DO NOT rent CARS with OtoQ 1- It took one hour and twenty minutes for the shuttle to pick me up from the terminal. 2- The original rental was $116.00 per a week. 3- When I got to the rental counter, they tried to charge me $38.00 daily for the unlimited tools pass. 4- They also were pushing me to use their insurance, even though I have full coverage. 5- The total bill became over $800.00 for the rental. WORST RENTAL COMPANY EVER!!! Do not book with this company. We booked a hotel, car, and flight package through Priceline. Our flight landed at 10:30 PM. When we called for the shuttle upon arrival, we were told the last shuttle had already left at 10:30 -- even though the location didn't close until 11. Why confirm a rental for a customer whose flight lands at 10:30 if your shuttle stops running at the same time? This is poor planning from the company and left us stranded at the airport. The next day, when we went to pick up the car, they refused to give it to us, claiming it was "past check-in time" -- even though we had confirmed the night before, after being stranded, that we would still be able to get the car. They went back on their word. The manager was rude, and an employee gave false information to Priceline. Do what's best for you but here's our experience. We called upon arrival to the airport but the number said it was not in service. Got another company to give us a ride only to find the building was locked and lights off, at 9:45am, sign says open at 7am. Called Priceline, they called the vendor who stated it looked open on their cameras but nobody was present. 10 minutes later someone showed up and opened the door. While still on with Priceline, Oto then wanted to charge a $1000 deposit for the car which we declined as this was not disclosed. Priceline was disconnected from Oto but called back and now they cannot get through. Priceline is putting in a cancellation but could take 7-14 business days. Hidden fees are a problem with OTO Car Rental. They have permanent Sunpass transponders in cars. So you have to pay $9-$15/day to avoid getting dinged with a $25/toll charge from them if you accidentally end up on toll road which is common as not all tolls can be paid in cash in Florida. (Other rental companies let you use personal transponders) Additionally, they had a mandatory fee for collision insurance of $8/day even though I had insurance thru State Farm and my credit card company. Basically, they require property damage liability coverage much higher than what anyone reasonably carries, which forces you to purchase their extra insurance which raises the car rental price far higher than market rates. Steer clear if you can. We paid and had booked through priceline. This service doesnt disclose accepted insurance companies until you arrive to pick up your rental. Then they inform you have to buy their insurance to the tune of almost 400 for the week i had already paid for. If that wasnt bad enough they then break the sun pass fees down to you. Another 6-10 dollars per day on top of the near 400 insurance fee(non refundable). Thats also not counting the tolls incured to be charged upon returning the rental. If thats not bad enough they also hold another 300$ as a security deposit refunded after returning of the rental. So almost 800 on a rental that i had booked and paid in full so i had thought. This is the worst car rental experience I've ever had. I have rented a car for travel over 50 times in my life because my wife and I travel a lot. communication was horrible, the shuttle service took over an hour to get my family and me from the airport (which is just a few minutes away) to the car rental location. Once we arrived, about 10 minutes before they closed, an associate named Victor told everyone in the shuttle to go to another car rental location to rent a car. I had already prepaid for the car rental, and now I was not able to get my car. Victor and two other associates wouldn't even attempt to help anyone in the shuttle to get their cars. I had to pay over $300 to rent a car from another location for just 3 days because of OTOq car rental. I then had to arrange another rental car for the rest of my stay in Orlando. I wasted about 4 hours of my vacation arranging this. After my vacation I called the central office to get a refund. I spoke with Catalina and Erika and they were both very unhelpful And even rude on the phone. They refused to help in any way. Cost me an additional 450 to add their insurance. Would not let me change the driver to my brother, who has that insurance because " reservation is in your name" Would not let us cancel and rebook in his name either. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If you don't have your declaration page from your car insurance, and have $300,000 worth if coverage, they insist that you purchase their insurance. This would double my rental cost. Don't fall for the price. OTOQ was, by far, the least professional business I've ever done business with, and this ended up costing me $500, a client relationship, and over two hours of time. I showed up to pick up the car at the specified time and place. They said I needed to wait until 9:30am for the office to open. Then I got a text from the company that said, I kid you not, "There's a red car out front - get in it." And for some insane reason (I was desperate), I did that. This woman drove me to the airport. We waited for 20 minutes. I asked her why, she said she couldn't speak English. Finally we left the airport and she drove me to an obscure building and told me to get out. It was a rental car office, but nowhere did it say "OTOQ." So then I went inside, stood in line for another 20 minutes, and then was told they couldn't help me because they didn't partner with OTOQ. Finally I called OTOQ back, and I was informed via phone they didn't have a car for me. And that was that - I was an hour late to a meeting, $500+ poorer, and in a bind.
