We spent two lovely evenings at Jane's Tea Rose Inn. While my personal style is more modern Crate and Barrel, I enjoyed stepping back in time to this ornately decorated Victorian B&B. Jane is a lovely host, and it is apparent she seeks to please her guests by cooking up hearty, tasty breakfasts. This is no measly continental buffet...We were prepared fluffy scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes, buttery waffles, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, coffee and orange and cranberry juice. Enough to stuff us and our bottomless pit teenage son, and she gladly accommodated his food allergies. If that wasn't enough, Jane also has coffee/tea available throughout the day, and some cookies/pastries for grab and go. The 3rd floor Shabby Chic space is roomy for families with children with three separate sleeping rooms. As converted attic space, the angled ceilings are a bit low, and the tricky stairs and ceilings make it more suited to young shorter guests (we're all 5'8" or less). Cleaning protocols seem really solid, including bed, bath, and dining spaces. My only criticism is that while the numerous dried and/or fake roses are part of the theme/decor, they inevitably collect a lot of dust - not great for those with allergy sensitivities. read more

We made reservations on January 15, 2020, for 2 adults and two nights, August 19th and 20th. On the morning of August 18th (the day before the reservation) they called us and told us that they had double-booked the room and because the other party had booked prior to us, our reservation was canceled. They had our reservation for over eight months and waited until the day before we were to arrive to tell us they had double-booked the room and that we no longer had a reservation!! The Plymouth, New Hampshire area is notoriously difficult to get a room in the August timeframe. That is why we made our reservations in January. Now we are faced with paying $500+ a night for a room (if we can find one in the area) or having to travel an hour or more from a hotel room in another area to attend a wedding in Plymouth on the 20th. If this hotel really cared about its customers, they would have let us know immediately that the room was overbooked. read more

Amazing and wonderful! Highly recommend for a super clean comfortable place to stay in a big ole Victorian Inn. Jane puts out a spectacular breakfast for her guests she does not skimp by any means, from eggs Benedict to homemade waffles with bacon etc, you won't leave hungry! , 24/7 coffee tea service, always great cookies and desserts served. Each room different patterns and colors making it a unique experience in whatever room you chose. read more

We had such a lovely stay here! We came here to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary at the Barn on the Pemi; just down the street from the inn. It was the perfect walking distance to downtown Plymouth (about 8-10 min). I recommend making a dinner reservation at the Six Burner Bistro. We stayed in the Green Room. It was very spacious and had a lovely Rose theme. I loved the chandelier in the bathroom and towels galore! We had more than enough towels for our stay which was lovely. Most places we never feel like we have enough. Jane and Frank were lovely hosts. We asked for a bottle of champagne and they were so generous with accommodating our request. They even put us in our own special breakfast nook in the morning. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful! There was scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, blueberry pancakes, muffins, scones, fruit, and fresh juice and coffee! They also have a cute inn cat named Lilly. She greeted us on our way out for dinner. Too cute! We will definitely be back to celebrate our next anniversary. read more

This is a lovely place to spend a night (or a weekend!). The innkeepers are incredibly welcoming. I arrived late, and Jane was waiting up for me with hot beverages and cookies. She was decorating for Christmas and the house was *amazing* - a giant, beautiful Christmas tree, cute decorations everywhere, and lots of beautiful lights. My room was very comfortable - a great bed, plenty of warm covers, and very beautifully decorated. Definitely not a place to bring your kids, or maybe your friends if they're clumsy ;) Jane really does her best to make sure you feel taken care of. There are water and beverages available upstairs, and other snacks down in the dining area. I have never stayed at a B&B before, and it's definitely a different experience from staying in a large impersonal hotel! When I came down to breakfast in the morning, I enjoyed a leisurely meal with the other guests - all of us in some way visiting Plymouth State. My second morning, Jane made an amazing breakfast of French toast and bacon - delicious! If you're in the area, I'd absolutely recommend staying here. It's all the comforts of home ... but you don't have to do the cooking! read more

