I am going to start with the good first and foremost. Gloss is a very clean establishment and the nail Tech Tiffany is great at what she does. Now let me explain why I am giving this establishment a one-star and do not plan to return... 1. I booked Tiffany for myself, along with a pedicure for me and my daughter. About halfway through our pedicure I say excuse me but will Tiffany be doing my nails? Reply from staff...wait are you getting your nails done? Not only did I explain what I wanted when I booked my appointment but also checked it off on the page I received when we arrived. So my daughter and I had to wait an extra 45 minutes because they had sat someone else in her (Tiffany's chair). That day she was overbooked and rushed which meant my nails were less than stellar. I excused this. 2. I booked Tiffany again received my confirmation for my appointment and when I arrived they had someone else she was working on. Now any female knows it takes at least an hour to an hour and a half to get your complete manicure (acrylic nails, shape, file, and design). This means my appointment is now pushed by 30 minutes. No problem I'll wait. I was nice enough to excuse this incident as well. 3. Final straw for me on my next appointment I, unfortunately, was running 5 minutes behind did they have her wait for me? Absolutely not. When I arrived the young lady told me that because I was late Tiffany had just started on another customer and I would have to wait an hour. NOT HAPPENING. I tried giving them a chance, but the lack of care for my time or the fact that I am a repeat customer told me all I needed to know or so I thought. They are unprofessional and horrible when it comes to scheduling. There are no apologies given and if they overbook Tiffany she rushes and either I request she does my nails over and spend more time or I am stuck with inadequate nails. Just when I thought they could not be more unprofessional they did some shady sh*t. My sister was upset at their scheduling practices and decided to do a review. Yelp and Google. Now they claim Tiffany feels uncomfortable doing her nails because of the reviews and her not agreeing to remove them. My sister did not bash Tiffany so why would she feel this way? She berated the establishment for their LESS THAN ADEQUATE SCHEDULING AND SHADY DEALINGS. How dare you try to force someone to remove their review if they are unhappy with a portion of your services? That alone says a lot about their character. read more

Absolute best nail spa! Not only is it gorgeous inside, it is incredibly CLEAN! And that is so important to me when getting my nails done. On top of that, the service was amazing. I am giving this place one star because they have more business than employees they don't want to turn down business, so they don't give a good wait time which has you pondering in the bar area waiting. It is so busy they rush from one customer to another and because of that they do a bad job. After giving this place a second chance I returned to be disappointed yet again with their customer service. I understand the shortage of workers and very empathize with that. But I can't give grace after coming back to give them second chance. Their customer service sucks. Coming to a nail salon is suppose to somewhat be a relaxing experience. Both my fiancé set and patiently waited for us to be seen by nail techs. After sitting for 15 minutes (myself) in cold water the tech comes over to start my requested service. I had to inquire if they would be putting in the scent she states later ok, I think to myself that's new. I guess the light bulb comes on and she goes and get it. I had a friend recommend this place and so my Mother-in-law got me a $100 gift card for Christmas. I live in Spring and drove 45 minutes just to get my nails done. The entire experience was underwhelming. I made an appointment a week and a half in advance for a specific nail-tech that I was told through back and forth DMs was the best of the best . When I arrived I was told that she was not working that day and I could come back tomorrow. No I can't come back tomorrow I live in Spring!! I got a text 30 minutes before my Appointment reminding me of my appointment with this specific person, so why when I arrive am I told that she's not working?? Anyway I agreed to let someone else do my nails Fast forward 45 minutes and I'm walking out the door very unhappy but I am too nice to say anything. Not only that but they attempted to tell me that my gift card was only good for $50 when it was a $100 gift card. Pretty bummed that this place wasn't what all that my friends made it out to be. I walked in and it was basically empty, okay no problem, however she told me it would be a 20 minute wait. They had ONE nail tech working on a Saturday right before Mother's Day which for a BRAND new business blew my mind. I took a seat at what is supposed to be the bar and I waited, while I was waiting I observed somethings and this is the reason for my review. I took a look at the drink menu that's sitting at the bar, the owner John was standing behind it fiddling with something, you could clearly see I was interested in ordering a drink, he didn't acknowledge me, didn't say hello, didn't ask if I was interested in getting a drink, nothing. The whole thing was very lack luster, I decided to look them up to see if they really were all that everyone had raved about and not to my surprise their nail tech reviews were terrible. I got out of there as quick as I could, I wasn't about to pay $40 for a mediocre shellac and to be ignored the whole time I was there. Hopefully the overwhelming amount of poor reviews will get the owners attention but somehow I doubt it. EDIT: The response the owner has written is a LIE. There was NOT 15 Nail techs that day, there was 7. Also, if they had so many techs why was I asked to wait 20 minutes?! Secondly, her response is very condescending. My friend And I needed a refresh on our pedi/mani we decided to go in together Bc this is where we normally go. Her teenage daughter also needed to remove her acrylic nails so she met us there also. We walked in with no appointments ( don't even try this location without an appointment ) they rushed us to the back to