Absolute scammers. Never in my life 20+ years in the industry did I buy premium select wood which is top tier at a premium cost and get this. Photos as proof 90% of the wood pieces were tiny unusable pieces around 1 foot long. This is not a normal length whatsoever. I was scammed. Lower tier wood that isn't select and at a high cost doesn't come at such short lengths being the majority of every box. When I spoke to them about it, they said they can't talk to me about it until I drop it off to them so they can give it to their manufacturer. They refused to pick it up. I had to rent a truck and drop it off to the warehouse and only had two hours from 3:00-5:00pm to drop it off. They didn't refund anything on the boxes opened. They charged me 25% restocking fee. Moreover, they claimed the manufacture said it's normal sizing. I spoke to my installer. He said this is a very cheap lowest quality grade. He has only seen it a couple times in his whole career and it is around $1.50 a square foot for a customer to buy it. It's the scrap wood that's left over. They sold it to me for $7.50 I have never dealt with such played in scammers in my life. I knew something was wrong because when I went to pay them, they gave me a different company name not Global Flooring. They come off as very polite and courteous, but be careful. Let's just put it this way, I literally told my parents to put their cash away and walk out of the store. After they left, I gave the two sales reps a piece of my mind via text and we got into a texting altercation where names such as "pathetic", "paranoid", "loser" and "pig" along with a number of other insults were thrown my way. One rep even falsely accused me of "stealing" their insurance. They never issued us insurance as the paperwork was NEVER EVEN SIGNED so we never even officially hired them. Guys if you're looking for kitchen cabinets look no further than global flooring. I recently made my fabuwood modern farmhouse kitchen come true and Jonathan NG made it possible and affordable. He's very attentive, responds to inquiries right away and will go aboVe and beyond to make sure your vision comes to life. My kitchen is small with a weird layout so he went out of his way and worked from home to get all the cabinets to fit with full amenities, lazy Susan, garbage cabinet, spice cabinet etc. I thought I would have to make compromises but thanks to him I didn't. I recently renovated my mother's apartment in Flushing. Considering Global flooring (纵横地板）has pretty good reviews, I purchased all construction material from them including hardwood flooring, tiles for the bathroom floor and wall, shower doors and other materials. Jenny (金小姐）was very nice when we made the purchase which is thousands of dollars. After I paid my money, her attitude changed dramatically. Be aware of following things if you consider use this company: 1. Any extra wood flooring cannot be returned. (ok, I accepted that) 2. Extra tiles can be returned with 25% restocking fee, only if it is whole case ( Jenny gave me a hard time to do so. when my mother went to the store for returning tiles, she said there is no cash in the store. she made my elderly mother to come to the store multiple times in the hot summer days to get the money for returned tiles) 3. If you just need 1 or 2 tiles extra, you have to buy a whole case. The store is not willing to offer any help as soon as you paid your money. very disappointed at the service! I recently moved to an apartment in Astoria with my bf and we needed to have the kitchen and bathroom completely gutted and renovated. We went to many tiles stores in flushing and decided to go with global flooring because of Michelle who is so knowledgable about everything they offer and their vast array of selection of tiles, flooring and cabinets. Our renovation took about a month and we ordered all our cabinets, countertop, wall tiles, and floor tiles with Michelle. She was so accommodating and gave us a tremendous discount and even helped rush order the cabinets for us so our renovation wouldn't be delayed! When our bathroom floor tiles were sold out Michelle personally emailed me pictures of alternative tiles that we may like and she knew exactly what we wanted! Michelle sat with us for more than an hour planning how our cabinets should be and giving us different ideas on the computer and it was a very smooth process. Our pictures don't do the actual end product justice but I am extremely satisfied with the service and products we received. Afterwards we had a few tiles left over that we were allowed to bring back to return and get a refund so we didn't have to worry about over-ordering in the beginning. Horrible installation process. No communication and was very patient with them with respect to issues. Even though they made the mistakes, I paid for the extra material for them to fix my cabinets. Sloppy work and they used so much caulking that it's cracked snd they now refuse to fix it. They cut molding and it doesn't look finished. There's exposed wood so it don't take look finished. I was patient because of COVID and they kept saying that they would fix it after Covid but it's been months and now they say that the farmindgale store is closed which it's not. Spent almost 30k and not happy at all. The manager just said, sorry nothing we can do. If you want I can send someone but you now have to pay extra for contractor to fix. read more

