I had one of the worst experiences ever in this place with Mr. HOSS HASHEMI (the owner) the guys that work there are nice but the owner was not very friendly nor helpful. I brought my car to get a Brake & Lamp inspection and get my certificate for the DMV registration I also needed the Smog test. The inspection was 43 dlls + 7 dlls for the Certificate. All the lights were working OK but I couldnt get the certificate because the fog lights were not working so I paid extra 35 dlls to buy the socket needed (1) and bulbs (2) & 40 dlls for the installation, so far the total was $125.00 dlls. I also asked them to do the SMOG check, they realized that I needed to install the catalyst, this would cost me 165 dlls + labor 140 = 305 dlls. So now my new total was $430.00 DLLS and they would not charge me the smog check. I left my car on a saturday and went there to pick up my Brake & Light certificate the next tuesday, when I came the guy HOSS HASHEMI told me that they found a problem installing the sockets for the fog lights and that they had to re do some cables and that would increase the labor cost for another 16 dlls, now my new total was $446.00. I paid 80 dlls in that moment in order to get the actual brake & light certificate and be able to go to the DMV to get the temporary operation permit, I couldnt get the SMOG certificate because HOSS HASHEMI told me I needed to drive the car 300 miles before the computer would show something. I did 1 hour of line in the DMV and when It was my turn the lady realized that I had 2 brake certificates instead of 1 for brakes and 1 for lights. I called HOSS HASHEMI and told him, he said it was his mistake and that I needed to go back to get the correct certificate which I did, I told him I lost 1 hour of income because I asked for a permit in my job to do all this, he told me that I OWE him 4 days of GARAGE STORAGE 35 dlss per day !! and asked me when I was going to take my car out of there!!! and I told him that If he would have given me the right certificate I could take car out!! So I went back to the DMV with the right certificates got my temporary permit, went back to take my car out, paid the balance of 366 dlls and went home. On my way back home I realized that my dashboard lights and the back lights were not working !!!!!!!! I couldn't go back right away because it was already closed, I came back the next day and HOSS HASHEMI told me that I did something to the car in my way home !!!!! and that I needed to pay extra money If I wanted him to repair this. 1-Everything was working before taking the car there 2-How could he give me a lamps certificate if the backlights were not working anyways? 3-What about the guarantee? he didnt respect, it was not even 24 hours after I too my car out. I called him back by phone telling him I was going to file a complaint with the bureau of automotive repair and he HANG UP on me. This has been the worst experience ever, I called my bank to try to stop the payment (which is still in process) and I have my complaint in process with the Bureau of Automotive Repair hoping they do something about it. At the end I paid $446.00 dlls to get a light certificate that is not valid because my lights are not working, and to have a catalyst installed without a Smog Certificate. I have been a regular customer for over a year now at Globe Auto. After I moved back to San Diego area from North County I needed to find my regular mechanic for regular car maintenance. On the way to El Cajon Blvd area (where many shops are) I stopped at Globe on University Avenue to ask if they could give me an estimate to fix this annoying whine on my Honda. I have been told before that my power steering is bad and I need a pump. After I started the car Huss told me that, yes it is power steering noise and after looking at the reservoir there were low fluid almost empty. After refilling the system the noise went away. I was happy that it only that simple and I did not need the whole replacement. Huss is very knowledgeable and honest. With this simple and inexpensive repair they earned my trust and business. Needed a replacement clutch, but because my used car from Craigslist had not yet seen a mechanic, he found I needed also new tires, new wheel bearings, and some other work. I decided I'd save that for later, but Because of this he did not charge me tax, saving me a hundred at least and the part he charged me for was much cheaper than when I looked online, he must be connected and got a good deal. Hoss Hashemi of Globe Auto Tech was very rude to me when I came in May 23, 2014 for a Light Inspection Certificate on behalf of my 2002 Saturn. I was recommended by Jesus Perez, Owner, Tech Auto Body & Paint. As directed by Hoss, I waited in the "shed" for about two hours as he said it was too dangerous for me to hang around in the service center area. During that time I watched other male customers come in, have their work done while they hung around in the service center, smoking, talking on their cell phones, talking with Hoss, etc. A couple of times I came back into the service center from the "shed" because I noticed he kept leaving my car unattended while he completed other work for the drive-in customers. Once again, he asked me to leave and go back to the "shed". When I finally did receive my Light Inspection Certificate for $90.00, I started up my 2002 Saturn. I noticed my radio and clock were not working?!? I pointed it out to Hoss. He questioned whether or not they had been working when I came in for the inspection?!? Yes, they were?!? He reluctantly had his assistant take care of the issue with a fuse. It was still daylight when I left Globe Auto Tech. Driving home from work that night, I realized all my Instrument Lights as well as my Gear Shift Lights were out?!? I went back to Globe Auto Tech to confront them about the situation and have it taken care of on May 24, 2014. Hoss and his assistant very reluctantly checked my fuses and again questioned whether or not these lights had been working when I came in for the inspection the day before?!? Yes, they were?!? Hoss refused to do any further work on my 2002 Saturn because "...He was not an electrician!!" and told me to go back to Tech Auto Body & Paint. I left very upset with no solution to my problem.
