    Burger and fries
    Jillian B.

Stopped by for a bite to eat the other night - I've come before and had their fries, but I have heard good things about the burger, so I chose to split that with my partner. Overall, the burger and fries were both pretty solid. It was a pretty quiet evening, so food came out quickly. Would recommend if you're looking for a bite in the area.

    Medium rare Sunday roast.

Came here for the sunday roast and was pleasantly surprised and impressed! For $30 it's a fairly good value for the amount of food. A few negatives though: The gravy did not taste like it was made with pan drippings or even this roast. It was watered down and had a bad taste. The yorkshire pudding was made a while ago and not fresh. Positives: The meat was great and the drippings on the plate made up for a decent gravy. The peas were a big hit and they were hot and freshly roasted! There were some cubes of turnip that were fantastic. The carrots were fresh and perfectly cooked. The potatoes were nicely roasted and had a good outer layer. Not bad. I'd visit again if I cant make it out to the UK foe the real deal.

Had a very good meal and a really good time on Sunday. Our server Carmen was super nice. Very attentive and made great recommendations. The Sunday roast was delicious as was the Guinness. The Irish coffee can be improved. Will be back to enjoy the great atmosphere, service, food and Guinness.

    Fried Chicken Sandwich

I've been here several times and it's usually decent enough but visiting for St Patrick's Day was not the move. They offered a variety of festive dishes, we opted to try the Guinness & Beef Stew, the Chicken pot pie (which is also on the usual menu), and a steak sandwich. The beef stew was tasty but the portion seemed to be one scoop from the pot and did not come with the potatoes and peas as listed. For nearly $30 I expected a much heartier meal but left hungry!! The steak sandwich was a major letdown. The skirt steak was sliced in the wrong direction so I could not bite through the large chunks. I kind of wanted to cry eating this. Usually the fries would be redemption but I could tell they were cooked previously, then refried before serving. They were still salty and tasty enough to eat. My company seemed to enjoy the chicken pot pie. Prices are high for what you get. The ambiance is really pleasant and the staff is really great. I think just stick to the burgers and you'll be okay!

This place was very very expensivee for what it was, the buffalo flavor on the wings was hot and hard to eat. The inside looks like your average pub, the food is pub food too, yet they try to act like it's fine dining. I would buy into it if the server didn't forget about us but she didn't touch our table once after taking our order and I had to go find her to get the check.

I had tried going to Fanelli's Cafe on a Saturday afternoon for a solo brunch, but it was so packed I decided against it. So I stumbled upon GMT Tavern and had an amazing Steak Sandwich and Aperol Spritz. The drink prices were a little high, but that's to be expected of the area. It was pretty quiet, but had an upscale feel, and the bartender mentioned they show all sports including UFC fights so it's definitely a reason to go back!

Loved the ambiance, but the drinks were a little subpar. The long islands were really heavy on the sour & so light on liquor they were still as dark as straight cola.

Came here for a quick drink with a friend. We sat indoors as it was a pretty windy day. Friendly service with COVID-19 safety measures in place: - temperatures taken - contact details requested - all employees wearing masks - sanitizers available We ordered a round of drinks; fries for the kids. The shoestring fries were fresh, delicious and addictive I wanted to order another one but didn't want to ruin my appetite for impending dinner.

    Martini (8/10)

So happy this spot reopened! Tried it for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the service was (very attentive and quick) and their extensive menu. We were waiting to grab dinner at bar moga around the corner, so we just ordered fries, but the rest of the food that came out of the kitchen looked phenomenal (def want to go back and try). I ordered a martini (which was delicious) and they even served the extra from the shaker on the side! My partner got the Honey Deuce (which was a little sweet for me), and seemed to really enjoy it too. They also had a nice selection of seltzers so we got one to split after. Would def go back for drinks and to try more of their food!

There is currently construction and scaffolding in front of the place, but you'll see signage where to go at the opening of the scaffolding. We walked in, past the bar and checked in. We were seated within 5 minutes. I ordered a bourbon old-fashioned and we ordered crab rangoon as a starter. There were a lot of them and the sweet chili sauce was great. For my entree, I ordered the vodka rigatoni and a side of buttered broccoli. The vodka rigatoni was really good - liked the flavor and a decent size of pasta. The broccoli was really good for some reason to me. Also tried the truffle mac and cheese which was incredibly rich and tasted great. As a dessert, we had the chocolate pie which was dense, rich, and topped with a huge dollop of whipped topping. I really liked the atmosphere of the place, loud roaring 20s style with jazz playing. Plus I kept finding myself checking out the mural on the wall. Try it for yourself - but worth the fight to get a table.

Did an earlier dinner on a Saturday with a friend at the bar. We got some similar items, some different. The thing I kept the same was my martinis and all three (sour cream and onion, tomato, and espresso) were just as amazing as ever. Food-wise, I stuck mainly to the classics with one new dish: - Pizza rolls: Very good but 3 pizza rolls for $20 felt small to me. I feel like I remember seeing others served more when I've gone in the past, but not completely sure. They're nostalgic and fun, nothing to die for. - Fries: Great as ever, we opted for just one of the sauces (avocado dill). - French Dip: This used to be cut in 3 pieces and now it's 2. Works well with a duo but I do think it's actually a little smaller now than before when I compare photos. - Samoa sundae: Still amazing, still so so worth. It was fun going with a friend who hadn't been before and seeing the joy upon trying the dish! Bar service is friendly as always and they do a decent job moving you along to ensure the necessary turnover without feeling too rushed.

I Ordered the Lobster Roll Twice. No Regrets…read more The Corner Store at Houston and West Broadway has been on my list forever, and it did not disappoint. The hype is real and then some. Let's start with the Lobster and Caviar Roll. Maine lobster, brioche, caviar. It is genuinely one of the best bites I have had in this city, and I say that as someone who eats out constantly. I ordered a second one. Zero shame. Truly an all-timer. The crudo was equally impressive: delicate, pristine, and light in a way that made you want to slow down and actually taste it. The kind of dish that quietly earns its place on the table. Now, the everything bagel Caesar. I cannot overstate this. Everything bagel croutons, warm crispy cream cheese bites tucked in, piles of parmesan. It sounds like a gimmick and it absolutely is not. It is one of the most creative and satisfying salads I have had in recent memory. Ordered it, demolished it, thought about it on the way home. The five cheese pizza rolls round out the meal perfectly. Flaky, cheesy, indulgent without being heavy. Comfort food that actually has a point of view. The room is beautiful, the velvet booths and marble floors deliver that old New York energy without trying too hard, and the service keeps pace with the food. Get the reservation. Get two lobster rolls. Thank me later.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I would return to Friedman's when I'm in the Herald Square area, or check out one of their other locations in the city.
