I picked a protein powder and was immediately told by 2 staff members that it was the worst quality protein ever. I did my research online so I knew that I was buying one of the best protein powders. Instead, the staff recommended that I get the GNC brand. It almost seemed like they were all trained to tell you that every brand was bad, except for the GNC brand. Some of the items don't have price tags on them so I brought a bunch of stuff with no price tags and made them tell me the price of each one, so that I could make my selection. Went to return an item that I picked up at a different GNC location. Receipt states that it can be returned at any location. They refused to process my return saying that it's not possible to return items from another location. The must be returned to the location of purchase. Went out of my way to the original location to return and they said that was a blatant lie. read more

I was getting pretty hot walking around downtown Boston this afternoon so I stopped in here for some bottled water. The item that I wanted was right at the front of the store so that made things very easy and quick for me. The store seemed well organized and the products were attractively displayed. The service was friendly and efficient. Will be back. read more

Well if u want to get ripped off I suggest going here. I do go here frequently because my diet consist mostly of nutrient bars. its either here or the vitamin shoppe. \ Today I witnessed the salesmen pocket money from a sale. The customer in-font me said excuse me this is not the correct change. I gave you a $100 dollar bill. after some discuses he take ten dollars from his pocket and hands it to him. The customer then says this is still not enough. The salesmen then hands him more money. They agree it is the correct change and he leaves. I cannot believe he would try to rip him off just because he was a tourist. This is inexcusable. I have also complained to the corporate office but the salesmen did not have a name tag on. Well-Organized store, with a variety of items and brands. I recommend doing your research about what your fitness goals are, and what supplements can help you get there before going into the store. The staff is friendly, but they'll try to sell you extra things if you're not careful or uninformed. However, as a fitness enthusiast, this is my go to spot for all my supplements! read more

I frequent all the GNC stores in Boston and purchase a lot online. Usually I get good customer service by always being asked if I need help upon entering the store. Recently, the service has gone downhill by not being asked if I need help, being ignored in the store and the stores being out of stock of certain items that I seem to always need (popular items like vitamins, probiotics or L-Carnitine). Specifically during my last visit, I had to interrupt an employee on his phone to ask if they had more of what I was looking for. He had to find 'the manager' because he didn't know if they would have it in the back. The manager came out and looked for the item on the wrong section/shelf, I had to show him where it should be, where the shelf was empty, out of stock. His response to me was that, oh yeah, we're out, sorry. And he turned and walked away. I like GNC stores but I don't think the customer service reaches my expectations at this location. read more

Been to this location a few times, usually fine. Today I was literally berated the entire time by the two staff members, telling me I'm buying the wrong product and that it will do absolutely nothing for my workout regime. Firstly, I politely and promptly stated I had no questions when I entered the store. Secondly, I was recommended this product previously by an actually helpful staff member at GNC. I'm astounded how rapidly the situation got hostile to the point where I just stopped answering questions. Ten minutes and I'm done with this place! Congratulations. read more

Pretty gross while sitting across the street enjoying dinner, looking out, seeing the one and only worker with no customers in the store, sneeze right into his hand several times then went to touch all the bottles! Bye bye Gnc. I decided to give this store second chance just because someone from corporate called to apologize after a sales person was gossiping about my a.. while i was shopping.I went there today to buy my proteins and supplements just because i did not have time to do it online. A staff member in the store was so Rude, not helpful and had an attitude.He was on his phone did not answer us when me and another female client walked in and said hello. I asked for a certain item and he said with an attitude what you see is what we have. in a temper of someone that is annoyed by my question.We did not get any help and both the other client and i left. When we got out both me and the other client were in so much denial of what just happened that we shared a laugh about it. the other client was from another country and she was probably going to spend $500 and i was going to spend$ 100, that's $600 GNC lost because of staff attitude. I hope corporate cares enough to read this yelp reviews and be proactive about client complaints. i did give you guys a second chance but client experience does not match you pricey products. No reason for me to shop there and give you my regular biz. your store is not female friendly or customer driven and there are plenty of other places that value their clients and hire appropriate staff to assist. never ever shopping there again read more

I work across the street from this store and am a frequent shopper. I will be making sure I purchase from Amazon now instead. The past four times I've tried to go there before work (rush hour downtown should be one of their busiest hours) it has either not been opened yet at 8:15 (store opens at 8) or there is a sign on the door saying be back at 8:50 or 9. You should probably invest in employees who know how to arrive to work on time and don't leave as soon as they get there. No other business downtown has a "be back soon" sign on their doors... read more

This is by far the best GNC location I have been to and will definitely be my favorite store and go-to shop. Phil, Will and Kaytie are awesome- great recommendations on products. Had a return and previous issue with using a coupon at another store. They fixed the problem straight away, ordered out of stock products and expedited them to me- all around great experience! read more
