I love my local supermarket. It is my go to place for meat, such as steak. I got two steaks for about 10$ and they were great quality, can't find that at stop and shop. The only reason for not giving five stars, unfortunately some of the prices are too high for your everyday items. I understand of course but I'd rather go to a more affordable place for bigger shops. read more

I would have put no stars if I could. Apparently the Manager of Gnazzo's could use some customer service pointers!!! I will not shop in the store any longer. I simply asked the Manager if I could get even one extra of the Pepsi 5 for $5 deals. You would have thought I was asking for Gold!!!! I'm sure KEITH GNAZZO would love to hear how his employees treat people. And according to the reviews customer service needs some work! He then said to me that he couldn't do it, and the ad says 5 for 5, and he couldn't understand why people needed more than that, then how restaurants come in and buy them out....really? Don't you want to sell your items??? I told him I was having a get together and could use extra. Would it have hurt him to say ok I'll let you have 5 more at that price. This is a small local grocery store that has many good sales. The store doesn't have shiny floors or sparkly shopping carts but the prices are reasonable. I only shop their sales and will stop when I need cheap produce. Their prices are better than Price Chopper. Every time I'm there the store seems to be full of senior citizens. I'm not sure what it is about the store that attracts that particular population. I'm assuming the size of the store makes grocery shopping stress free for older people? The staff are always friendly and helpful. There seems to be someone available to help at all corners of the store. They have their own parking space but do be careful since many of the customers are older, you might find cars backing up and surprising you. read more

I will never step foot in this store again after my experience today. I was waiting on line to check out with one person in front of me. When they were finished and almost at the door to leave, I stepped up and put my two items down on the far end of the belt and still stood back (nowhere near the other customer who was putting things away in her purse). I was apparently standing slightly over the blue line on the floor that you're supposed to wait behind due to social distancing guidelines. The cashier decided to call me out and shame me. She said "Wow, you're really pushing social distancing, aren't you? We're actually supposed to stay behind the blue line."and turned to the other customer and rolled her eyes. I am very aware and respectful of social distancing since I really have no desire to get sick, or get someone else sick. I was well beyond six feet away from the other customer But apparently that line is the ride or die. Instead of politely asking me to step back she decided to be rude and sarcastic and shame me. I wish I could say that this was the first time I've encountered a grouchy and rude cashier here but it's not. Many of them lack basic customer service skills and choose to be grouchy and rude twords innocent customers. But, I was able to look past it until today. I love to support small businesses but not if the employees are going to treat people like that. I'm sad because there are some things I enjoy buying there, but I'll go without from now on. I have been shopping at Gnazzo's for over 40 years and would not go anywhere else. The meat and deli is superior compared to the bigger grocery stores. When ordering something special they go the extra mile to make sure you are happy. tonite 1/2/2023 I went shopping at gnazzos supermarket about 550 pm by the time I got to the deli it was 6 pm when I informed the deli was closed i did have a couple comments of complaint when I was talked to very nasty by 1 young man who proceeded to ask me if I wanted to see his schedule then the young lady who was working told me they have sliced cold cuts in a basket only problem they were sliced on 12/31 two days before I will not be shopping there anymore take my business where there are friendl employees and I can by fresh food read more

Usually go to the "bigger" stores, but I have to tell ya bigger is not always better when it comes to Gnazzo's!! I went early Saturday morning and found the store fully stocked, clean, and well merchandised. And above all the staff was very friendly! Prices right in line with what they are elsewhere. Small, convenient, friendly staff that's always helpful. What makes this place rock is the meat and deli/bakery departments. Exceptional cuts of pork and beef that are frequently on sale with much better quality than bigger grocery stores. They have homemade dinners, sausage breads, fresh pastry and specialty deli items that are hard to beat. Overall prices are good, ample parking, right off route 10 in Plainville. read more

I've gone to Gnazzos for over 25 years, loved their meats. Only shop items that are on sale. Shopping experience is okay until you go to check out. They don't have an employee that is dedicated 100% to the service desk so a lot of times you have to wait for a cashier to finishing ringing up a customer before wait on customers getting lottery tickets. I was the only customer at the register during this visit and after loading the 6 items I had, the cashier walked away to help a customer that came up and needed assistance in produce. When the cashier came back, she apologized. Store personnel are friendly, prices a okay when on sale, but better management is needed. read more

Do not waste your money if you need gluten free lunch meat. They slice it in the same machine as every other meat without cleaning it. Spoke with the shift manager that had no clue how to handle gluten free products. And had no clue when Keith would be in!?!? Wont chance my health with them again!! read more

I had the pleasure of working with Sue from Gnazzo's for our catering needs for our wedding reception. I was hesitant at first using a "grocery" store for our wedding food. But it turned out to be the best decision we could have went with! Sue and the whole crew from Gnazzo's not only provided us with a fantastic menu for our guests but also gave us BEYOND superior serving and clean up service! They served our buffet menu to the guests, ( but made sure that my husband and I both had our plates made AND served to our tables!) filled water pitchers on each table throughout the whole event; cleaned up from dinner to prepare for dessert; served and cut our wedding cake AND saved the top layer of the wedding cake for us! They also served ice cream along with other dessert options with their awesome coffee service that they offer. The whole experience could not have been any better! Thank you Gnazzo's for making that aspect of our wedding day stress free! I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for catering service to GO WITH GNAZZO'S! You won't regret it! read more

My family has patronized Gnazzo's for years for their awesome meats and friendly service. They also carry products not found anywhere at your local Stop and Shop. The store is small and this does seem to attract the older crowd, but it makes the legendary customer service they provide possible. Their catering menu is massive, and most of their catering food and items in the service deli are freshly made daily by a hilarious Italian lady named Rocky. Their baked goods are also made fresh daily as well, and their homemade cider donuts are to die for. (Especially if you can get them fresh from the fryer!) The owner Keith doesn't just sit in an office either, you see him at a cash register, stocking shelves, and slicing deli meat for customers. He will even carry a particular product for a customer by request. I am even told that his employees are treated very well with above market wages, store discounts, and time and a half pay on Sundays. I will never shop at a big corporate store again. read more
