I understand that we are in a electronic era. The communication was a huge factor in giving this business five stars. 99% of a communication with either email or text messaging rarely spoke to someone, was at times unsure whether or not I had insurance. eventually I spoke to someone toward the end and realize that I was approved for insurance. But during most of the communication it was nonverbal. As of this time, I am still waiting to be approved by my mortgage company on the new insurance policy. Not even sure if this is a legit company. Fact: They help me get insurance when I didn't think it would be cheap and possible. He was great, however everything was misleading... I was told things that just didn't happen.. not to mention the policy was way more expensive than he presented it too me and it wasn't u til after signing that this came to light. They stated I owed them more down payment (after paying 300).. I also spoke to my insurance company and they said the down payment wasn't supposed to be that high (250 vs the 300 + 150 that global is asking for) they also stated that my insurance was already lowering even tho Ray stated on the phone he was gonna help lower my rate. Fact: their collections team is dreadful, rude and pushy. I received no notification prior to entering collections or any indication I was still in debt... also they tack on an extra $100+ when they place u into collections. Fact: when this issue was raised and I complained Jason the manager said he would contact me in 72 hours with a solution.. after 72 hours ray called and said he would help my situation but first I had to pay off the collections. How is that helping my situation? My advice? Don't use them unless you're desperate. They're a bad team and a bad business. I'll be looking forward to a new policy and a different agent read more

Wont even bother to give any stars to this company but just for the sake of writing this review giving a single star. The broker charged me 250$ for selling a insurance. Initially they said its for first and last month premium on a monthly car insurance policy. Upon asking to cover the last month payment via the deposit paid they changed the story and said its the brokerage fees we charge you plus 30$ processing fee so in total they charged me 286$ for selling me this insurance. I am new to the country and bought the car and the broker gave me all sorts of stories to make me avoid go shopping online for insurance myself but they said you wont get this package anywhere else yada yada. what is disappointing is that explanation about charges are not transparent plus they dont let you shop elsewhere. Change of stories between periods you call them. Just sharing my story hope people be aware of buying insurance policy's from this company. read more

BEWARE OF BROKER FEE!!!! First and foremost ask about the broker fee. It is not against the law to pay $0.00 on broker fees. You are already paying for the policy once you agree to it, if you are under pressure look at the screen and ask question. Dont believe that they have discounts because they dont!! AAA discount, yea right! but if you want AAA discount go to AAA. Read before you sign any paperwork because they will hide any other fees. Other than that just stay cautious you are dealing with frauds and scammers, and I dont think they all have a broker license dont believe me ask each and one of them for their license number #!!! I found out the hard way when they charged my only prepaid card without permission and yes they will take your card information and save it. I have been a customer for 2 years and recently dealt with a jerk name Sergio Rodriguez,he will act nice and charge you a high broker fee about $500 on top of what really needs to pay for a downpayment. Dont believe me read before you sign the paper work at the end. He sold me insurance name carnegie when I had very cheap insurance before for 2 years. Horrible experience, I have no car since accident and Im still waiting for response from carnegie. I want my money back that you stole Puta!! I got a text from Omar Rojas offering me a deal of $81/month for insurance. I didn't think much of it at the time, but I decided to call him and give him a chance because my old policy was about to renew and they wanted $267 for the first payment, who would want to pay that? So I came in and told Omar all of this, I immediately felt like I was talking to a genuine and real person who just wanted to help me out. He was incredibly friendly and cool and made the whole process really really easy. I couldn't get the $81/month (partly due to my own failure to input proper information that he had available to him) BUT in about an hour, I walked out with a new policy with better coverage for $102/month and I easily saved in total over $200, with a whole lot less stress and hassle. If you got a text or a phone call from someone here and you decided to check yelp before giving them a call back/go in to see someone, I'm telling you, just give em a call and go see someone here(I'd definitely recommend Omar though.) At MOST you'll waste an hour of your time for a pretty good chance of walking out with a cheaper and better policy. At worst, you'll lose some time and gain a better understanding/idea of what prices are available to you for insurance in about the least difficult way possible. read more

This place is a joke. I was quoted $115 a month, paid $115 down $115 for first month then $115 was my next auto payment. After that third payment went through I get a notice that my next payment will be $200 and then $140 after that. Come to find out it's because the mileage I would be driving on my car was never recorded and I needed to fill out a mileage form. I do that and now my next payment is $185 and after that $136.. that is not what I was quoted. Don't you think this is something they should ask before giving a quote!? No, they trick you into signing on with a lower payment and then get you on additional charges later. I get that it's only 21 dollars more but I was trying to save money and could have just stayed with my original insurance for that price and never had to pay an additional down payment. Thanks for screwing me over when I already was down and needed to save money. Ended up costing me more in the long run. read more

