Staff here is always friendly and willing to answer your questions! I like that I get to do either a red light sauna (pod) or wet sauna (skin wellness) in addition to tanning. They also have a red light stand up (Beauty Angel). I personally like Room 32 for tanning. Not a budget tanning salon like South Beach Tan, but not a bank breaker for all of the services like Palm Beach Tan. Great bang for your buck! read more

Love Glo Tanning! We are new to town and with a vacation around the corner I need a base tan. Glo is very nice inside being clean, modern and updated beds. They also have a parking lot which is a must in St. Petersburg! The beds are all high level and the also offer a red light massage bed and a water massage bed. They also have spray tans booths. I would consider this to be an upscale salon. I never have to wait to get a bed...definitely recommend. read more

I came and got a spray tan and the machine squirted all over me and It looked like i had freckles and the girls thought It would be fine since no one else complained but It was definitely the worst spray tan ive ever had unfortunately. The beds are brand new Ergoline beds that can change their intensities. There is a stand up infrared bed that I used after my session. There are even dry and wet sauna pods! I really like coming to Glo Tanning. They have great options for wet and dry saunas as well as red like therapy. They have two massage chairs. Lots of tanning beds and spray tanning. They also sell tanning lotion there as well. Really happy with the weekday and weekend hours as well. read more

I like the options they have but there cs is horrible, they canceled my membership right after I paid for the month, because they were having issues with the other account holder. Than when I said ok let me just be a member by myself they told me I had to pay a re enrolment fee , even though it was there mistake they canceled my member membership with out telling me??? I arrived at the Glo tan on 4th St Pete at 1010am. Doors are supposed to to be open at 10 and no was was there. I checked the internet and they said they were open today at 10 so I drove in to find there was no one at the location! Very disappointing to make the drive here and to find the doors locked. Front door sign said they are open today from 10 to 6. I don't use my membership that much, but this makes me want to cancel my membership for this lack of customer service and lack of diligence to have someone at the store ready to open it. read more

I want to start by saying I have been coming here almost two years and have always been happy with the service. I went today and it is not uncommon to see new faces behind the counter, but the 2 that were there. This morning around 10:30, we're absolutely no personality at all. Neither one of them have ever seen me. Neither one of them said, good morning, neither one of them asked my name I had to tell them my name all the blonde said to was "what are you doing today?" Never asked me the intensity of the tanning bed. I told her I had to use the restroom. By the time I came out, the time had already started and neither one of them said goodbye to me.Today I feel that the customer service is going downhill. my first visit was excellent, the staff was attentive and explained everything very well. My second visit, not so much, because even though they are supposed to open at 10 nobody is there. I tried to call but it's almost impossible to get to a person on the phone, so I called the mainline and spoke to corporate who had no answers for me. in my frustration i posted a three star review because I felt petty. but corporate called me and confirmed when the store opened, explained there was some sort of staffing emergency, and apologized. and that was really great of them. i did the perfect tan in one day today and i didn't catch the name of the staffer who helped me but she was excellent. the same person helped me the first time. i was apprehensive about the spray but the explained it all thoroughly and made sure i was comfortable. no sales push at all (since i'm already a member it wouldn't cost me anything) which i really appreciated. now i'm GLO-ing and I'm sorry for being so harsh. The customer service there has always been badassery and top notch since day 1. But due to miscommunication that was told to me over phone and the frustration that I was experiencing while there. I would like to tell everyone what a wonderful experience Glo was. I hadn't been tanning in a few years and due to the Red Tide I was very pale . They showed me all the machines and how they work . Was really impressed how nice they where and also how clean the whole place . I purchased some lotions and other things to enhance my tan and skin . Well , I absolutely love them . My skin is so soft not like the old days when it dried you out like a prune ......lol. And the color I got was perfect . Exactly what I had ask for . I would recommend this establishment to anyone wanting a wonderful experience in tanning and other things as weight loss....skin issues.....etc . I have watched the evolution of this particular location from before Glo Tanning purchased the prior business to what it is now. I commend them for the quality of the services they brought and then keeping the equipment upgraded and in top shape. It is so much more than tanning. Not only do they have the best tanning services available, but offer top notch spa services. Though I may tan occasionally to keep a little color, I love the spa services - from the cocoon pod, to the wellness pod to the red light therapy among other options. I finally decided to write a review after the consistent professionalism and quality of the employees that the manager Angela has brought in - not only do they smile and are polite but are knowledgeable and professional (Michelle and Kamy). Kudos to Angela for the training and for all the work she herself does with them and at the business. I use Glo Tanning in St. Petersburg as my sanctuary for that 15 minutes of peace of mind or sometimes spend an hour there! Better yet, I have seen a difference from consistently using the different spa services. This is a must try for anyone! read more