soak our feet , started on my friends service immediately while I sat there and waited for about 15 mins and someone came to start my pedicure , she rushed through it barely scrubbed my feet , barely filed my toenails and finished in 15 minutes the same time as my friends pedicure was finished ! So disappointed! The manicure was even worse - no clipping my cuticles , she painted them horribly , they already chipped the next day . She got top coat all over my cuticles so that made the polish start lifting there making it chip more . $55 for terrible manicure and pedicure . Terrible explicit music blasting the entire time ! Not relaxing , not enjoyable. My friends daughter never got called to get her nails off- they totally forgot about her , so she went somewhere else. Waste of time and money , I will not go back . Horrible quality went in for a manicure my nails were long and healthy before the manicure started I was asked if I wanted a drink I said yes and then she walked away and never got me the drink then the nail tech sat down and asked if I wanted them cut down to which I replied yes I didn't get asked how short he just cut then he didn't ask what shape I wanted when I said I wanted square he didn't acknowledge what I said then when he was done filling I said three times my thumb wasn't even then he proceeds to file my thumb nail down even more with it, still being at an angle, which made it even more uneven now at this point, I'm on the verge of tears because it took me a very long time to grow my nails out to the length that I had them so I get the attention of another nail tech who proceeds to tell me he doesn't do acrylic so he doesn't really know how to shape then when I get up from his chair, I still have nail polish on my fingers he said I was good to go, which normally means you're good to go I went to open my car door and my nail polish got completely messed up so I decided to try to give them another chance and went back today to have them fix it. All she did was file my nails down even shorter the shape still wasn't great and after 4 1/2 hours my nails are still not dry, not to mention she stopped me understand to let my nails dry today and then walked away and didn't come back for the entirety. I was sitting there for 45 minutes waiting on somebody to tell me I was OK to go or to check my nails and another nail tech had to come up and checked me and I didn't even see the girl who did my nails after she got up from the chair overall this is a horrible experience. Thought I would try out a new place and it completely went sideways the customer service is poor. They sit behind the bar gossiping about people, and if it looks like you don't spend a lot of money they ignore you pretty much. read more

Let me start off my saying that I would hate to give a business such a low rating because I know everyone is trying their best but honestly they left me with no choice. If I could give them less than 1 star then I would. Please please please save your money & do not go to this place. It was my first time going & I would never go back. They started off with the pedicure & the lady barely even massaged & scrubbed. She took the hot stone & just put it on my foot....& pretended to move it around like she was massaging. Complete waste of money. Now I was hoping they would redeem themselves when they did my nails but I was proved wrong. I got a full set acrylic nails with shellac on top. 2 weeks later all the shellac is peeling off my nails. I have 3 nails where the shellac has completely came off. The other nails the shellac is chipped off & starting to peel. Tracey was the one that did my nails & she was so rough. I was bleeding on a couple different nails from her being rough & the next day my fingers were beyond sore. She barely even said anything & I felt like she was just trying to rush me out the door. I would never in a million years go back to this place. Nothing upsets me more than when nails that I paid $60 for don't even last a full 2 weeks. Also I have never in my life have had shellac peel off acrylic nails so that was a first for me. Please save your money & skip out on this place. It really is not worth a single penny. While their Instagram page looks amazing, this salon was not. I called a day ahead to schedule an appointment at 11 am. The receptionist told me she would schedule me at 11:15 to allow the nail technicians time to set up. I show up the day of at 11 and immediately see people walk in and get seated serviced. I waited for my friend since our appointment was at 11:15, once she arrived we walked up to the receptionist at 11:10 to check in, she tells us that unfortunately we would have to wait 15-20 minutes because many of their nail technicians had called in sick... okay, what is the point of setting up an appointment. We finally get seated and my friend gets serviced right away, they tell me to give them a few minutes and they would start my pedicure... 35 minutes go by and finally my nail tech shows up and greets me. Not only was my 65 min pedicure rushed but the "foot massage" I received was horrible. The nail technician had long nails that every time she moved her had it felt like I was getting stabbed and scratched. I was suppose to receive a neck massage as well and I told her no thank you. I had no more time to waste there nor did I want my neck stabbed/scratched. I added one star to my review because they did discount my pedicure by $10 but I am just so upset by the whole experience. My friend had about a 75 min pedicure, while she paid for the express pedicure and I had a 35 min pedicure and terrible experience. At least one of us got to enjoy our visit. I've been here 3 times. The 1st time was fine. I went when the service was 20% off. The young lady at the front was friendly. You are offered a drink after picking out your service. The same friendly young lady was there the 2nd time. This time my pedicure was rushed. I heard some employees talking about 2 black customers not tipping well in Vietnamese. Little do they know, I speak and understand Vietnamese. The 3rd and last time, I brought in my niece. The manager/owner has never been friendly anytime I've been there. She looks like you're bothering her. My niece