I will say they seemed pretty understaffed, so the wait times were longer than ideal when trying to drop off and catch a flight. Took a while to get the car as well since there was a line of people waiting for their vehicles. I actually messed up with our reservation and booked it for 7:30AM instead of 7:30PM and didn't realize it until we landed in Orlando. I called NextCar as soon as we landed and explained my error. I think I spoke to someone at a customer call center. They were very accommodating and courteous as I explained this was completely my brain fart error. When we arrived at NextCar from the airport shuttle they have, I was able to hurry into line, which was helpful with timing since the process did take a little while. The gentleman who helped me at the counter was also very courteous. I once again explained my booking time error and he was very helpful. We ended up with a compact SUV instead of mid-size, but I was honestly grateful for that since my initial reservation was essentially cancelled due to my error. I ended up adding the $12/day toll pass which was kind of a waste, but we needed to drive to Daytona and I was not familiar with the route/toll situation and wanted to be safe. They do place a $500 hold on your card and I can confirm that did fall off after a couple business days from surrendering the vehicle, as promised. You have the option to purchase their insurance or use your own. Thankfully we have Progressive and I already had that app on my phone. I logged in and the gentleman who helped me navigated to the information they needed. This wasn't an issue for me, but the guy at the window next to me was having issues with that part and seemed frustrated. So make sure you have proof of insurance - I think it was specifically the Declarations page. I def recommend double checking their site to make sure you have what you need prior to your travel. I'd say it would be a 3-star experience, but I added a star because of them being so accommodating with my booking error that I was very transparent about. The rental price was extremely competitive compared to all the rest, so I think it's a "you get what you pay for" type of thing. Overall pretty clunky and not sure if I would use them again because my husband is pretty impatient, but if you don't mind longer wait times for a lower cost, then it fits the bill. The person who brought our car out is the only name I got. His name was Harold and he was extremely courteous. Thanks Harold and thanks to the nice gentleman at the counter!

The reading was off the charts, 120,000 micrograms, meaning I had to have smoked 8 cigs in 4 min. Was charged $450 They claimed that I damaged a tire upon return. Tire had 11 shaved scratches on the sidewall that somehow did not produce a flat, yet NO DAMAGE TO RIM. When I picked up the car I was upgraded to this one, it was 10pm, dark and parked tightly between two other vehicles, I was told to check the car for damage and mark it, I checked for scuffs etc but would not have noticed scraps on black tires in unlite parking lot at night. Was charged additional $250 I called the company to complain and get refunded and they shunned me, refused to respond to my credit card company. Now they respond here pretending to want to help resolve the issue. DO NOT RENT FROM NEXTCAR FRAUDSTERS!!!

I paid a price up front and then was hit was hidden charges at the time of the rental. The security deposit return was a long process to refund my deposit. I would not rent from them again, nor would I recommend renting from them to anyone. Do not expect to be able to talk to a human - every conversation is done virtually or through text messages.

Through the hour and a half long digital agent process they worked to rebook me in their system, requesting me to show them my credit card, in which they took screen shots of as well as all my insurance information. After back and forth with some digital customer service, the agent told me I needed to pay additional $550 to cover things that my full-coverage personal insurance does not cover. This is something I have never heard of or run into at other car rental companies. At that point, the scam was in full effect. I gathered my items and shuttle back to the airport to rent from a reputable company who I could trust. Have it been known we were not the only person in the hour and a half span that left with no car. For your own travel satisfaction, I would NEVER suggest you use this company. I would also recommend anyone who use this company to report them. Something does not feel right with this and I am constantly checking now for credit card fraud. Absolute travel, nightmare, and horrible way to begin a vacation.

When I pulled up, we were greeted with, "You are late and we are charging you a late fee!" It caught me off guard to be greeted in this manner. I explained to the young girl that I picked up the care at 1pm and paid for a full 8 days and that usually means returning the next day by 1pm was still fully paid. I am bringing it back using only 5 hours on the last day. She immediately shot back and said "you stated 6pm on your return time and it is 7:04pm and I am charging you 2 hours late". When I said, "Serious?' She said, "Yeah I am serious, you heard me". I asked for a manager to speak with and she said I could call or go inside. I was on my way to catch a flight and had no time to go to the rental car desk and find a manager. Hopefully, someone sees this and can help with the customer service on the return side of the business. I know some of these young kids are not used to talking to adults, but if you do not know how to speak to customers, do not put these employees in those positions.

    Rented a vehicle to drive my son home from college. I was told that the car was being cleaned and the items must be in lost and found but the lost amd found person had gone home for the evening with the key. I returned the next day and after waiting an hour I was told the lost and found oerson was out sick. She remained out for the next five days and I cycled through various managers who promised to get back to me. On Tuesday (7 days later) I was told no items had been turned in and that they would open a claim and check the cameras and get back to me within 24 hours. No return call, no update. I called today and they made the mistake of picking up the phone. I identified who I was and explained why I was calling amd was met with "Oh I can't really hear you, I'll call you back." Then the lady hung up and didn't answer again. So not only are we going to take things that are left in the vehicle, they are going to be super unprofessional. Think carefully before you spend your money here.
