They had a beer and wine so I ordered a glass of wine and my friend ordered a beer. My sandwich came and it was huge and very very sloppy in a good way! With my sandwich I had a side of baked beans. The sandwich was fantastic and the baked beans were okay. My friend liked her spud as well and it was also huge. It was a pub with an outside patio and I hear they also do music some of the time on the patio but we were there midday and there was no music at that time. We will definitely try this pub again and try something else on the menu next time.

Buffalo chicken wrap was half the size of normal, we typically take half of it home because my girlfriend can't complete both halves and now it fits in the palm of your hand. All new staff, we recognize no one, and they are just in a rough spot from what is normal. Disappointing.

But there is another distillery quietly making small-batch, high-quality spirits in Nashville, and that's Bear Wallow Distillery. Located just outside of downtown Nashville, Bear Wallow Distillery is one of the only female-owned distilleries in the country. They create their spirits in a traditional copper pot still, which I learned is unique. Inside the tasting room, you can enjoy a whiskey tasting or a flight, or sip a craft cocktail and relax in the shop. I chose to enjoy a "Call Me Old Fashioned" standing up at the bar, while chatting with the guy who made me my drink. My Old Fashioned was well balanced, not too sweet and made me feel all warm inside, as a good Old Fashioned should. Those who are interested in learning more about the whiskey-making craft can go on a Farm-to-Fifth Tour, which takes you behind the scenes to learn about the history of whiskey and see the full production process. I did, and I found it very informative! I had a new appreciation for the kind of whiskey and spirits they are making here at Bear Wallow Distillery. From the ingredients they choose to the barrels they use, they really put their foot in it, as they say. If you like whiskey, or just like to try local spirits, this is a good place to visit in Nashville.

I also ordered a chicken salad sandwich and ended up taking half of it to go. It was tasty but it surprisingly had onions in it which I would not have expected with red grapes in it. Our waitress was top notch as she checked on us several times. The restaurant was perfect for dining. Not too loud. I am looking forward to coming again while I am in Nashville for the week.

There was a live band (the reason we sought out this place) and they charge a $5/pp cover charge. Their menu is basic bar food - mozzarella sticks, burgers, poppers, fries, etc. (no wings). The burgers looked REALLY good and everyone was ordering them but we weren't hungry enough to get one. We arrived around 7:15PM and stayed until last call. We each had 4-5 beers in that time (since we had to drive out of there on back country roads) and we split an order of mozzarella sticks and our total bill was only $30! Amazing! Note: they do allow smoking, almost everyone in there was smoking, and the ventilation system didn't do much to help the air flow. At one point my eyes were burning pretty bad - but it's a dive bar and I was not expecting it to be non-smoking. It's a cool little joint and I'm glad we went!

The owner was sitting at the bar and said they have no glasses so I would have to buy a bottle of water. I have no problem buying a bottle of water but you are telling me that at a BAR you have no glasses? Not to mention I can very plainly see the stack of glasses behind the bar. I wanted ICE water so I refused it. I don't appreciate being lied to and refuse to give any money to him even if it's just a couple dollars for a bottle of water.