My wife and I traveled over from Manhattan to College Point to check out the "renovation street" in Flushing. Went into Global Flooring to get a quote and it was a terrible experience. We spoke to Jay about getting a quote and advice on improving the floor via sanding, being new to renovation in the US. Regardless of what was asked, he just gave his own spiel and talked down to us in a super condescending way. It sounded like he was disinterested in doing the sanding. Yet when we asked him about installing new floors, he responded in a way that presumes that won't be able to afford it. Next, we were told there's a "free" consultation that involves a $200 deposit, non refundable, that can be used as store credit. This was when we decided that to disengage. But when we received a cabinet that had broken peice and other defective items, Anne would not provide an exchange or refund. We also received floor tilings i was very excited for our new kitchen, but it had scratchmarks all over it. Again, she refused to provide refund or exchange. Anne said that she would not provide refund because she does not know if our construction workers damaged the items and because we had the itms for a week. It was a terrible experience dealing with them. I was in a project replacing my floor in my apartment. I went there and talked to a sales person about buying tile floors and floor installment. The sales person used some techniques to tell me that the cost of having them installing is very low and asked me to pay him $200 down payments so they will send a guy to my place to give me full estimations. He promised me that if I ended up not having them to install the floor for me, I can still buy tiles in their shop and the down payment will therefore be reimbursed. It was a shame on me that I took the deal and paid the down payments. They sent a guy over and quoted me twice as much as other contractors quoted. I understand that better price comes with better quality. But twice is too much. So I asked the sales person what is up with the low installment fee he promised. Then I realized that he has a lot of hidden fees and he didn't tell me when he was trying to make the sales. I ended up hiring other guy and bought floor from Global Flooring. The pricing on the floor is very ambiguous. There is a listed price, which is twice as much as the done price we negotiated. Seems like they intentionally bump the listing price and I will be damned if I don't negotiate. It is 21st century and not everyone will negotiate by cutting the listing price to half. I really don't know if I get a bargain or got ripped off when I deal with them. My personal advise to you is: don't go there. If you somehow still do, be very cautious. read more

I got cabinets from Global Flooring a year ago. They are chipping all along the bottom. They are very poorly made and I would not recommend them. When I called to discuss this with Eric he told me he would call me back. He never did. When I called again, he said he mailed me touch up paint. I never received it and it turns out he mailed it to the wrong address. He was extremely rude and hung up on me when I asked him to send it to my proper address. I spent ALOT of money for these cabinets and they should not be chipping from very light wear and tear. I am extremely disappointed and would recommend you do not use this business for your cabinets. read more

This place was such a nightmare. We ordered engineered hardwood floors from here. A sales rep named Wendy helped us decide and then asked us to put down a deposit. She told us the stock is in Canada and it'll 1-2 weeks to deliver. We were on a very tight schedule and would just make it with this time frame. I called her back after 4 days and wanted to find out if we could pick up the floor anytime next week. She sounded confused and her exact words were "Oh, I think it's out of stock, let me call them now". We quickly realized that she had never placed the order for us and only called when I asked about pickup. She then said the floors were out of stock and wanted me to wait another month. I took my deposit back and didn't event want to speak to her. They were very unprofessional to ask us to put a deposit down for something they weren't sure was in stock and for delaying our process even further by not calling the company to check. read more

Global Flooring is also known as United Booming. Global Flooring offers all-in-one (aka One Dragon) service. I would avoid this. Hire your own contractor. Then come here and buy material. Global Flooring's presale is "excellent". They will make many promises. In our situation, we have two coop units in Manhattan that require update. Unfortunately, Global Flooring does not have the required document (EPA certification) so they can't work on the first unit. For the second unit, they agreed to do our kitchen back splash and install a new counter top. What we found out, Global Flooring subcontracted the job out. What was originally scheduled a 2 days job was rushed into a 1 day job. This saves Global Flooring money as they would only need to pay the subcontractors for one day instead of 2. This was a HUGE mistake. We live in a coop apartment so the work schedule allowed is 9:30-4. One the day of the job, the back splash sub-contractors didn't arrive until around 10:15AM. An