My partner and I visited Hog Molly's two weeks ago while visiting Columbus. I am so glad we stopped by. We passed a very pleasant evening on the patio. Hog Molly's is everything I like about a brewery, delicious beer, particularly their Rushin' Record Imperial Stout and Remember the Tartans Scottish Ale, beverages for non-beer drinkers, a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, and super cool, friendly, fun staff (Sarah was a blast to chat with). My only knock is that they're 10 hours away from me. And that's really a me problem. We had so much fun. I recommend visiting early and often. read more

Loved the selection of beers that they had! The beer tender allowed me to try a few (I'm super indecisive) and honestly there wasn't one beer that I tried that I wouldn't order. I did half a glass of the 2-a-days lemon IPA (this beer is sooo refreshing & perfect for the summer) and I had the rest of the glass of the Mangonero IPA which has just a tiny kick of spice that adds a nice flavor without overdoing it. The Morning Workout Coffee Stout was also sooo good!! They have a nice little courtyard if you want to hang outside, games, and a small kitchen (we didn't get food as the kitchen was closed). The wife, Dog and I decided to try hog Molly brewing company in Columbus, Indiana. They have a huge parking lot and the nicest backyard patio I've ever seen. It had overhead cover and Astroturf with plenty of seating. if it's raining or the weather is bad they have an indoor pet room as well with a bar. to get your drinks you must go inside and order from the bartender who was super friendly and nice and yes, I did try several samples since it was our first time here. For food you go to another window and put your food order in. We had the pulled pork nachos. I will say they were delicious. Perhaps the best I've ever had. It was kind of nice because they let you select and put your own sauce on. They also gave you plenty of jalapeños why we were just sitting there two different sets of folks very politely started conversation and we ended up meeting some folks that lived down the street from us. The whole experience was fantastic. The service was wonderful. The patrons were friendly. The patio was the best I've ever seen and oh yes, they had plenty of TVs in the bar to watch game day. We had lots of fun here with friends watching the a game, and listening to the band. Beer is great, we really like the fruit flavored and pumpkin beers. The fruited flavors are blond beers, and not those nasty tart beers. Our food selection of pretzels bits and crab Rangoon were delicious too. Get an order of their ranch sauce, it's good on anything. Cool place with good vibes and drinks. The Red Head strawberry Hefeweizen is awesome tasting. The staff is friendly and really helpful if it's your first time and new to breweries. Worst customer service ever. Was at the bar and was not allowed to move the bar stool from one side of the bar to the front to sit next to my wife. We had such a fun time hanging out at Hog Molly Brewing with our dog on their enclosed outdoor patio. They had lots of heaters spaced around and provided blankets just in case we got cold. What a great touch! You will not go hungry here as they offer snacks, they have a food truck and allow you to bring in your own food. We enjoyed our dinner with a flight of beer each. The beers were delicious! Their playbook of beers range from light to dark and offer their classic beers as well as their seasonal beers. They offer cider and wines as alternatives for those non beer loving people. The brewery is family owned by husband and wife who are active in the brewery. Hog Molly Brewing was our second stop on our road trip to Columbus, IN. This was very neighborhood like type of Brewery, and the owners of the Brewery were very one on one with us and talked to us about the beer and the Brewery. The owners of the Brewery were a husband and wife who learned how to home brew beer right after they retired from their jobs. Martha, the wife, spent a lot of time with us talking about how the Brewery came about and how they came about with their beers. It was excellent and impressive to have that one on one interaction with the owner and learn about their history of the Brewery. The beers were very good and the decor of the Brewery was unique and exquisite with sayings all around the walls related to alcohol. I highly recommend the Session Lemon IPA and the Chocolate Breakfast Stout. They were two of my favorites. I loved Hog Molly Brewing and would recommend everyone to check out this Brewery in Columbus, IN. Another winner in my book! read more

