Go somewhere else. Don't assume that just because it's in a nice part of town that it's a good salon. They have no respect for your time. I had an appointment and waited 30 minutes before I got service. I wanted to get a mani and pedi, but they didn't even offer to start my manicure until I was there for 45 minutes so I had to skip it. They showcase this nice full bar up front yet I wasn't offered as much as a bottle of water- even as I sat and waited. Even during my 30 minute wait, I wasn't even shown a color wheel and had to ask for it. When they did finally start my pedicure, it lasted 30 minutes. The online calendar said 45 minutes, so it's not even like I got an exceptional pedicure. Save your money and go to the target next door and pick up a bottle of polish and a foot mask. You can even get a bottle of bubbly and have a better experience than you will at Glow. read more

This nail spa is very clean and beautiful inside. We are visiting from out of town and I brought my daughter here for her first manicure and pedicure and she had a great experience! So I have been going to this nail salon for a few months now and could not be happier! Megan does an amazing job on my nails. Michelle and Victoria do an awesome job on my eyebrows (not only did they give them a great shape, but they listen when I ask that they not make them too thin as I personally like them to be a little thicker). I am so sad to write this review. I am usually one to throw my full support behind any woman owned local business but this place just misses the mark. The positives: The salon is beautiful. The owner is super friendly. The negatives: My friend and I went in on Mothers Day. The place was basically dead (only 6 people in the large salon) The receptionist is extremely young and inexperienced, which would be fine, but at this price point they are competing with places like the Trellis Day Spa (I booked a $72 pedicure). We were not offered beverages or greeted. We had 1 pm appts and were not seated until 1:35 pm They were over booked and under staffed they continued to take walk ins as they worked on us knowing they were running more than an hour behind at that point. My technician was again extremely young. She didn't speak one word to me during my pedicure. I was disappointed in my service was to include an "extra long leg massage". I asked for a different technician for my manicure and my request was denied. The technician butchered my finger nails. She cut them all off and over cut my cuticles to point of bleeding. Also she filed the tips of my nails so much they have been cracking and breaking since. And on and on. Basically I feel I paid for their high price location and not the high quality service I had hoped for. read more

This place is by far the best nail salon I've been to in Houston. It's design is very high end with VERY reasonable prices. They really take their time and focus on the details. They make you feel welcome and well taken care of. There is construction outside, but plenty of available parking on the first level of the garage next to it. It says 'Residents Only' for the high-rise that it's under, but there's reserved parking for the salon on the first floor. Michelle and Meagan are both absolutely amazing! I came here last year in October and got charged over $120 for this set and design. (Which is way overpriced for a tiny design in my opinion) I had to come back OVER 6 TIMES to get my nails fixed, because they kept breaking. This was very inconvenient, walking around with broken nails until I could make time in my busy schedule to come and get them fixed. I'm not rough with my nails and I don't break them when I get them done anywhere else but here. The last time I came back to get my broken nail fixed, they brought out the manager to fix it. He proceeded to make a comment about how I had been back there multiple times to get my nails fixed, and how I needed to be "more gentle and careful" with my nails-- trying to say it's my fault. But unfortunately for them I understand that the reason nails break and snap in half easily is because of the type of powder a nail salon uses. Bottom line, DON'T spend your money here. There are lots of places in Houston where you can get much more extravagant designs for under $100. Edit: In response to the comment below, they did in fact charge me $120 (that's including tip) and maybe it wasn't a manager, but the employee who fixed them did say this to me. First off, the decor is so stinkin cute! It instantly makes you feel like you're in a luxury salon. I love it! Secondly, I haven't been to a nail salon in years because of my feet. My daughter had bleeding cuticles when she left. The man did her dip and nails and being only 10, she only started not until we got home. I had a regular no frills pedicure which cost $75. What do the frills cost? Gentleman was rude and the blonde also. The ones who actually did the work were very pleasant. Didn't want to take the Yelp coupon of 10% but I insisted and the blonde begrudgingly said ok. Will no return unless we can get the nice girl who knows what she is doing. read more

Just moved to Houston and hadn't found a nail salon yet. I went to get a Brazilian wax and decided to YELP nail salons in the same area because I couldn't hold out any longer and my nails needed to be done. I came across a few but I was not impressed with the pictures (thank you my fellow yelpers). And then I got to Glow. I started looking at the pictures posted by you guys and I was impressed by what I saw. What really got me was the fact that this salon also has a FULL BAR! Score!! Lol. The salon is in a really nice area. There was a big lot across the street in front of the salon and so that is where I parked. All of the street parking was taken. After my service, I did learn that they offer free valet parking as well as a reserved lot in the back of the salon. (This info was on the back of the business card I grabbed from the reception desk). It would have been nice to have been told. I was a walk in client and I was greeted when I walked in. I checked in at the desk and told them the services I would like. I had a seat. My wait was brief. I was taken back to the pedicure area where I was then greeted by another technician who would be doing my pedicure. The first woman was my manicurist. Although I did have a mimosa, I was not offered a beverage. I inquired about the bar when I sat down. I feel this should be offered once a client is seated, whether it's water or champagne. Anywho, I am very pleased with the outcome of both my nails and feet. The color is darker than it showed on the sample nail but still a nice color. I will return to this salon.
