I really wanted to be happy about Glow Medispa. I see lots of people writing glowing reviews of Dr. D, and I liked her too and was impressed by her knowledge. However, I did not feel that the treatment worked for me. I paid $6000 for a Glowlift, which for me is a LOT of money. After almost a year and having received 4 of the 5 treatments, I did not see ANY results, and if anything, I felt my appearance was worse than before. I emailed to explain that I had lost faith in this treatment and wanted to convert what was left on my account to Juvederm instead. I wrote a personal letter explaining my situation. I'm a single mom on less than $25,000 and I'm really depressed about my appearance. They offered me 2 vials of Juvederm (value $1200). What was left of my treatment package was one Infini face and neck (retail value $1900). I asked if we could not make it 3 vials of Juvederm (retail $1800) and I would pay for one more, for a total of 4. The receptionist said they would not do this. Dr. D would not respond to me personally about my concerns regarding the treatment, or my request for flexibility on the package. The receptionist sent me a check for $1325 which is what they consider to be the balance on my account - no further communication. While I appreciate that they did provide a partial cash refund of the unused portion of my balance, I found the response to be pretty impersonal and cold, and was disappointed that I got no direct communication about my lack of satisfaction with the product from the doctor. read more

I love this place. Spent so much money on facial product that never helped. For one year I have been going to Shanti for micro needling and people tell me I look at least 10 years younger. It has tightened my jaw line , firmed up my whole face. Botox in my forehead and no more frown lines. Highly recommended, stop wasting money on creams and serums that do nothing.very nice and knowledgeable staff. read more

I came here because of the great reviews and while my experience was pleasant enough, I think I will continue to search for my ultimate go-to facial spot. The main drawbacks, in my opinion, were: Having to wait outside the building for them to let you in if your appointment is outside of certain hours. I just felt a little strange hovering out on the sidewalk and wasn't sure if anyone was going to come out and get me. I get that the doors are kept locked for security but surely there is some other solution, since this has never been an issue at any other spa I've been to in my life. The person who did my facial was cordial, but she didn't seem super excited to be there and at one point left the room without telling me while I had the cloth over my eyes, so I was talking to no one for a while lol. I also was hoping to get some skin advice while I was there and she didn't really seem very interested in providing me with suggestions, just referred me to the expensive skin care line that is in the lobby. Which seemed like a nice collection of products but I was hoping to maybe have a general conversation about skin care and maybe get some suggestions that don't cost $80. At a later point I decided I wanted to buy one of the products but never made it over there because I wasn't sure if the door would be locked or not. I've come in twice to see the Dr. and each time was a stellar experience. She's very knowledgeable and her method is conservative but effective. I feel very confident in her hands and trust her judgement. She also includes you in the care team which is super important to me. I don't want a doctor doing whatever they want without my consent or opinion on the matter. read more

Glow has been my first medispa experience ever. Going into the consultation, I was feeling self conscious about my skin health and lack of skincare knowledge. My consultation was with Heather. Heather immediately made me feel comfortable, heard, and validated. She asked about my skincare goals and concerns, and went over the options she thought would be most beneficial. After thinking it over for a few weeks, I decided to move forward with 3 Genius RF treatments. Bottom line: it was expensive, but I am writing this 6-months post procedure and am thrilled to say that it was soooo worth it. My treatments were with Shanti and I was a bit nervous going into the first procedure. Shanti was incredibly friendly, warm, engaging, and professional. She explained what to expect beforehand and talked me through the process step-by-step. She answered all my questions and made me feel at-ease. Over time, I started to see really positive changes in my skin. I recently saw a picture of myself from a year ago and was very pleasantly surprised to see the change in my complexion. I've been so impressed that I decided to try one other treatment I had been considering: Botox. Shanti did my Botox and WOW. It was more efficient, effective, and comfortable than I was expecting. Dr. Kate is approachable and warm. She explains things throughly and tries to work within your budget. I recently had a PRP facial (which Dr. Dee markets as a "PRP Facelift,""but I had no fillers and, according to my research, most doctors market the PRP "facelift" as including fillers, while the PRP facial does not). The recovery time was longer than Dr. Dee represented -she indicated 2-3 days, but it's been 5 days and I still have some bruising and flaking skin. She had told me that, with the Infini treatment (which I did not have), one could expect peeling skin. I said I did not want that and went with PRP. Unfortunately, I ended up with peeling, flaking skin - really bad the first 3 days. I also have bruising (under eyes and on the nose), but she had warned me about bruising and it's easily covered by makeup. Dr. Dee wanted me to come in for two more "facials" (she recommends three treatments because of the way skin cells turn over), but I can't afford the downtime as I am in the process of moving out of state over the next two months. That being said, if you go in knowing that you may be out-of-pocket for a week, I would recommend Dr. Dee. read more

Honestly not impressed. I've had lip filler done at the glow medispa in Kirkland and was super happy with my results. I couldn't get an appointment there before a trip so I decided to go to the Seattle location. The injector didn't ask many questions regarding my expectations before starting and the whole process felt rushed. It's been about a month since getting lip filler and I'm really unhappy with my results. My lips have a completely different shape and look unnatural, despite requesting a super natural look and wanting to retain my natural shape. There is an obvious line above my lips where there's filler too. Would not recommend. read more

I recently purchased a package of 3 IPL laser treatments; my aesthetician was Toni. I really like this place. First of all, they are very thorough in letting you know what you can expect from the treatment in terms of pain during, results after, etc. No high-pressure sales tactics here, and you will not feel nickel-and-dimed in the least. Toni was very personable and knowledgeable. I was very pleased with the results - the brown spots on my face and chest have faded substantially. This clinic is a great addition to West Seattle. When I started researching the IPL laser treatment, a friend recommended a clinic in Capital Hill - but they never returned my calls or emails. I am so glad I found this place on Yelp and decided to give them a try. I'll definitely be back! read more
