I came here for the first time on a Saturday. I had previously called for an appointment for this day but they were completely booked because it was graduation weekend. They offered to call me with any cancellations and of course I said yes. About thirty minutes later they called me with an open spot. The salon upon first entering is a good sized place, with about 12 seats for manicures and six for pedicures. It is very nice inside and well decorated especially compared to other salons in the area. There is a small waiting area at the front where you can also look at color selections. The prices are pretty typical of a nail salon, $35 for dip powder and then tip. My nail tech was a girl named Catherine. She was really nice and a good amount of talkative. I think she did an amazing job on my nails. She took her time, and made sure that i was happy with them each step of the way, the shape is very uniform and the dip itself is very clean. I got the dip powder in the color OPI 56. I have already made my next appointment to come here! read more

Let me just say I have never reviewed a nail salon, but Gloss just blew me away so I knew I had to review! I got there pretty soon after they opened and they were able to squeeze me in for a full set and even had a cancellation so I was able to get a pedicure! Mimi did my nails and oh my goodness she is just so sweet and a pleasure to talk to. She was meticulous but quick and did an amazing job. I've never gotten a nail design because I'm nervous it'll turn out bad she made them absolutely perfect. I was also indecisive on color and showed her pictures of my dress and she helped me pick out the perfect colors. I will absolutely be coming back! I do not recommend using this nail salon especially when you have so many options in the area. I have been to Gloss multiple times over the past year (every 2-3 weeks) and the builders gel manicure is never consistent. The lady I have been going to sent me a text message this morning at 1:34am (very unprofessional) to cancel my appt. Due to a sick child. No problem, I get it but the rude lady named Lina did not do a good job. I went in for builders gel and she tried to dip my nails. I said I'm not sure what that is since I've never had that process done to my nails. She kept saying this is what you asked for. Finally the guy next to her said no she is wanting builders gel. I asked for short nails and after the 3rd time she finally got them short enough. I understand that nail techs have different ways of doing things but with only 1 layer of gel, knowing my nails, they will be chipped in 2 days. Nope already chipped by the time I got home. Yes I'm hard on my nails, that's why I ask for my an additional layer of builders gel but to have that kind of rude experience and then to have already have a nail chipped, I look at that as time and money wasted. With so Many other nail salons in the area that are reasonably priced, there is no need to go to a place where the workers are rude and the manicure is mediocre, at best!! Then to make it even worse... the owner sent me a text message, yes a text message, another sign of being unprofessional, to tell me I was rude to Lina. I immediately called and wanted to talk and make sense of what happened. She sent me to voicemail and then followed up with another text message. If you are an owner of a business, you pick up the phone and hear both sides of the story and make it right before accusing someone of being rude when the owner was not even in the area where I was getting my nails done. Highly disappointed with the interaction with the owner and how she handled the situation as well as being treated like I'm a teenager and contacting me through a text message. read more

My mother and I went here for the first time to celebrate our birthdays. Yes, plural birthdays. I knew this salon geta booked up quick so I wasn't expecting them to have a cancellation to get us both in. But, fate sang for us that day! We both got in for pedicures and for me to have a dip color. The salon is gorgeous and, surprisingly, didnt reek of acetone like most salons. Really really disappointed with the quality of my dip nails. Within two days one nail cracked. I went in and got it fixed, and the next day it cracked again. I am not doing intense physical labor for work. These dip nails are not worth $50, they barely last three days. Three of my nails are now chipped and cracked. Omgness! This place is fantastic. It is VERY CLEAN and everyone is so nice. They do get pretty busy so an appointment is recommended. I was assigned Tom for my nails. He listened to what I wanted and also looked at the pictures I brought. I recently moved from Iowa. I had the same lady do my nails for the last 11 years. It is nerve racking to try to find a new nail person and to explain to them what I want. He was AMAZING . He did my nails exactly like I wanted and asked for. I couldn't belive it. His product looked clean and good quality. His methods and procedure were expected and appreciated. I loved that I could count on him and the place. I felt right at home. Also, my fingers do not hurt. Some nail technicians really are too rough and drill too hard. My fingers look and feel perfect. As I was finishing with Tom I asked Mimi if I could possibly be fit in for an Eyebrow wax (since the last place charged way to much and did a horrible job I still needed one). Mimi said she could fit me in just wait 10 minutes. She did my Eyebrows perfectly I was so happy. She cleaned them right up and I was left with no wax and goo on my face. The prices were great and I left VERY HAPPY . I saw all of the other patrons being treated very well and leaving happy. I definitely recommend this place.
