We could've ordered the fridge through Sears Hometown's website, but we figured we go to the store and actually interact with an actual human being. They didn't have the fridge in stock, which we already knew going into the store. The older gentleman who helped us said he would have to call the warehouse and asked if we could come back in a few hours later in the afternoon. We can just order the fridge online, but apparently he couldn't help us complete the sale right then and there. Regardless, we agreed we could come back later in the day. We live in Carpenter so we couldn't just drive home and come back to the store when he called us. So my wife and I stalled for 5 and a half hours in town with our sick toddler and a 3 week old newborn only for them to never even call us back. We went to Lowe's and ordered a fridge and set up free delivery in less than 10 minutes. I will never go back to Sears Hometown since they clearly don't care about actually helping their customers.

After some online research, Appliance Factory looked really promising. We were greeted at the door by a salesperson named Cory, who walked us through the store and gave us the highlights of each dishwasher based on our needs. Unfortunately, the brand of dishwasher we wanted was significantly back-ordered due to nationwide supply chain issues (not Appliance Factory's fault); however, Cory helped us find the next best thing and the decision was super easy. We're really satisfied with our fancy new dishwasher and our dishes are so clean! My only complaint is the communication. The microwave we ordered was on backorder, and I was told it would be about two weeks before it came in. I called recently and was told it wouldn't be in until end of December. The supply chain is out of their control, but I would appreciate updates when my order gets pushed back. Additionally, I was given a delivery date for our dishwasher and was told I would get a call from the delivery person to set up a specific time. No call came, so I stayed home waiting for him to show up whenever (Disclaimer: the delivery service is contracted out and they are not Appliance Factory employees). This is what we were treated with. We contacted Aarons customer service and was told we'd be contacted by Paul, the regional manager to figure this out. We refuse to deal with this man any more. Our problems led us to contacting the regional manager, who gave me his name as the RM that had been fired a month before and did absolutely nothing about the issues we presented to them. To top it all off the couch we purchased had components that didn't work (USB, backing piece of the armrest broke) and we asked for them to be repaired, that was in December, it's now September of the following year and nothing. We are paying out our account tomorrow, and we will not only talk to people about their service and products but pre-warn them about the issues they absolutely WILL encounter. The day I hear they closed their company for good is going to be a good day...I'll sleep much more sound knowing they won't target people and syphon their money at every corner they can.