issue rose right away, Global Flooring gave them the wrong color back splash! There's no way we can accept that color. Global Flooring did resend out the a different back splash with the same color, which didn't arrive until about 12:30pm. So the job finally started around at 12:30pm. Counter top needs to be installed first, which was done by around 1:30pm. So this gave them about 3 hours to install the back splash. Due to such tight work frame, the sub-contractors did a poor job. When we complained to Global Flooring, they didn't want to do anything, eventually they relented. The sub-contractor came back out and fixed the back splash. The sub contractors are actually very nice. They gave us some pointers on painting the apartment which saved us a lot of time. Mistakes on Global Flooring that made me give them 2 star on this job: - if they don't have the back splash we want in stock, they should call us and perhaps work something out. They should not just "assume" we will take one UGLY color back splash. - squeeze what was a 2 day job into 1 day. Glue/cement needs to settle first before applying grout. This make the job look sloppy. I can't even blame the sub-contractors on this. - at first refused to send out the sub-contractor. For anyone considering using Global Flooring: - beware of pre-sale pitch. - take picture of the materials you plan to purchase, put the parts/color number in contract. - Next time I would find my own contractor. Actually, the sub-contractors they use are nice. They probably would do a better job if they weren't rushed. I probably would buy material here, but will definitely not hire them to do the job if they just going to sub-contract it out. read more

this has been a nightmare experience. never mind the typical "oh sure we'll be done in one month" and then one week in after you sign the contract "just kidding it will take two months". I expect that from most contractors. These guys do NOT know what they are doing. all big talk. I've been scraping out grout in my bathroom and re-caulking because they do not know you should not grout corners. it will crack due to the building settling and shifting. i have big seams running up every corner in my bathroom. They also did not measure my vanity sink properly, even AFTER i pointed out that the pipes seem to come out a bit to the right and asked if they are sure the vanity will cover them. Oops, after sawing a hole in the back of my vanity and installing the recessed medicine cabinet, lo and behold the pipes are a good 6 inches off center and are now sticking out of the wall NEXT TO instead of behind my sink. what the hell? they randomly change out tiles that i picked and confirmed without telling me. They threw away my switch plates, then had the gall to call and say "oh wait, you wanted switch plates? im going to have to charge you $200 to put those in. you never specified in your contract that you wanted switch plates." needless to say i gave them an earful and got my damn switch plates for free. Used my japanese kitchen knife to scrape caulk. i found it laying on my counter with chunks of caulk stuck to it. They also installed very old crappy baseboards that have been sitting in inventory for god knows how long and a month or two in, they all started to crack and break away from the wall. They sent someone over to caulk the gaps (arranging this was a nightmare too, as they will say "someone is coming Wednesday", and no one will show up or call. I have to constantly call back and hound them to ask what the hell is going on). they talked me into (and charged an arm and a leg for) re-plastering and evening out my walls, then did a shitty job and blame my splitting baseboards on the crooked walls that they forgot THEY did. when they finally came to change out those baseboards with new ones (also took OVER 2 months with no-shows and over promises and "oh my phone broke" excuses), they got saw dust over EVERYTHING because they did not close the front door when cutting up the boards in the hall. how the hell am i going to get sawdust out of my rug and couch? this isn't even half of it. i am beyond furious. do not deal with these guys. not trustworthy and unprofessional. read more

My wife liked the design very much and the way they present their service with patience and kindness, so we just made the decision to work with them. The result turns out good. The manager, Jack Li, went out of his way patiently helping my elderly mother to select tiles and a countertop to rebuild her kitchen which was damaged by a burst pipe. Installation was fast and very well done. I came here to get a quote on flooring. The salesperson Jay helped me picked out a few laminate flooring and a few hardwood flooring for comparison. He told me Mohawk brand is the top of the line for laminate. Um....okay...fine. When I asked them to come over to take measurements and give me an estimate, he said that will be a non-refundable $200. And if you buy flooring from them, you will get a $200 credit. And they have their own workers which means they have high standard quality control . The owner of UF, Mr. Li was experience ( in the industry for 20 years ), helpful, down to earth and honest. Above all , his crew delivered a fantastic and speedy job remodeling my kitchen and two bathrooms . The rates they gave me were reasonable. The first contractor who failed actually charged the same but got nothing done . I didn't realize how expensive it was to renovate an apartment and how important it was to find the right guys to get the job done .