Sarah, the owner, was particularly exceptional. We were given the best service, the girls all treated with care and kindness and the team was engaging and laughing with the girls. Sarah went above and beyond, she actually went out to get ice cream for the girls while I finished my pedi. She also gave me a gift voucher for my next visit. Turns out, for full price, I got the "trainee" although nobody explained this to me beforehand. Even for a discount, I would have said, NO, THANK YOU. The trainee did not know how to file or cut my toenails, nor was she comfortable cutting my cuticles. A few days later, my feet looked beaten. So much for my rare treat (while I'm unemployed). The owner gave the manicure and that sucked, too. I told him that I did not appreciate being his trainee's "practice customer." No response. Then, he used a very course file on my paper-thin nails, shredding them. Before the polish went on, I gave my credit card and went into the bathroom to RE-FILE my nails. I felt sorry for the trainee and I always wonder how / what the women are paid. Do they keep their tips (doubt it) or does the owner keep them? Are they paid a low, set fee for the day? Hair was not styled well. Had to rewash. I don't treat myself to blow outs and I was really looking forward to this. I picked this place based on offerings they listed and positive reviews. :(
