I've had my fair share of spray tans over the years (my husband eve part owned a salon that gave them), and I have never had a color choice like the ones given here. I thought it was awesome! Originally I thought I would want to go darker with the "espresso" and Fran sprayed me, let me look at my tan line, and let me decide. But she was right, "mocha" was just perfect. It's your option to wear (or not) whatever you want. They do have disposable thongs available if you don't want to go au naturale, but want as much color as possible. Fran took her time with me, and even applied baby powder to soak up excess moisture on a very hot day to prevent streaking. Conversation was great and she was super professional. This can certainly be an awkward thing and Fran made me feel completely at ease. If this is your first spray tan be prepared to not get wet for 8-12 hours although for $10 more they have an express option which allows for showering in just 3 hours. Wear baggy dark clothes, exfoliate and shave prior to your appointment. Booking same day was super simple, but I would recommend calling at least a few days in advance. There's 10% with Yelp check-in and BOGO half for first timers. Went with the latter option and cannot wait to return the next time and get sprayed again when I have another special occasion or just want to feel extra golden and sexy. I UV tan regularly and this color is so incredibly difficult to attain that way. Plus, this spray is organic and much bette for you! They also have a full spa downstairs offering facials and lash services. Parking unmetered out front was super simple. Went perfectly with grabbing a bite at Suraya down the street. Awesome find!!

I've been coming to Valerie for at least 6 years now, and there's no one else I would trust my eyebrows to. Valerie was trained by Anastasia Beverly Hills, which is why I began going to her (I was previously driving over an hour just to get my brows done at an Anastasia salon), and I've continued coming to her for the last few years because of the amazing job she does. She used to be located at a high end local tanning salon, but since Fall 2016 has been operating independently in her own spot in downtown Center City Philadelphia. It is a bit pricer ($30) than just getting your eyebrows done at your local nail salon, but I promise you it is so worth it! Your eyebrows are shaped in proportion to your eyes & nose, all while relaxing on a salon table. Valerie even uses a magnifier to ensure she does a precise job. You can pay via cash or credit. She also does eyebrow tinting ($30), which I plan on trying my next visit! I have been going to see Melissa for bikini and brow waxing for about two years. I first decided to make an appointment because of the stellar reviews and because her previous Kensington location was walking distance from my house. Although she has since moved, I would not think of going anywhere else at this point because Melissa really is the "bee's knees" (sorry, I had to). Melissa is professional, personable and fun to talk to, which makes the experience of someone peering up your downside far less awkward. She is also just very good at waxing: very little pain/redness and absolutely smooth. She checks in during the entire process to make sure that you are comfortable. I am not over-selling when I tell you that she has consistently given me the best waxes I have ever had. She will also make sure that the wax is aesthetically perfect: even on both sides, every stray hair gone and every rogue one put back in its place. She is meticulously clean and careful, which I appreciate immeasurably during COVID times. The prices are lower than or comparable to other Philly beauty studios that I've frequented. I should mention that I also always request "a la carte" additions to my waxes, so that they are somewhere in-between bikini/full Brazilians. I had booked a lash appointment since this was the cheapest option I could find and the "lash tech"…read morejust said to go in on that day without a time. So I show up and I wait there for maybe 20 minutes and then she takes me to a room for me to get my service. The place looks very fancy and clean. I should have checked beforehand so this part may have been my fault but she was not using the individual lashes that most techs use. She was using cluster lashes which I was not aware of until after everything was done. The glue she was using kept getting in my eyes and it stung SO BAD I could not stop tearing up. She saw tears kept coming out and just wiped them and said it'll be fine once it dries. It was also hurting really bad like she was pinching my eyelid skin which made my eyes water even more. She was really nice so I didn't want to say anything and I just let her keep going. That's my bad. When she was done, it was still stinging so bad and that's when I realized they were cluster lashes. And the ends of the lashes were POKING MY EYELIDS. But she just told me to use the fan until it stopped stinging but after 20 minutes of it still stinging, I just paid and left. It was hard to tell how it really looked through my watery eyes until I got into my car and used the mirror in there. THEY WERE SO BAD AND UNEVEN AND MY RIGHT EYE WAS COMPLETELY RED. Not only that, it would poke my eye every time I blinked. I had to drive home teary eyed and in pain and immediately made an appointment to an actual lash extension place for the next morning before I even made it home. That whole night my right eye was in pain and when I went in for my appointment at the actual lash extension place, they had trouble getting the glue off. They literally had no idea what kind of glue that lady was using but there was no way to get it all off at once. They also recommended me to wait another day to get extensions because the previous ones I got BRUISED MY EYE which is why I was still in pain after the lashes were removed. DONT EVER COME HERE FOR EXTENSIONS. My eye was red for over a week after because the extensions were stabbing my eyes. Just pay more for better service because this is the absolute worst experience I had ever had with any service ever. If you zoom in on the photos, it's much easier to see but trust me it felt wayyy worse than it looks here and your eyes are not something you should play with. I usually tip 20% which I did this time anyway and the total was $90 including tip. Such a waste of money
