Tiny shop with a big heart. Family run engine and general car repairs, located down from the Stockton Swap meet on N Wilson. This was one of the few times that I had used Yelp's project feature to find a mechanic. Robles's auto repair was the quickest to reply and also ended up having one of the most competitive prices. Using the project feature of Yelp allowed me to stay in constant communication with Gabriel. I was kept abreast of the repairs on my vehicle and they even stuck around a little after hours to make sure I could get my car after the repairs were done. That Stockton traffic can be a doozy. The issue with my vehicle was a leak in the radiator that Mercedes said would cost $2400 to repair at the dealership, but with Robles's auto repair, I was able to do it for under $800. The parts in general are not what's expensive just my model and Mercedes has a lot of pieces that have to be removed to get access to the radiator. Now my car is running great and I should be good for a long time. I contacted Robles auto shop to get a quote to get a used engine put into my 2007 Acura TL. I got a fast reply and the price was very reasonable compared to the other shops I contacted so I made an appointment and was able to get my car into the shop within a couple of days. While my car was in the shop the owner kept me informed on when he would start working on my car, and also informed me that I need a new motor mount. Also let me know when my car was ready. ROBLES AUTOMOTIVE STOCKTON, CA. I would not use this shop to just save money. You will pay more because you will have to pay someone else to fix their mistakes. They swapped out my motor with a new one. Brought my truck back four times cause of oil pan leaking still not right to this day. My oil pan and timing chain cover leak they are terrible at what they do. None of their technicians are certified on anything. I got my truck back from them one time five of the oil pan bolts where not screwed all the way in. Engine light came on every week they just would reset and say good to go. So, I had to pay someone to fix it $600.00 out of my pocket to fix the problem. When they pulled the motor, they cut some hoses and taped it back together that was the problem with the engine light. My four-wheel drive has stopped working because they cut out all of the vacuum lines that engage it. They are worthless pieces of shit. I would not let this shop change my air filter. When you see their adds for discounted work run the other way. They are worthless and should be shut down. I called the Bureau of automotive repair, and they said they have had many of complaints and asked me why I choose them, I said because they offered a four-year unlimited mileage warranty. RUN THE OTHER WAY WHEN YOU SEE THERE NAME OFFERING DISCOUNTED WORK. Do not trust them!!!!! read more

if there was a NEGATIVE rating this place would get it! Friend of mine took his car for a "Engine Light" last week. First - they had the car for almost 6 hours. Second - they had the car in the air of course and were able to see everything...right? Or you would think a "professional shop" would right?! Well my friend was told to come pick up his car they fixed the "check engine" light. He was charged $360 and was told it was the spark plugs. He drove and the check engine light comes on again! Which was very frustrating cause he just paid almost $400 for some spark plugs!! He checked underneath his car and seen there was a leak..so he took it to an exhaust place and all it needed was just to be re-welded and it only cost him $20! Can you believe that! UPDATE - The squeal I kept hearing has been fixed. They cleaned oil and debris from the pulley and that fixed the noise. NOTE : Although the issue has been fixed they should have really looked into my concern the first time I had asked them to. I live in Santa Cruz county and spoke to Gabriel, to make an arrangents for my grand-daughters car repair. I explained what was needed, and got a fair quote. Our daughter dropped off the car in the next morning when they opened and all went well. The alternator was replaced, they also replaced the battery clamps and fixed two burnt out tail lights that were needed. The car was ready and I went to pay the bill and pick up the car, yes, I went to visit the grand-daughters too, lol. This place is a nightmare had an engine replaced in dec of last year paid over 4K for extended warranty and new everything. Originally got the car back and on my way home it started running funny turned out the battery wasn't the original one that I sent it with no biggie fixed it my self as I got home it started leaking oil after it paid for all new gaskets in less the a week engine blew sent it back for replacement engine and it took them 3 months to fix got it back and the endgame was defective in less a month the engine blew again. My car has been there since oct with no progress and on my 4 the engine replacement. As of now I ve only had my suv for 2 full months in the last year very disappointed now I'm being asked to talk to there warranty department to speed up process literally worse experience ever. Mechanic completely unprofessional, needed a diagnosis as well as a vacuum leak and transmission leak repair on an older car, said they couldn't do the work for reasons of it having a swapped engine and not having pre smog capabilities at their shop, ok, fine, what I'm not ok with was wanting to charge full price for a diagnostics, not only was the mechanic rude, but as I dealt the the person who actually deals with customers, the mechanic continued to butt in the conversation from the back, very immature and unprofessional, we will gladly take our $$ to another shop, the 2 stars are for the employee who did explain to us, he was very professional and explained in detail and didn't charge us full price a diagnostics that didn't happen, he would be great to deal with in another shop, thanks, already got another mechanic, and he's great! read more
