Thank you for such a wonderful time ! We stayed in the Roosevelt Suite in the carriage house and we adored it ! As a avid rare book collector I enjoyed the decor and history of dear old Teddy.. I loved the fireplace , bedroom , hot tub and African decor ! The coffee and tea upstairs The never ending roasted peanuts ... The swing on the front wrap around porch was divine and a special treat for us .. Huge Fireworks right on the porch ! ( July 4th week) You could even see them from our bedroom window ! We even brought our huge dog Gabriel .. who was instantly greeted with dog biscuits and dog bowls ! The breakfast at the inn was delicious every morning I loved the pesto eggs Homemade muffins ! Yum My boyfriend loved the waffles and ricotta French toast Thank you for your kindness and wonderful travel stories ( both of you! ) Glynn and his family were very hospitable ! We will be back !

We recently had the pleasure of staying in the Eisenhower Suite at the Glynn House Inn and I must say it was one of the finest places I have had the fortune to stay at, and I have stayed at many hotels, Inns, and Bed & Breakfasts throughout New England. The room was true to the period, tastefully decorated, impeccably clean, and extraordinarily comfortable (especially the bed). Glenn is a knowledgeable, gracious host, and not to mention a fabulous chef (do not skip the breakfast). Oh, and if you are looking for things to do or places to dine, just ask Glenn or check his website. It beats Trip Advisor or Yelp any day. Trust me. He's got your vacation planned no matter what season you are traveling and whether you are adventurous, laid-back, or a little bit of both. If you would enjoy staying at place like those found on the Historic Hotels of America list with Five-Star Service, this is the place to come. The only regret we have is that we had to cut our stay short. We will definitely be back; in fact, I think this will be our new "romantic retreat."

They will ask you all kinds of questions during your "stay". I specifically told them, because they are always around in their kitchen and living room, I was leaving my dog in my room while I went on a hike. They said they wanted to get him out and that it was OK for him to run around. Well, he is a small, delicate and rambunctious chihuahua that can easily, accidentally get hurt and I told them I wanted him left in my room. When I came back from my hike I discovered the owners had gone into my room as the door between the bathroom and room was left open (I had left with it closed) and the rugs were shifted. And my dog was not in the quarantined space I had created for him to be in while I was out of the room. How do I know what happened to him? The owners treat this inn as their home because that's what it is and apparently they will do whatever they want. At real hotels you can hang a Do Not Disturb sign on the door and not worry. If this place had signs to hang they would say We Will Enter Your Room Without Permission Even When You Ask Us Not To Because This Is Our Personal Home. According to New Hampshire law they should be making it clear that they live there prior to making a reservation so this needs to be reported. In response to Sheila- your comments to your negative reviews give insight into your character. If you truly do care about customer satisfaction you would make it clear on your website that you are renting out rooms in a home. That would ensure the comfort of all of your guests.

We had a few good days as it rained for most of our stay but we planned accordingly. There is plenty to do in the area to keep you busy as the resort has daily activities from touring local areas, going to lunch, wine & cheese at the main house (a good way to meet other owners and they also gave away free a week stay for anyone who put their name in the raffle box) The condo came equipped with all utensils/pots/pans/mixing bowls/glasses/dishes/knives/electric hand mixer/bottle opener/scissors/dish liquid/dishwasher detergent/garbage bags/vacuum cleaner/broom/ironing board Items to put on your list to bring: 1. Paper towels, tissues, 2. Laundry soap, fabric softener, bleach 3. Extra garbage bags as you will want to take your trash out everyday (dumpsters are conveniently located near each condo). 4. Duraflame logs - the weather was a little chilly at night (49 degrees) and early morning so make sure to bring at least 2 cases of Duraflame logs. I recommend the original Duraflame (yellow burns for at least 4 1/2 - 5 hours) (gold burns quicker 3-3 1/2 hours). Try to buy this at your local Walmart before coming as their local store in the area sells out quickly 5. Bring your blow dryer - there is not one in the unit. However, you can go to the main house and sign one out at no cost (just remember to bring it back when you check out) 6. DVD movies - there is a DVD player in the living room. However, they have a selection of movies at the main house which you can rent for $3.00 per night 7. No need to bring coffee filters as they supply enough for your stay Don't worry about bringing all your food with you as Hannaford Supermarket is only 5 miles away (10 minutes); NH Wine & Liquor and Super Walmart is also located on the same highway The only downside I found was: 1. I had trouble trying to figure out how to operate the self-storage heating unit 2. The smell of the sitting water from the washer/dryer unit after washing a load of clothes but the smell went away after a while Overall, I found this timeshare resort to be "Very Good"

