I suggested replacing some of the panels with the higher power ones to solve the issue, but I guess they want to see more data.

However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.

Design Phase: Ish and his team were incredibly flexible in accommodating my specific preferences for how the panels should be grouped and connected to each Tesla Powerwall 3. We held several conference calls with their technician and architect to review and validate the design, and they were consistently willing to collaborate and adjust based on my input. Installation Experience: The installation itself was much quicker than I expected. The longest part of the process was simply waiting for the Tesla Powerwall 3 units which was a Tesla supply delay, not theirs. Rebate Assistance: They also helped me secure a rebate that I wasn't even aware of, which was a great added bonus. Overall: Ish and his crew went above and beyond. I've done extensive research on how to fully maximize the Tesla Powerwall 3, and through my conversations with them, I was able to clearly confirm their technical expertise and confidence in delivering a high-quality installation. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Disappointing Service and Zero Follow-Through…read more On March 12, 2024, we contacted California Solar Electric (CSE) because our solar system failed. A technician named Roy diagnosed the issue as a failed inverter. We paid $4,730.87 for a replacement, which was installed on April 24. Just two months later, the system failed again. On July 1, CSE said the system had simply been unplugged, a questionable diagnosis since there was no reason for someone to do that and our roof can only be accessed by ladder. The system failed again on November 13. Roy came out on January 24, 2025, got it running again, but didn't explain what he did. When the system failed yet again on February 17, I called CSE and spoke with Chris, the only helpful person at CSE, who said a technician would follow up. Since then, I've called five more times, speaking with either Chris or another tech, Josh. Each time I'm told someone will get back to me. No one ever does. After paying nearly $5,000, I would expect reliable service and timely communication. Instead, I've experienced recurring system failures, and no accountability or follow-through from CSE. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for professional and dependable solar servicing.

A few months ago, we decided to move forward with installing a 13.4 KW solar system. Imperial Solar was fair and transparent during the evaluation, and efficient and detail-oriented throughout the installation. The crew arrived on time and left the area clean. The system was installed professionally and looks excellent. Since our meter change, our bill has decreased by 80%, even during winter. We look forward to seeing our savings in the summer.
