Honestly not very thrilled. I came here looking to find my new spa home and that's not what I found. I have very short nails because I bite them and it's a bad habit. Because of my short nails I get dip with acrylic. I wish I could find a nail salon that doesn't just keep talking about my short nails in any language. My other problem is that I ask for shorter and for some reason she gave me a longer length. Next problem she told me that she couldn't do the color I picked out because it wouldn't show up... then why is it even on the dip palette.?? So last but not least 2 of my nails are not straight. I was on a break from 11-1 today and I got done at 12:45 and had to be back at school so I had no time to get this fixed. I am extremely disappointed and do not think I should've paid $50. read more

My regular nail tech at another salon was out of town. I desperately needed a dip manicure, and have passed by this place may times. I live walking distance, so I decided to stroll over and see if they could get me in last minute. The front receptionists were super sweet, asked what service I needed, and showed me the colors they had. I ended up picking a fun glittery color. I was promptly sat with Julie who greeted me so kindly. She soaked off my old dip, and prepped my nails for the new color. She was fast, gentle and made my nails look perfect. I came here because close to work and I was short on time. I got my normal dip manicure. She had no idea what she was doing, I could've done better. They close at 7 but turned off music at 6:30 making it awkward. My normal place is packed at this time so I should've known better. I paid $65 before tip bc they charge for every little thing, including soaking off previous dip! One week later, all my nails are chipping and I have to go get my nails done tomorrow. The salon itself itself streams totally trendy style shows for your eye candy while focusing on being clean and modern. I am VERY picky about hygiene and won't go to many salons due to concerns about cleanliness. BUT I love how fresh, clean and hygienic Knox Heights is. Parking is always easy because two doors before you hit the nail salon, there is a spacious parking garage that always has some spots open for me to dart into. The location is also nice because it's an easy walk to either La Duni or Ka Thai for a cute girls lunch if you go get your nails done together. read more

Truly the most relaxing pedicure I've ever gotten. I went in on a Thursday around noon and was the only customer in the shop, I paid a decent amount of money but felt it was totally worth it for the quality. My nail tech was thorough with every step but never invasive. The minimalist design and couture fashion show they had on their one tv truly promoted a luxury experience. They told me they couldn't take me for a mani/pedi until 4pm because they had one (1) customer with an appointment coming in at 2pm.
