This is one of the spas in town that actually feels like a spa. The atmosphere is so peaceful with darkened hallways and beautiful lighting. If you are having multiple services done then they have a room to slip on your robe and lock your items in a locker. I have gotten several massages since COVID started and I will say that this spa takes the highest precautions. I actually was disappointed that the tea wasn't served due to this, but I am sure when the pandemic is over it will be back. The serenity oil blend is fantastic and made by a lovely woman named Stacey. I had a massage and a facial today and enjoyed both very much. There is also a retail store in the lobby that sells many great products like Jurlique, Aveda, etc.

Worst massage I have ever had and only not positive massage review I have written outside of one…read moremassage envy which was charging me membership fees illegally after canceling multiple times and kept doing it despite interventions... you get the point. I think some of this could be related to the particular massage therapist but some not. It is a really beautiful spa the nicest I have been to in Wilmington but it smelled so stale, the beds were moist and did not seem clean and it was COLD and the bed was not heated. Also, it is on you who they hire. My preference is to have a female therapist and to be fair I really should have specified this when making the appointment or even asked but I didn't do that's on me. Admittedly I have had so many massages in my life if I had to guess upwards of 100 in my 30 years of life. Many of the times the nicer spas will ask your preference of a male or female or you make the appointment online. For example another spa in Wilmington I was looking to make an appointment and they asked if it was okay if it was a man and I said I would just rather not. However I have had a few massages my a male therapist and typically it's uncomfortable for me for the first few minutes or so and then it doesn't matter at all because you are relaxed and I'm over it. This was not my experience at all. It was as gen z would say "a vibe". He would NOT stop talking during the massage itself. That is my absolute pet peeve. There are only two maybe three massages I have had where they talk during the massage outside of asking if the pressure is okay in the first few minutes. It should be that you are so relaxed that you can't respond. He asked unnecessary questions like "How long have you been having headaches?" "Are you cold, you seem very cold to the touch and laughs..." while massaging my clavicle like that's not even a question. Asking how it's going every few minutes is just terrible. He also did this neck stretch that to be fair he asked if it was okay but it literally pulled some kind of muscle in my neck on the right side. Massages can cause some pain afterwards but this is different. No business doing a stretch like that forcing your neck forward especially when my only complaint was chronic migraines. Also, he massaged my inner thighs with light pressure. I have only had one other massage in my life that did that but it was by a girl to be fair but it felt more intentional. Also, I had scheduled a deep tissue massage and it 100% was not that. It was a Swedish massage with all those standard techniques. Also, the massage I scheduled was supposed to be lavender. We did aromatherapy at the beginning and end and it was in the oil. I love lavender. I have had all different brands of lavender essential oil and lavender scented all kinds of stuff, this did not smell like lavender at all. I told the lady at the front desk that and she said it was and that's totally fine maybe it was a different type of lavender or some kind of mix. I almost suspect some kind of CBD oil but that's me being overly paranoid at this point just because it smelled a little like that but I did not ask for that and did not want that at all. In conclusion. I really recommend other spas/massage places. I've been to 5 other ones in Wilmington and all were better experiences than this I just went here because I had a gift card. Save your money and go somewhere else.

My mother has a multitude of medical problems, deaf in one ear, cochlear implant in the other ear with dementia. Rusty went the extra mile to make my mother comfortable. He has the patience of a saint. Happens be I had to pick my grandson up from school around the corner and I had told my mother to wait on me. When I got back Rusty was sitting and talking to my mother like a friend. This man is an Angel!!! My mother walked out happy, feeling better than she's felt in a long time and ready to go back! She said her massage made her pain level drop, she was completely comfortable with Rusty (which if you knew my mother that takes a lot) and she was glad I had talked her into trying a massage. Thank You Rusty!!!!

I had a very disappointing experience with 20 Orange Spa regarding their billing and overall…read moreprofessionalism. I was charged a $140 no-show fee after missing an appointment. While I understand that many businesses have cancellation policies, this was never disclosed to me at the time of booking. There was no clear mention--verbally or otherwise--that I would be charged the full cost of the visit if I did not show up. Only after the charge was processed was I informed that this is part of their policy. Transparency is critical in any service-based business, especially when it involves significant fees. Failing to communicate such an important policy upfront is unacceptable and misleading. In addition, the way the situation was handled reflected poorly on the business. The staff came across as inexperienced and lacking professionalism. Instead of addressing the concern in a clear and customer-focused manner, the interaction felt dismissive and unstructured. Overall, this experience left a negative impression. Clear communication, accountability, and professional conduct are essential, and unfortunately, those standards were not met here. Better off looking into other well established spas in the area

My experiences at 20 Orange are on par with spa experiences I have had at high-end spas all over the world. I really like this place and think it is the best spa in town! Location: they are located right in the heart of downtown Wilmington between Front St and the river walk. Their facility is really high-end and if not the nicest Pricing: they add the gratuity into the price of the massage, so you don't have to deal with tipping. Everything is included in the price of the service. Also, they provide tokens for parking,so no worrying about time on a meter! Facial: They do a facial designed for men where you get to choose the treatments you want. It is basically a prix fixe menu that you pick a treatment from 3 separate categories (exfoliant, mask & massage). I added a picture of the facial menu. Hannah did my facial and it was awesome! Sauna & Cold plunge: they have this large private room that you have all to yourself with both an infrared sauna and cold plunge. I loved the transition from the sauna to the plunge. It left me feeling rejuvenated and alleviated chronic pain and soreness from working out. Massage: I did a 90 minute deep tissue massage with JC. What a great massage, Jc knows what she is doing! And is a deep tissue master

I'm not sure the current deal but when I booked it it was "One 60-Minute Therapeutic Massage" for $35 i think, which is, by far, the best rate in town. It can be a hit or miss with deals like these and I've definitely had my bad experiences with cheap massages but not at Far and Away. Candice has a packed schedule; I'm pretty sure I got my massage 2-3 weeks after purchasing/booking. She's located in an adorable little business park off Wrightsville Ave. The maps took me to the building right next door but her instructions helped me find the upstairs suite in building 3807. There's plenty of parking in the lot but i'd still arrive a few minutes before your scheduled time. I never really understood the differences between massage styles. It's kind of like cocktails. There's always the general Manhattans and Dirty Martinis, but every bar does it just a little bit different putting their special twist on things. I'm not sure the real difference between Swedish, therapeutic or deep tissue I think the methodology really depends per massage therapist. Candice did a great job finding the balance between deeply rooted knot kneading and making sure I'm not in pain for weeks after the fact. I would call it half Swedish, half therapeutic, and perfect for what I needed. I had such a great experience and would highly recommend Candice's massages. Her place is beautiful with every detail thought out. The oil she used was high quality and didn't leave a stank or uncomfortable filmy presence. She's sweet, listens to your requests and does well following through. Check out her Groupon for the best rates!