Sammy helped me get insurance for my car, at a good price I'll admit, but when I decided I wanted to cancel my policy for a better one he was nowhere to be reached. For 4 days I tried reaching his office with either no answer, or someone telling me he'd be back from lunch every time I called. On the third day of calling, my phone number didn't even get to his voicemail, with his line saying that your extension could not be reached. Funny thing is when I used another phone number, it went straight through to someone "claiming not to be Sammy aguilar" and once again saying he'd be back from lunch in 10 minutes. I told "not Sammy aguilar" to let him know to have him call me back. I waited 40 min, no call. Called him back, guess what, I couldn't reach his voicemail with the new number. A scam artist and unprofessional. Guy will take your money and not talk to you after unless it's about buying a new policy so he can get his outrageous broker fee. Will not be doing business with these people ever again, and if your smart, you shouldn't either. read more

I was in communication with them a week ago. Michael Benaviez rep gave me a quote of $123.40 a month for my two cars. When I gave him the vin number he said it was a different kind of car. Today 5/24 I took my car so he can see what kind of a car I have. He still insisted that the quote is $185.60 for two cars. I talked to supervisor and he also said he cannot do anything about it. I drove 20 miles for nothing. AAA quote was much better than theirs. I could have rated ZERO but that's not an option. Do not go to this place. Look for better options. read more

A member of their team contacted me with a great rate so I schlepped it all the way from Orange County to find out more. Everything was fine with the experience there though things took a strange turn when they began to explain the fees I would have to pay to get out of there for my new policy. I know that insurance companies charge you a down payment to begin your policy but, after speaking to the carrier, I found out that of the amount I was charged that day, only a portion of it went to the down payment. Moreover, I was told that the amount that I paid for would cover the 1st months bill. Yesterday, I was highly displeased to see a bill that isn't for March. I was told that the amount of money that I paid would include their fee and the 1st months bill. So now there is $300+ dollars that I can only assume went straight to the pockets of the people there. My problem is with the lack of transparency and honesty. If they would have told me that the $300 plus dollars that I paid wasn't going to my premium amount or the down payment then I would have declined this coverage. Now, I've got a hassle to deal with to get to the bottom of where my money actually went. More or less, I foresee myself having to cancel this policy and end up being bamboozled by these crooks for $300. Update 2/24/17: Have not received a phone call or an e-mail from any of the people I have attempted to contact. I could tell that this place was shady when I first visited but I wanted to help a small business out who did manage to get me on the hook with the prospect of a nice rate, which started @ $90.00 a month (over the phone), changed to $140 (presumably after they actually looked up my driving history) and then the final bill was $160 a month. Overall, dishonesty and lack of professionalism are par for the course here. The horrible experience I had is in stark contrast to the shining reviews given here, which from the looks of it, are mostly friends & family. For a business that has been in operation and on Yelp for so long and to get so many reviews in such a short amount of time is suspect. One review was even from one of the employees here (not allowed) and the other was from a guy just printing papers (not using services, not allowed). This is evidence of the organization inflating their score and another indication of their unprofessional attitudes. I would be happy to update this once my situation is resolved but I doubt it will happen at this point. Update 6/19/17: Thank you for doing the right thing and refunding the broker fee. Edit Review as of 12/28: After my service with Omar, I followed up to see if we could chat as I had some follow up questions and unfortunately I never heard back from him. I was told that Global Guard could change my payment date after I made this specific request, but I never heard back or received any follow-up. Additionally, I was told that my car insurance would come from Progressive but in actuality it went through Drive Insurance (with the Progressive logo on the ID card). Finally, I paid $400+ upfront and was told the reason for the high amount was due to my new car but in actuality it was because of the $200 broker fee that Omar never mentioned during our conversation. I canceled this insurance coverage today and went through Progressive instead, where I got more and better coverage (including gap coverage because I have a new car) for the same monthly payment I would've made had I stayed with Drive Insurance. I was so caught up in wanting to leave the lot with my new car that I trusted Omar's word and didn't fully read everything before signing. Wishful thinking as I really thought this was great service as noted below, but lesson learned on my end. I would not recommend Global Guard and/or Drive Insurance.
