I had brought 2 watches (Cartier and Swiss Army) to this place to get the batteries replaced. After bringing it home, both stopped working within a week! I brought it back but the owner waived any responsibility almost right away. Wouldn't even look at the watches and asked me to leave the store after 5 minutes. (Keep in mind, I was very courteous but just didn't want to hear it.) I could understand his position. He only got a few bucks to change the batteries and now he was on the hook for hundreds of dollars. I get it. It stinks. At the same time, due to his actions, a complete innocent party (me) is out hundreds of dollars. It stinks but you need to pay for your own mistake instead of pinning it on someone else. You guys might be curious about what was the cause. I took the watch to the Cartier store. They found out that a screw was missing and water had gotten into the unit. This was disappointing as this was a gift from my dad so I had to fix it before everything rusted. It cost me several hundred dollars to fix since moisture had gotten in everywhere. I went back and tried to get the repairs reimbursed but as expected, he refused. Insists it wasn't his fault even though I showed him the Cartier receipt that clearly stated the cause of failure. It's pretty obvious he didn't tighten either watch enough. I don't want anyone else to get hurt.

I realized when I left that I didn't have the extra links and returned, he gave them to me upon request, but he should've known to return them in the first place. I realized afterwords that the original 18k clasp wasn't returned, he had kept it! Today, I brought in my sister's chain that broke, he fixed it and the solder was so bad, I asked him to do it again, when he brought it back, the solder was noticeably much thinner than the rest of the links, so thin that I wouldn't wear it like that because you risk losing it all together. He told me there is nothing else he can do and to please leave and not return to his shop again. This business is used to dealing with cheap jewelry and people who don't know any better. They can care less of the finished product or sending a customer home knowing the piece is going to break again. Avoid this business at all cost, and if you must use them take pictures of the jewelry you're leaving for referencing purposes and to ensure you're not forgetting anything. If you read other reviews, you'll get a better sense of this place. Any good reviews are posted by their own staff. Basically predators. Shameful.
