In this review I will give names so you've come to the right comment for the truth. In the photo I was assigned the nail tech named Vee. She rushed through my entire service. Clipping and filling without giving me real acknowledgment. I'm the client who is very particular about my nail shape. Maybe it's the OCD but "I like a square shape and slightly rounded corners." She cut my entire nail down to nub. The guy I normally go to for nails wasn't there. His name is Matt. Honestly he gets it right half the time. He's patient so if my nails are subpar some times, I don't complain. Vee will rush your service and disregard what you ask for. I was accommodated for her messing up my toes but when they are cut too short there's not much recovery.No reservations on Friday's or Saturday's. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I absolutely love going here! Customer Service- I've been going here for a little over a year now and even though I moved about 25 minutes away, I will never go anywhere else to get my nails done. I always request the same person (feel free to ask me who!) because she always does amazing work, she takes her time and she asks how you feel about the look of what you get, during the appointment, so if she needs to make changes, she can before you leave. A majority of the staff know me by name and when I call, they automatically know it's me and I can make my appointment in less than 15 seconds. I've also been able to come early due to my fluctuating work schedule, which was awesome because that really shows customer service, in my opinion. Work/Inside- Besides the customer service, the quality of work is really good. I always get the same thing (shellac- specifically OPI brand) and it always lasts over 3 weeks. I've had it last a full 30 days before and I was really impressed. The inside is always clean, there's nice music and they offer you a bottle of water or glass of wine. It's also really big, so you're not all squished together like in some nail salons. I truly enjoy going to my appointments and I also enjoy the interaction. I've been coming to this location for years. This was my first time coming in for a design. Upon arriving I immediately showed what I was looking for and asked if this could be done and I was sat down. I was impressed that they could. Well as soon as we started with the stars my nail artist was annoyed at even trying to paint them on. Using a sticker to try to stamp it to make it into a stencil, which didn't work. That's where he got annoyed and wouldn't stop saying the whole time stars are difficult to do. AT THAT POINT imagine how I'm feeling excited to being scared that this may have been a waste of time. Then I kept on being nice and saying he's doing alright just try it out and btw I'm an artist myself so I get it but damn. The stars were pretty bad but I needed someone with confidence that wasn't going to give up without trying. It gets to the point of asking me if we could do something else, which I replied "well if in the beginning they would have told me it couldn't be done then I would've done my normal one color set" and he went on to give me attitude over not wanting stickers, had me draw a star to say that he does them the same, that stars are so hard. So then he grabbed his stuff and walked away and a woman came in and finished them off. And I wanted crystals and I guess they just wanted me to leave and added some silver nail polish to mimic crystals ? Lmfaoo Sooooo disappointing. I was about to cry because I was so nice and supportive but I was just treated as an inconvenience and btw the price I had to pay to not get fully what a I wanted. They're cute I guess, well from a far but after this experience I'll never come back. She's probably the worst I have witnessed from man-handling your nails to not listening to poor design. She just sucks. Maybe this place is better, but Dee Dee is the worst. Anna was amazing! As soon as I walked in I was greeted and they helped me out with my color choice. I was brought to the pedicure area and offered wine. They double checked that I knew what service and color I was getting. It was the most relaxing pedicure I've had in a while. And I didn't feel like I had to watch her to make sure I was getting what I wanted. I've been looking for a new nail shop since I've moved and this one is perfect! Update from my last review 03/10/20 I feel like i can't find a decent nail shop in Houston. Pictures below **** I've come here a few times and really enjoyed myself whenever I'm on this side of town. I also like how Amy and Tina are there, they use to work at another nail salon i use to go to so seeing them made me feel comfortable. I gave this review 3 stars because there is some issues i notice once i got in my car. My index finger is crooked Like it's slightly turning left instead of being straight. I try to ignore it but it's so noticeable to me and i can't help but stare at it in disappointment. Overall She did a good job and i will definitely still be going back to Amy, I'll just be sure to pay more attention to how she places the fake nail on. Now my pedicure , unfortunately i got the new girl. I could totally tell, Amy convinces me to get the pearl pedi as well as shellac on my toes. The lady doing my pedicure couldn't speak English that well which is fine, Amy was doing most of the talking and up selling for sure. Lol I didn't get the young lady's name that did my pedi but i definitely recommend additional training. When she was giving me my leg massage she kept gripping her finger nails inside my legs, placed the hot rocks on my legs and they burned the heck out of me I also got some scrapes on my bottom leg near my hwere she was removing the dead skin, that purple object they use after removing your dead skin , I'll post a picture so you can see what I'm talking about. Came here with my friends earlier this week and the atmosphere was great and everyone seemed friendly. I feel like I was willingly robbed of my money! We all decided to get the $40 pedi and I expected better service at that higher price range, but this is what I got. My technician didn't bother asking me any time during the process if I was happy with any of her work and I'm guessing she thought I didn't know much or wasn't paying attention cause I was conversing with my friends, but she "trimmed" my nails (one clip each), never once buffed my nails, and applied my polish with zero care, not once bothering to ask me if I still liked the color on me. The service was honestly below subpar. I have been here before to get my hands done and that was great, but this pedi was the worst I have ever had. Would not recommend. read more

I've been here on several occasions. My last visit is why they get one star. They do good work but charged me $70 on a refill (not including my $10 tip) Matt was my who did this refill and the shape is great. When he went to apply my colors that I chose he told me it wasn't a good brand and recommend I change. I had to go to work and told them I'd be back in the morning. ( he should have told me that as I picked them out).....long story short I have no color on my nails and got a partial refund instead of dealing with them. I will never return. Meggie did my manicure. She wasn't personable in the least bit. She didn't greet me at all. I had to say hello to her after a few minutes. She seemed to know what she was doing but my nail has already chipped, less than 24 hours later. Henry did my pedicure. 3 stars for his positive attitude and genuine demeanor. It was truly a pleasure talking to him. However, he was quite young and seemed to be inexperienced. He was trying, though, and seemed to truly care about the service he was providing. He could've been nervous and/or having trouble pacing himself. My feet didn't soak long enough, he seemed to neglect my heels and backs of my legs in some cases. For instance, I noticed bits of wax stuck to my heels after my service. Overall, I'm disappointed with the service I received for what I paid. I most likely won't return. read more

Last Sunday I visited Granlux with my niece (it was her first time) I was very exited to bring her to my favorite nail salon but the experience I had with Leah was torture. She shaved my hill while removing death skin and also my big toe started bleeding bad. I decided to stay calm and continued with the process just because I noticed my niece was having a good time and didn't want to ruin her moment. Her nail technician was very gentle and sweet. She looked at me and smiled on several occasion. I'm so lucky It was not her having a painful experience. I don't mind the prices but I paid almost $300 for cuts on my feet and toe. Tiffany came highly recommended and she is a truly orders as far as getting what you want done. However the next day the top coat on the dip manicure started coming off and by day 3 two of my nails had chipped. After a week most of my nails were broken and the dip was chipped off. I've been going to CHRISTINE at Grandlux for about a year now (almost a year). She is so sweet, efficient, everything you want your nail tech to be. I look forward to sitting with her, chatting and getting my nails done. The salon is very clean, pretty large and at times very busy.
