A great cappuccino and and a great breakfast to provide energy for a great ski mountain like Big White. Everything was delicious. The potatoes were crispy hot on the outside and so tender on the inside. Sunnyside up eggs were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The vegan sausage was great and the not vegan bacon was good as well. The housemade bread was delicious. If we had time, we would have had dinner there as well, next time, I will come back for sure to this ski resort, which is until now my new favorite one.

Although Big White may be one of my favorite resorts in the WORLD (because it's just amazing), the one thing I can't stand is the lack of restaurants and just food in general. Sure, Biggie is close to Kelowna, but if you're staying up at the resort you don't want to make the hour+ trek back and forth for food. Anyways, I'm glad to report that there is a new-ish option in town that is delicious and reasonably priced! Globe is a great option for families, adults and groups alike! The ambiance is really warm and there are meal choices that will please even the pickiest of eaters. A lot of the foods here I would classify as comfort foods since they are on the greasier, heavier, and carb-ier side of the spectrum. My personal favorite thing from their menu was their pizzas - we had the capicola and it was really delicious and had a lot of meat which was surprising. The potatos bravas is a must try - this is a Spanish tapas dish and it is really delicious (although the calorie count must be off the roof) with sour cream of course. The pasta dishes such as the carbonara are really well executed and everything is very flavorful. The only disappointment of the meal was the braised lamb since I thought it was a bit bland really small portion-wise. Service was attentive and the food was fast. Overall a good dining experience, I'd have to say this is a MUST try if you are staying in the Village or nearby. Also this place would be the ideal location for a datenight or special event since it is fancier than all the bars/pubs surrounding it.

Excellent service. We loved the appetizers (esp eggplant & arancini). Pastas were just fine but not incredible.

I forgot to make my review when I had this place last - and unfortunately it is going away :(…read more I really enjoyed the ambiance of this place. You walk in and it's always bumping and bartender is always making funky and cool drinks and everyone's always having a great time. Lots of conversation between friends or even between strangers at the bar. Service was always great. The best dish is the brussel sprouts - it always has something funky in it - marshmellows or grapes and then cheese. It was so enjoyable and they truly believed in their culinary art. I've always appreciated their evolution of their dishes and it was never boring to come back again and again. I truly hope the owners are able to create another restaurant as creative as this one and make it last. I really truly enjoyed this!

We booked a Happy Hour reservation for the long Sunday Easter long weekend at 4:30pm and we were the first to arrive. As Salt & Brick has an evolving fresh sheet menu, you never know what's on the menu but they usually have a few staples like their Brussel sprouts. As this was my boyfriend's first time here, we ordered the Brussell sprouts with popcorn and the Rigatoni. We were given the regular menu but did inquire about Happy Hour and the Brussel sprouts, pastas, and charcuterie board were on special. Unfortunately, they didn't have any oysters available that day. Small cozy atmosphere with a cute front porch. It's a small bar and kitchen that you can see and wonderful that you see and hear all the food being freshly made to order. Our server was friendly, chatty, and attentive but also gave us our space too. The Brussel sprouts served with cheddar popcorn, grapes, and ripped beer cheese is a bit salty, sweet, and so satisfying! My partner doesn't love Brussel sprouts but really enjoyed this dish. The Rigatoni was a bit rich with a nettle became sauce but served with the earthy lily spears, it was a well rounded dish altogether that we also enjoyed. Cute restaurant on the Downtown main strip that isn't a major chain, which is refreshing. Will continue to visit next time in town and hopefully they will have oysters then!