Why am I the first to review this great place? My wife and I made a trip to NH for a snowboarding trip at Loon. A friend of ours came too and decided to stay away from the mountain, so he chose this place. Our main requirement? A big breakfast in the morning and a place with a pool table within walking distance. This B&B was perfect. We found out as we got off the highway this place is within walking distance to Plymouth State University and as we drove closer to the Tea Rose Inn, we were a little worried about college kids in the streets. Make no mistake, there are kids roaming the streets and being college kids as they should be but we had no incidents. We were provided with ear plugs if we had problems with the noise. I sleep like a rock so I didn't need them. Frank and Jane have a BEAUTIFULLY decorated home. My wife and I stayed in the Green Room and it was so nicely decorated, we were afraid to move around too much to avoid knocking anything over. Our king bed was a sleep number bed so we were able to adjust the comfort of the bed. We didn't spend a whole lot of time around the house except for breakfast time. OMG.....WHAT A BREAKFAST. Jane cooked up egg quiche and french toast along with sausages, bacon, home fries, etc. There were assorted muffins, biscuits, bagels, cereal, etc. I had a little bit of almost everything and I was so stuffed. That REALLY made it worth the stay. Frank and Jane were very hospitable and welcoming. I would love to stay at their place again next time we're in the area. You'll have to be VERY careful if bringing young ones as there are many things that could get knocked over. Looking forward to my next trip to NH! read more

After a long drive up north, a pleasant surprise awaited us on pleasant street. From dusk 'till dawn, the service at the door, tour of the house- a full hot breakfast and choice of hot beverages in the morning- as well as the beautiful Tower Room was a pampered and welcoming experience. This place is a brilliant find. Wonderful owners/company, great room (Green Room) and food that has made me eat more than I have in quite some time (i.e. bleeding delicious). I travel every week or two for business and have held off reviews for a year as there are too many.The Tea Rose Inn has broken that silence. Whatever brings you to town...make this your place to stay. Jane and Frank have put so so much effort into making this place a better home away from home that I cannot fully express the pleasure of my stay. The bed is a sleep number with to die for fleecy sheets. The ensuite bathroom was the right size for a big lad with a nice adjustable shower head. There are so many nicknacks and things to look at I was in heaven but as with other reviews you will want to be careful as there is quite a bit to knock about! Also not a business hotel if you want to work in room as such but I had a lovely time on rocker in my room and it was really nice to take a moment and enjoy where I was rather than emailing all the time. The food for breakfast was amazing. I felt bad not finishing it all but enjoyed every single bite. I couldn't wait for day 2! This is THE place to stay in Plymouth or even if you need a place for something slightly further afield. read more

Jane and her husband welcomed us with our last minute booking with warmth. We enjoyed our delicious home cooked breakfast with other guests. Jane really puts on a lovely spread, with a lot of delicious variety and choices (pumpkin pancakes with real maple syrup). Their home and B&B is very lovely and well decorated. We happened upon the TeaRose Inn while looking for a hotel during my son's lacrosse tournament. It looked adorable and when I saw the 3 bedroom suite I knew I had to go. Well, I was so happy I did. This Inn is so beautifully decorated and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in. One of the cleanest Inns I have ever been to, every inch was sparkling. The owners were the best!! We loved them. We had wonderful conversations and enjoyed their company. To top it off they give you an amazing breakfast! Oh my, I can't say enough about how delicious everything was! My husband and I stayed at the Tea Rose Inn recently during a trip to the east coast, Jane and Frank were so amazing, I really felt like I'm at home with family, Jane was so warm and loving. Every day she would bake cookies and offer us some with tea. Breakfast was great so tasty and everything was fresh, Jane is a great baker and cook. Let me just start off by saying this place was so beautiful and charming. Felt very welcomed and at home. As soon as we arrived we were greeted at the door. Unfortunately we didn't get the opportunity to meet the owners but their daughter and son in law were filling in while they were away for a wedding. And Ashley did such a wonderful job. Everything was so perfect. We stayed in suit on the third floor. It was so charming beds were great bathroom was very nice and clean. So much better than a hotel. It was my in laws first time in a bed and breakfast and it has changed the way they want to stay other places. We were here for a wedding our selves all the way from Florida and just felt so at home. Definitely plan on coming back and when we do we will not hesitate to stay here again. Breakfast was out of this world! Coffee was so good I had to ask what kind to buy some at home. But I won't ramble much more. If your ever on the fence at trying a bed and breakfast or looking at this place do it! I stayed at the Inn with my daughter while visiting my brother in New Hampshire. The Innkeepers, Jane and Frank, are absolutely wonderful and friendly people. The Inn is charming, cozy and beautifully decorated! The bed was clean and heavenly to sleep in! The hot breakfast was delicious and plentiful! Upon our return for the night, there were fresh baked cookies waiting for us as well as a great selection of teas and coffee to choose from. I went back to my alma mater to speak to students, and I was so impressed with the Tea Rose Inn that I immediately told my parents to stay there when next they come to the region. Elegant and visually appealing, the inn itself is a fantastic place to walk into even before Jane and her husband make you feel right at home.
