I decided to make an appointment for IPL, however, I then found out I had an interview 3 days after my appointment so I emailed the place to see what their thoughts were. I got an email stating that it wouldn't be a good idea because my face would be darker before falling off, which I already knew so I agreed as well. I decided to just come for a consultation and a facial. When I got there, Maxine was very confused as to why I was there. I explained it to her, and she said that I could still do IPL. I was nervous. I showed her every single product I was using on my face and all it's ingredients. I told her that I was nervous about IPL because of my interview and she insisted that my face would actually look better rather than worse because she did not feel that I had much hyperpigmentation. She also went ahead and said " I met people like you before" making fun of the fact that I actually do my research and get nervous about procedures on my face. I don't know about you but this is a normal way to react to your own face! My face was burnt-- first degree burn. I sent pictures to Maxine the next day and she said " I didn't anticipate for your face to be sensitive". She then wanted to give me a " calming facial" but told me to come that day. I couldn't come. She was also closed Sunday and Monday I believe because the nExt day she offered to as Tuesday. I don't live in Philadelphia, and I had to go back to work- and last time I checked, facials don't cure first degree burns. She then sent me some hydroquinone for my face to my house to use-- 2%. This is something you can just get over the counter. This Wasn't anything special. She doesn't offer any money back, no refund, no nothing. I basically paid almost 200 dollars to add dark spots to my face and burn my face. I don't recommend this place to anyone. It's just throwing your money away.

I had a LOT of reservations about laser (cost, effectiveness, side effects, etc) but I also knew I needed a different solution for myself that was not constant waxing and sugaring and shaving. I was generously gifted a number of sessions at Bella Medspa and, now at the end, I can honestly say I wish I would have started the process years ago. I am SO, so happy with my results and am grateful for the team here for delivering on exactly what I wanted. That being said, there were some small hiccups along the way. - A change in management that lead to a near doubling of the cost of the particular treatments I was having done. I called management when this happened and they worked with me to put together a package where I could be grandfathered into the old rate by pre-purchasing sessions. This worked out since I ended up needing eight sessions to truly be "done" - but I found the rate hikes to be egregious. I believe the bikini line area went up from $75 a session (what I paid) to $120 a session. There is no price list on their website, which is just an SEO nightmare of trying to find real information through the obvious blur of search terms. - I didn't have the best experience with my initial technician who seems to no longer be working here. Pretty general answers to my queries, occasional call offs/appointment switching, etc. Nothing too crazy. Sarah, the new laser technician at this location, is truly so fabulous. She used to be at their other location so she's still super experienced, and answered all of my questions. She went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my results. She was also just super personable and someone I would go back to in a heartbeat if I decide to do additional areas in the future. A few other points of note and then I promise I'll wrap it up: + They do use ice but frankly I see it as a kindness since the process can be a little painful, especially as you move up in intensity. I had no adverse issues from the use of ice in the process (one reviewer here scared me a bit and this is a sign to be LESS online, people). I found the whole process to be overall MUCH less painful than waxing or sugaring start to finish. + Patience is key! The internet will say 6 sessions could be it but I would expect more like 8 or 9. You likely won't achieve full results for a year but I promise it's worth it. + Room here was always clean and I was literally in and out for every appointment, aside from the initial consultation, within 10 minutes. + Appointment booking system could not be easier. I always booked six weeks out at my previous appointment and could reschedule via text. I once completely forgotten I had been on antibiotics prior to the appointment (note: you cannot get laser if you've been on antibiotics in the last two weeks) and they let me cancel day of with no penalty. Things like that go a long way! One year worth of appointments = one long review. Overall: this is a great spot to get your laser treatments done for the price I paid.

Paypal advised me to dispute the charge through my bank. I feel that Tammi took my money and then ignored me. Unfortunately, too many rules are in place to protect the seller and not the buyer.