A Marriot hotel offered at a slightly upgraded economy price. The location is perfect with a Market Basket, liquor store, BK and McDonalds nearby, as well as restaurants off course. Big parking lot nicely landscaped too. We had 2 different rooms. our bad as in retrospect we would have been happy with just the original 2 bed setup, but boss lady wanted a suite which is much larger and equipped with a desk, a second TV and a sleep-able couch. It was super roomy and more money but not necessary and I wouldn't do it again. Regular room is sufficient. The AC was great and quiet. That is huge plus to me who didn't have to use earplugs! I had no problem navigating the cable and Netflix. The bath and shower were good, (the suite had a bathtub). Didn't utilize the heated pool or gym but both looked fine, certainly adequate if you must use the treadmill on your stay. I really enjoyed the breakfast. Both days the hosts were super friendly and let's see scrambled or hard-boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, bagels, English muffins, cereals, yogurt, banana etc. The coffee which was very much needed was excellent. Here is where they won the "above and beyond award". Left my pillow LOL how could it be, it's my best friend. Anyways I called up Monday afternoon upon arriving home and after saying OMG 5 times I called the hotel and spoke to Collin who assured me that it happens all the time hmm ok there are other idiots like me. He said UPS will pick it up and they would run my card for the exact cost and ship it to me. Lo and behold today is only Wed and I have my pillow back! Great job Collin my employee of the month!

Jane is a lovely host, and it is apparent she seeks to please her guests by cooking up hearty, tasty breakfasts. This is no measly continental buffet...We were prepared fluffy scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes, buttery waffles, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, coffee and orange and cranberry juice. Enough to stuff us and our bottomless pit teenage son, and she gladly accommodated his food allergies. If that wasn't enough, Jane also has coffee/tea available throughout the day, and some cookies/pastries for grab and go. The 3rd floor Shabby Chic space is roomy for families with children with three separate sleeping rooms. As converted attic space, the angled ceilings are a bit low, and the tricky stairs and ceilings make it more suited to young shorter guests (we're all 5'8" or less). Cleaning protocols seem really solid, including bed, bath, and dining spaces. My only criticism is that while the numerous dried and/or fake roses are part of the theme/decor, they inevitably collect a lot of dust - not great for those with allergy sensitivities.

The Plymouth, New Hampshire area is notoriously difficult to get a room in the August timeframe. That is why we made our reservations in January. Now we are faced with paying $500+ a night for a room (if we can find one in the area) or having to travel an hour or more from a hotel room in another area to attend a wedding in Plymouth on the 20th. If this hotel really cared about its customers, they would have let us know immediately that the room was overbooked.

We first stayed here in May 2019 on the night my husband and I got engaged. We got engaged at the top of a multi-pitch rock climbing route in Rumney. Our families live far away, so we actually FaceTimed them from this Inn to share the news of our engagement with them. We went to The Last Chair next door for a celebratory dinner then had a lovely night at this Inn to enjoy our first night as an engaged couple. We came back to the Northeast last week for a wedding and spent a couple of days up in NH to do some hiking in the White Mountains. Now that it has been 5 years since our engagement, we thought it would be fun to stay here again to reminisce! We remembered Kevin right away--he is the most friendly and generous host. He makes you feel so welcome like you are family as soon as you arrive. We probably spent a couple hours talking with Kevin throughout our stay, he is just so wholesome and kind. He puts a lot of effort into adding special touches around the Inn to make it extra charming. Afternoon wine/cheese, a fridge filled with beer and waters, a coffee/tea station, freshly clipped roses in every room, chocolates and a cute quote on the bed, a guestbook to sign in your room, robes to wear. Not to mention the gourmet breakfast he makes for you in the morning! Ours was a fruit starter followed by homemade vanilla bean belgian waffles with hand carved local smoked bacon. There's also a hot tub outside that you can use. We came on a weeknight when the Inn wasn't very busy, so Kevin upgraded our room for free! We had such a lovely time here and really enjoyed coming back 5 years later. This place sets the bar high for a Bed & Breakfast--you get all the history (from the building to the stories of those who have lived there), beautiful grounds, a host with tremendous hospitality, and so many little things that add up to make this an unforgettable place to stay. After a few hundred more internet searches, we came across the affordable and convenient Pilgrim Inn and Cottages, and our weekend plans immediately started looking brighter. Granted, this experience is nowhere close to camping. But in the end, it was just what we wanted. The cottage we got (#114) was spacious with 2 full beds, a mini-fridge, microwave, A/C (enough of a reason to stay here by itself!), WiFi, and flatscreen TV. It also had a screened porch complete with table and chairs. Super comfortable! The cottage had a view of our car parked right in front (again - very convenient!), so you don't exactly feel like you're in nature. But if, like us, you spent 2 days out in nature hiking and ziplining, sometimes a bit of civilization is exactly what you need. The check-in and out process was smooth and service was friendly, with the sweet smell of incense filling the registration/breakfast room. And what is this?! Continental breakfast is included! I was so excited to see a waffle maker, so I whipped up some peanut butter & banana waffles. That sure hit the spot before a long day of roughing it! They also had yogurt, bagels, toast, cereal, coffee, juice, milk, and tea to ensure that you're off to a great start. Overall, Pilgrim is pretty perfect for the price! The location is great, just a short drive from the shops and restaurants of Plymouth (we enjoyed our dinner at Lucky Dog). It is also easy to get to some nice hiking spots in the White Mountains like Franconia. I'd be happy to return and recommend to others looking for a New Hampshire weekend escape.