was asking questions about nail services. She wasn't sure what she had on her nails. She usually goes with her mom. The owner went over pricing, which seemed a little high. She says they're competitive with other salons in the area. She picked up my niece's hand and told her that her nails looked too thick and they have to fix someone else's "leftovers." She said to look on Instagram to see their work. I told her I already showed her. She was finished with her mails before I was finished with my pedicure. She came over by me. The technician told her to sit down. She almost tripped taking a step back down. I could hear the ladies talking in Vietnamese. I also saw them talking about the way my niece tipped too. She came back and the owner told her she can't be by me if she's not getting a service. I said, she was told she could sit there. She asked the tech in Vietnamese and I said I understand what you're saying. I heard what you said earlier, just like I heard your employees talking about customers the last time I was here. She was being confrontational in front of me, my niece, employees and customers. I was so upset that I stopped speaking to her. The owner went to the back and didn't come back to the front. I tipped the tech $10 and left. I called my sister and told her what happened. The owner was confrontational over the phone with my sister. She told her everyone says they can understand different languages from TikTok. My sister said, I can speak to you in Vietnamese. The owner said there's no need and hung up on her. Go look at the other reviews on Yelp and Google. Clearly there's others that think the owner/manager is unprofessional and rude as well. Most of the customers probably have no clue what the other employees or owner is saying. The positive is my pedicure was great and my niece's nails looked beautiful. Very clean place,but the front desk host Savannah is very disrespectful and racist. She needs to go back to training for what her position is,especially when dealing with customers. She had the audacity to get loud with me when I politely asked about me not being serviced at the same time as my friend,that I was seated next to by her. I'm normally not one to leave bad reviews but I'm irritated with the ongoing experience that I had. I went to gloss lounge for a refill on my nails, feet and lash set. Both nails and feet turned out horribly. I actually asked for a specific worker and didn't find out that it wasn't her until after they were midway through my nails. My pedicure polish was so bad that I had to go back and have them fix it just for it to turn out worse than the original polish. Unfortunately I had to travel with a messed up pedi because I was on my way out of town. My lashes actually turned out really good from GiGi but I have to mention that the original appt I booked with them for my lashes I was not placed in the appt book properly so they almost had to cancel. Luckily, they called the other client and had them rescheduled. Fast forward yesterday I go to book a refill for my lashes and they booked my appt for Saturday morning. I then get a call Thursday morning by the receptionist telling me that the lady who took my appt was looking at Friday instead of Saturday so they're completely booked and will have to reschedule me. I said no problem I'll just take Friday then instead. She then says welll since then people have called and now Friday is full as well. I said how is that possible when you just said she was looking at Friday and booked me for Friday by mistake. She says welll she didn't actually book you she just jotted your name down! I told her completely cancel me at this point enough is enough. They're completely unorganized with limited staff. They only have about one good worker which chances are you'll never get her. The ONLY reason I gave one star is because it looks really nice inside and they do have a nice open bar and are generous with the drinks. But it's definitely not worth the service you'll get. Usually people who have nice places like that are just trying to cover up for the poor quality. I will add that someone from this business responds to google reviews and they are incorrect and take no ownership in the issue. The owner has responded to my google review stating that my dates were incorrect and that they are clueless as to what I'm talking about. I've seen other responses similar blaming the customer and not taking ownership. I couldn't respond so decided to leave a review on Yelp as well due to the unprofessionalism and accusations. Took my girlfriend, and sisters who loved the way their pedicures were done wasn't as expensive and the interior design looked nice

This is the absolute worst nail experience I've ever had. I arrived at the shop (5pm) and requested a refill on my hands. I was later asked if I would like a pedicure, and I agreed to add that on. I was told there would be a wait... which wasn't a problem for me. 5 minutes later I was seated and my pedicure began. Once my pedicure finished my tech informed me that I would have to wait a few minutes for my refill service to start. Fine! Once I started my refill my tech informs me that she has to attend to another client because my initial service was a pedi, and they don't have enough people to do manicures at the moment. At this point I was furious. The manager walked over and reiterated the same story to me, and I told her my first service was a manicure to begin with. She asked if I could come back the next day, and I told her I could not, my nail is broken. She later told me that I could wait 40 minutes for a tech to be available. At this point I had enough and requested to be checked out. This shop plays favorites and knows who they would like to attend to and pamper. I will not be back here. When I moved to Katy in 2019, this shop opened shortly after, and was actually upscale. Its fake wanna-be trash now. Customer service isn't their priority, and I'm done with this place. Oh and my pedicure?! Absolute nonsense. It was so rushed, and I've made a total waste of my evening. read more

Came in a few weeks ago, and I love the interior design of the salon! Very classy-looking and they have a variety of drinks to pick from at the bar.