( the longer it dragged in , the more expensive it got ) and I was lucky enough to have found United flooring . We've been planning to redo our apartment for a whole year, but since couldn't find a decent contractor; it's been paused like forever. Till we saw our neighbor did with their place, which is a really fine job, we found Global Flooring. The thing is, we didn't actually pick them at first place since the quote was kinda high, a bit over our budget. We went for a lower price contractor instead of them. The only thing we did with global flooring was purchasing solid wood floors. Which if I thought about now, I would say......not really good choice. Coz the original intention was save free bucks, but this decision are actually caused us a lot trouble. First of all, the quote our first contractor given, it totally means nothing, the whole time, they kept brought up new stuff that we have to have, AS THEY SAY, and not on the contract, which is totally not true. Like, we paid for whole bathroom renovation, labor and material all included, but after they took the toilet down, they came to us, and said they need to charge for new pipe! And about the painting, we asked they to sand and spackle the wall before paint it, they just told us they only going to fix the cracks, and the uneven wall is none of their business! All these shit were really miserable as a nightmare! And it turns out, cost even more! So after that, we went back to Global Flooring. I gotta say, it was beyond our expectation after all those disasters. Though we thought about price, but it was worth it. They were not only doing what on our contract, also fixed the mess that the other contractors have left. They use cement board all around bathtub, and all floors redid waterproof, changed all new pipes in kitchen and bathroom. And most important, they kept their word, did everything they promised. And the job was excellent! Everything is neat and perfect! And after global flooring check the plywood, which already done by the other contractor, they told us it was not installed right, it will lose after few month! And they fixed it for free. The floors were great, and contractors were clearly much more experience and professional than the other ones. The whole time, we didn't even need to worry about clean up after all, everything was done neatly. They were really nice, and even my superintendent said so. The women in the store were very helpful and seemed knowledgeable at first, but they subcontracted the work on our floors to a company called United Booming. This company may be owned by the same people - I'm not sure. We hired them to simply sand, stain and replace baseboard mouldings in our apartment. The sanding left deep scratches across the grain in our parquet floor and deep swirl marks in every room. These apparent flaws were exacerbated by the terrible stain job they did, leaving large pools of stain in various places -including in the middle of floors - and not consistently taking the stain into corners and up to walls. The baseboards were inexpertly joined, and in some cases, not attached to the wall at all - they were merely wedged in place. They were all slopped with uneven white gloss paint that did not match anything, and they had hand and footprints in various places on walls and baseboards. It was a heartbreaking sight to walk in on after paying them half as a deposit up front. Normally I would have fired them on the spot, but I felt I had to get something for the money I had already put in. I had no interest in fighting with them to get that money back. I met the contractor and a woman from the store at the apartment to explain to them what was wrong and demand them to re-sand. The contractor swore that a parquet floor could not be sanded without leaving deep scratches and argued with me on every complaint I had. At least that's what I think he was doing, he was mostly yelling at the shop manager in Chinese, which I do not speak and she was acting as translator. She was mostly very understanding and did end up forcing them to re-sand. That was just the beginning of the troubles. Overall the sanding was much better the second time - though there were still minor problems, and my wife and I spent 2 hours on our knees sanding by hand to remove some scratches - but as soon as they were done, the women from the shop - Hattie in particular - started harassing us to pay much more than we thought was fair. They exaggerated the square footage of the apartment, even after I sent them a scaled CAD drawing that I had made and measured for with extremely accurate square footage indicated. She called my wife several times in the first two days after they finished, yelling at her for not paying, when it had already been explained to her that we would be returning a revised invoice to her. They refused to return our keys to us, and we had to make a special trip back to the store to get our keys. I would stay stear far clear of this company. The prices may seem good at first, but the finished product was far from desirable, and what seemed like helpful customer service at first turned into mean-spirited harassment during an extremely stressful renovation. read more