If you like your breweries to have a more intimate feel while serving great tasting beer, this place is worth tracking down. They have been open about a month and have six brews on tap. The owners were on hand behind the bar and apparently, the father and one of the sons played offensive linemen in football, which according to their website are positions called "Hog Mollies". So, you will see some football decor around the seating area. There was even a playoff game on the television screens too! The best way to find this is to look for the first side street heading south of US 31 on the east side of the elevated stretch over Indianapolis Avenue. That street leads to Depot and you take a right. The brewery is a half block away on the right. They have their own paved parking lot with some designated handicapped parking and an access ramp as well as stairs. Inside, the seating area and restrooms are to the right. The bar and additional seating are on the left. Simply place your order at the right side of the bar which is also where you settle your bar tab. I went with a flight. Each of the six brews is individually priced so you can get a 5 oz serving of as many as you select. I decided to go with four choices which included an amber, an IPA, a chocolate/breakfast stout, and I finished with a Scottish ale. I really liked the first three. The amber was nicely balanced while the IPA reminded me of a grapefruit juice with its blend of tart/bitter flavor. The stout was smooth and almost creamy tasting. Very good! I also got the Scottish Ale which is a hearty 10.1% ABV with a robust smoky taste. I am not usually a Scottish Ale drinker, so the smokiness caught me by surprise. I think this would be a really good one to eat with the charcuterie board food they have available. Although they don't have much food and only six brews currently, I hope they will consider adding more hours (Friday and Saturdays only now), and maybe add some more ales as they get better established. There aren't a lot of food options nearby (it's an industrial area), so you can use a food delivery or just plan on bringing something with you. The folks behind the counter were really friendly and upbeat making the place seem like a cool place to hang out and most importantly, like I was a welcome guest. Really enjoyed my visit! I originally wanted to try their lemon pineapple IPA, but it was already tapped out. However, I thought it was really cool they had "flavor shots" (blood orange, pineapple and raspberry) to add to any of their beers. I tried the pineapple in the Hefeweizen, it was good but I really couldn't taste the pineapple. However, my fiancé added the blood orange to his lemon IPA and it was really great. This place had plenty of parking, large patio, but didn't serve food. My only complaint, is no one really followed the mandatory mask. The servers were a bit careless too, they may have had a mask on, however their noses were exposed. I wish they would follow the regulations, especially when I as the patron was clearly following. read more

Hog Molly has been on my list since Savor Lebanon in early May. I sampled some of their beer at that time and knew I needed to head south soon. Hog Molly is located within a small business/manufacturing area off Interstate 65. We visited on a recent Sunday afternoon. They had live music on an inviting patio in front. We went inside to get a beer and sat at the bar. The door was open to the patio outside so we were able to enjoy the live music on the patio. My husband and I ordered a flight of four with the Der Coaches Wifeliken Hefeweizen, Red Headed Cheerleader Strawberry Hefeweizen, Eye Black Chocolate Breakfast Stout and the Ankle Breaker Amber. They were all delicious and Lou and Martha Krempel are doing great things at Hog Molly. Very nice people and we loved the atmosphere! On a whim, I decided to get the Real Root Beer Float. Boy am I glad I did! After an explanation of my options, I picked the Hefeweizen and orange sherbert combination. Amazing! Also, a bonus that Geri Girl Bakery was there with some sweet treats. Hands down one of the best breweries we have come across. The Krimpel family works at brewery and are a lot of fun. On a Sunday Geri Girl Bakery provided sausage rolls, ham and cheese braids as well as sweets for $3 each. There was a band playing '60s, '70s pop. Cute and cozy brewery I stopped by after doing an architecture tour in Columbus. They had a food truck in the parking lot and were setting up a stage for live music later in the evening. Hog Molly Brewing has only been open 2 days (Dec 2019). So far, so good though. Cool place to hang out, sample the taps (6 so far), watch sports on the wall tvs, take a tour of the brewing operation, grab a snack from the food truck outside and chill in the newest brewery in Columbus. What a fun place. Not quite Columbus and thank goodness! These beers are legitimately wonderful. I arrived with the ambition of having an eye black stout. Mission accomplished. I had two of those because they are delightful. I decided that we had to taste them all so I could wrIte a propped review. So we did. Very nice IPAs. Hoppy but still flavorful. The amber was the perfect palate cleanser. I look forward to having large glasses of the lemon IPA next summer! The food truck tonight made ice cream from the lemon IPA and it was amazing. My daughter and I stopped in Hog Molly for a quick beer on Saturday afternoon. This spot is so friendly and cozy, we ended up staying for half the afternoon! The beers were solid, the snacks were tasty and the hospitality was superb! The logo is extra cool making the merch irresistible--especially since we were technically out to finish up our Christmas shopping! If I understood correctly, the merchandise is made by a local artisan. We also got a growler to go. It was a big hit at dinner last night. I'm no expert but I thought the Ankle Breaker Amber paired beautifully with our NY strips without overwhelming the more delicate vegetable flavors in the sides. We took the tour, which is NOT to be missed. The sweat and dreams poured into this brewery make a good story and knowing the math, science and engineering behind the beer enhance the experience. We were wondering our way from central Illinois down to Tennessee and we happened to find this brewery in Columbus, IN and I am glad we did. The owners were not only friendly, but knowledgeable about their beers. My wife and I split a flight of 6 beers and we truly enjoyed them all. They also have "flavoring" you can add to the beer, which we had never seen before, but we didn't try it. Some of the locals in there added jalapeño flavoring.
