For my 20th birthday my boyfriend decided to get me a gift card to get a day of pampering. The massage, facial, and lunch was all spectacular, but when I came to the nails and hair I only got my nails painted with nail polish and my hair got a shampoo and style. My boyfriend paid well over $350 to give me a relaxing day and by the end of the appointment I felt like I was being rushed by a he lady that did my hair. I felt unwanted and not respected enough. The overall vibe when you first walk in is amazing, everyone was nice and so energetic. BEWARE OF PURCHASING GIFT CARDS! I was really disappointed with my experience here. I booked a "day of pampering" months in advance and used gift cards toward the balance at the time of booking, and paid the remaining amount by credit card at that time also because my understanding was that the appointment needed to be paid in full in advance. The day before my appointment, I was suddenly told I needed to bring in one of the physical gift cards or I would have to pay the additional balance again. The salon stated they mentioned this over the phone at the time of booking, but I genuinely do not recall being told that. I absolutely would have kept the gift card had I known. More importantly, this requirement was not documented anywhere in writing. It is not in the confirmation email, on the gift card itself, or even in the FAQ of their website for gift cards specifically. I even had a photo of the gift card with the card number, barcode, and the name of the person who purchased it, but they would not accommodate in the slightest or even attempt to scan the barcode from my phone. What bothered me most was the lack of empathy and customer service. Rather than trying to help resolve the situation, I was simply told my options were to either pay or cancel the appointment. The facility itself is feeling outdated. I enjoyed the facial and hair services. The manicure/pedicure were very basic. For the same price, I could have had a more deluxe experience at a regular nail salon. This was supposed to be a very special day for me as a mom of two young kids, celebrating my birthday, and the situation unfortunately put a big damper on the overall experience. I understand businesses have policies, but clearer communication and a more customer-focused approach would have gone a long way. read more

Had a terrible experience where I was unjustly charged for an appointment due to a policy that was not listed anywhere or communicated. I was told there was a grace period which I exceeded and that I would still be charged for being 5 minutes past their 10 min grace period. I asked several times if the spa can work with me on a resolution due to the fact that I was a loyal customer who was typically early. In fact, prior to this incident, the only situations where my appointment started late was due to them being late, not me. I was late ONE time and was treated awfully with the staff telling me to read my contract and "look at what you signed." Turns out, the contract listed nothing about a grace period, neither did their website or text message reminders. Tried to call and get a refund and the owner refused to talk to me. The managers wouldn't provide me with the owner's name, phone number or email. They said that I can file a lawsuit and that it will route to the right person, but that would be the only way to get in contact. The local news did a story on this spa and their practices, and thankfully I got to tell my story. This was my first facial ever and I can't imagine it getting any better than this. So relaxing, I loved every minute of it. I also had my hair cut and styled. I'm so pleased with this facility I will go back even though it is 45 minutes away it is well worth the time . The people and owner here are absolutely horrible and will 100% rob you. I prepaid for a VIP package pre Covid but when Covid hit I was unable to use it for a certain number of months so when things did open up and feel comfortable again I called them and asked can I extend the dates since I didn't use the package for a certain number of months due to Covid. They refused to let me and said there are no exceptions no matter what. So a lot of money lost there. I still had some other credits remaining but they went so far as to say I can't ever have services done there --- so what am I supposed to do with the credit? They refused to refund it back in 2020, so I said I'll try to find someone to sell it to but I can't guarantee it. I have tried over last few years and wasn't able to find anyone. So I called yesterday asking to just book a service to use it and they went off on me saying I'm not allowed to book there and I can't get my money back. So I said I will contact my attorney then. So then they called me today and said they will give me my refund but they can only do so if I gave them all of my credit card information over the phone! That is laughable! I will never give people my personal information like that over the phone, especially not those I no longer trust. Do not trust the people or the owner here! Absolutely ridiculous!! read more

Overall, the customer service at this place is great. The staff is friendly across the board, and this was my first experience actually enjoying facials. I started coming in regularly and was even offered their monthly membership program, which I signed up for. However, the month after joining, the esthetician who performed my facial went over some recommendations for my skin, including how to get rid of ingrowns. Unfortunately, this conversation happened at the front desk in front of other clients, which I felt was a bit inappropriate and uncomfortable. My business should not have been discussed publicly like that. On August 17th, I called to cancel the membership. I was informed that since it was past the 15th of the month, I would still be charged for September but wouldn't be charged for October. Fast forward to October 1st, and I was charged again. When I called to inquire, I was told that I was responsible for paying for the first three months regardless, and only then could I cancel. This was never explained to me during the initial call to cancel, which was very frustrating. While the staff is kind, it's clear they are not fully knowledgeable about the membership policies. If you're going to require clients to commit to three months, that should be communicated clearly upfront. For this reason, I would not recommend signing up for the membership program. read more

As far as the MediQuik services: I was skeptical, thinking they'd just be pill pushers, but I was wrong! Both Ruby & Natalie were knowledgeable, caring & made me feel comfortable. I came in for a full highlight and cut in December and was unhappy with the result. I called about a week later to see if anything could be done and was told by the woman on the phone that the stylist would "be happy to fix it" and that I wouldn't be charged. I scheduled the appointment for the stylist's earliest availability. That appointment was cancelled BY THE SALON for an incoming snow storm. I followed up and rescheduled for the stylist's next availability. When I went in for the appointment, I was charged full price. When I challenged this, I was told there was a 2 week policy when scheduling fixes. I was never told about this policy during my initial call or during any call thereafter. Additionally, I did make my initial return appointment within two weeks, but again, this appointment was cancelled by the salon due to incoming weather. This is an unacceptable way to treat customers. Will not be returning. read more

MAC Day Spa has the absolute worst customer service and are thieves just looking to steal people's money. There was a miscommunication about my appointment time the last two appointments that I had with them for a pedicure with Nyasia. The last time they booked me twice (two days in a row) for a pedicure and then said they would charge me for both appointments because I didn't show up to an appointment that I didn't know I had which was a mistake on their part. After several calls with them, I was able to clear it up and was only charged for one appointment thankfully. Today I had another issue with them and scheduling. I had an appointment at 10:15 AM and showed up at that time and they told me that I no longer could see Nyasia for my pedicure because I was late (which I was not) and I asked if they could still please see me for the appointment since I was already there. Nyasia was also standing there and refused to do the appointment even though she had nothing else to do at the time. Then Yara, the front desk manager, said she would charge me $25 for a no-show for the visit even though I was standing there in front of her. I said how can you charge me $25 for a no-show appointment when I'm standing here right in front of you during the time that I'm supposed to have my appointment. She was extremely rude and not willing to accept their second mistake and charged my credit card $25 without my authorization since they already had the number on file. These people are crooks and do not care about their loyal customers. I had been coming to the spa for many years and I'm being treated horribly. They have no idea how to retain customers and are just trying to make a buck. Beware if you ever decide to make an appointment at this spa, I will not go back ever again. read more

Customer service is terrible! The location is always booked or short-staffed. They advertise monthly specials, but they never have availability for appointments within the same month. I waited 9 months for an appointment only to be refused one of my services because I was about 25 minutes late. I still had over 30 minutes of that service appointment remaining, but I was told I could not use it and would still have to pay for it. I don't pay ANYONE full price to do nothing when they can do at least half the job! read more
