The copper still has what is probably my favorite happy hour in the city!! My partner and I come fairly frequently (which is a big deal itself since we try to avoid repeating places) when we find ourselves in east village and it never disappoints. Their happy hour goes until 8pm which is a huge plus if you're working late, and consists of $10 cocktails and cheap drafts. There is also a deal on a guinness and a shot for $12! My go to cocktail on the happy hour menu is the antioxidant, which while sweet, is also quite spirit forward. Copper still also has a large whiskey list, which my partner always looks forward to browsing and ordering from . But the real star of the happy hour is the hot chicken slider, which we both agree is in our top 3 chicken sandwich in the city.. and each one is only $3. We order those and tater tots (not on happy hour but a generous portion for the price) and are set for food! The tater tots come with a housemade bacon ranch, which while I'm not a fan of ranch, I am OBSESSED with this bacon ranch. Pro tip, try to get extra bacon ranch so you can put some on the sliders too. It's dynamite.

Had a great time at The Copper Still. When we were done doing the Time Square tourist very overwhelming thing, this was the perfect bar/restaurant for a few drinks and good music. Super chill vibe inside. Our Bartender Ady was awesome. Attentive and creative. Met some cool locals. Shishisto peppers were the perfect bar snack. Highly recommend.

So happy we stumbled into this spot. We were trying to watch a football game but our local college bar was too crowded. We finally found this spot after visiting a few others, and got a table for 7. Drink prices were much more reasonable compared to other places we were looking at. Food looked delicious and also was reasonably priced. Staff was super friendly and put the game on all TVs for us. They even had a live band in there who were wrapping up just as we came in, so we got to enjoy some awesome music. The pulled pork sandwich was great. I loved the She Hulk, but the TATOR TOTS WERE SO CRISPY! Piping hot too. So grateful for all the accommodating staff that got us everything we needed.

Came here since the place was big enough for our party of 11. They seated us at this bar table area with this big concrete pole between us so I couldn't see half of the table. We got a bunch of brunch entrees all of it was just okay. I got the fried chicken and waffles. The waffles were really good. The fried chicken was kinda soggy and needed more seasoning. My other friends said their entrees were okay but nothing special. I should have picked more of a restaurant type feel but it was our last brunch in the city so it was good to fill out belly's before we left.

Dirty glass. This place is terrible!

We just made happy hour and half the drinks were pure sugar. The other half were pure ginger beer. We all had complaints. The waitress doesn't understand what a vegetarian is so asked me if I wanted "no sauce" instead of a vegetarian sauce bc most have bacon. They brought us all an " extra shot" for our beverages and it still taste like water. Part of me wants to walk out and say "you know better". Come if you're under 25 and just dgaf. P.S. look at this cup. I've only drank out of a straw and the glass is so dirty! Tater tots are too fried and hollow! I will never come back.

2 hours bottomless brunch for $25 pp plus entree. The mimosas definitely hit. It's not all orange juice; they aren't shy on the champagne. The fried chicken sandwich was good but weird that it doesn't come with any sides. I got a side of fries to go with my sandwich. They are not strict on the two hours. I got there around 2:15pm and around 5pm I was still here enjoying the bottomless mimosas.

Great HH spot, keep in mind when you order the fried chicken burger and pulled pork burger it's priced per, so you have to order more than one if you plan on sharing. I think the cocktails were way too sweet but the beer and mixed drinks are normal. Seating is kind of tight i would say

I had been meaning to try this place for a while but have to say I was a little disappointed. First off, I ordered a Maine Lunch IPA and received a 10 ounce pour instead of a pint. It wasn't listed as smaller pour on the menu and I wasn't warned by the bartender. When I asked about it later, they just said that that's the way they pour it with not much apology or remedy. I think it's really messed up that they charge $9 for a 10oz pour for a beer that's not super special and not a super high ABV. The food was also pretty mediocre. Frozen breaded buffalo wings with no effort to make homemade buffalo sauce or blue cheese. Even the fries were lacking. Undercooked and not crispy. The only thing they had going for them was having the World Cup games on with sound. Thank you for that. But I don't think I will go back.

It ended up being a nice spot for a casual catch-up, though with a few mixed impressions. The space itself is cute and very much feels like a neighborhood bar. One of the things we liked most was that they have games available--we ended up playing Scrabble while waiting for our friend to arrive, which made the time go by quickly and added to the relaxed vibe. Happy hour prices are solid, and the fried pickles we shared were decent. I also had a watermelon cocktail that was refreshing and perfectly fine, if not particularly memorable. Service was a bit inconsistent. The bartender wasn't very warm or welcoming to us initially, though that changed once our friend--who is a regular--arrived. Overall, it's a comfortable spot to meet friends and hang out for a few hours, especially on a weekday like Thursday. That said, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return, but I can see why it works well as a local neighborhood hang.

Not too crowded, the wait for a pool table was about 30 minutes, enough for a quick round of shuffleboarding. The games are relatively cheap, and there's so much variety, ping pong and board games. The live jazz is really what sets this place apart from the other pool halls, starting around 7 pm with what seems like maybe the house band and I think they have guests later in the night. It's the perfect atmosphere, fun lighting, lots of grungy writing on the walls, good indie music from the 2010s before the jazz starts. Plus the spacing of the tables is good so you're not constantly bumping into other players, which is a pet peeve of mine. I'm sure it's busier later in the night but it's perfect for an early stop in the evening. Cheap drinks and good deals as well!

It's actually a legacy spot in disguise. This basement used to house Fat Cat, a longtime West Village institution that shut down right before the pandemic, and before that the room itself was a bowling alley, tucked into a 1932 Art Deco building a few steps from Stonewall. Drink selection isn't the draw here, don't come expecting a deep cocktail list. Crowd skews heavily undergrad, and the place is loud, so it's not the spot for an intimate one-on-one or a real group conversation. It's built for a different kind of hang: elbow your way to a table, keep your hands busy, let the noise do the rest. There's also live jazz most nights, which adds a nice layer if you catch it at the right time. Neat place, just know what you're walking into.

The servers were all nice and patiently explaining the menu to us and everyone else. The lighting is a bit dim and the volume is a bit loud but we were able to still hear our party speak. DRINKS: We got the Wagyu old fashioned and the coffee martini. The Wagyu old fashioned was neat. I was left with a finishing note of peanut butter which cut the fat (which was subtle and good). The coffee martini was light and different from other espresso martinis that often have milk. Overall, very balanced and creative drinks. FOOD: We had dinner plans with friends later in the light so we wanted to share small bites. We initially wanted to order the volcano roll to share but the server suggested that two might be better since the tuna was on one side and sticky rice was on the other side, so we didn't get it. We got the shrimp toast instead, along with a mochi French fry and the bw chicken. The shrimp toast was small but probably bigger than what the volcano roll would have been. The flavor was good, with some brightness/citrus in the sauce the shrimp and lobster is mixed in. I was planning on giving this experience four stars for portion size but we really enjoyed the bw chicken so upped it to five stars. (Receipt included in pictures for price reference; September 2026.) The mochi French fry was fun. It had cheddar cheese powder on top and came with a Gochujang aioli that was tasty with a nice amount of spice. The bw chicken was the showstopper - so juicy and tasty!
