Came into GNC to pick up some vitamins that I was out of. Located in a big shopping center in Rancho Cordova on Olsen Drive. They are currently moving to the opposite side of the center, the shop they are suppose to be in is currently under renovation. So, they are on the side of the building in a smaller shop temporary and will relocate to the new store once it's ready. I was greeted by young gentleman whose name I forgot but he was very kind and was all smiles from the moment I walked in. And that goes a long way for me because a lot of people just tend to give that fake greet n smile and could honestly not even give two sh**s about you after. But he was very genuine with his customer service skills. I'm pretty simple when I come into GNC and I only come in for one thing only. I have been coming into GNC for 8 years now. I have been taking GNC's Women's hair nails and skin vitamins. It was worked wonders for me throughout the years. I have recommended it to countless amounts of people throughout the years! I went in the store today wanted to buy a shaker bottle cheapest one on the shelf was listed as 1299 on the shelf ask the cashier if there was any less expensive ones he goes all the ones to say GNC are 12.99 I said OK but are there any less expensive ones he wouldn't answer I walked back over the shelf and I said it says 12.99not 14.99 he says well we haven't change the label yet on the shelf but it's 14.99 however and I bought it at Marshall's for 5.99 same thing losers! read more

Came in knowing what I wanted mostly, and got my remaining questions answered quickly and by a nice gentleman. Then, when being rung up at the counter, a different employee started questioning everything I was buying, and started criticizing my purchase. He kept trying to find reason after reason for why I shouldn't by that one brand over another when I just had his coworker help out. I've only been to this location twice. The two times I've been to this location has been pleasant. Observing, as I knew what I needed to get, the customers, it seems that people would come in when asking a lot of questions regarding what products are best and what not. The only downfall of this place is that the product I need for my boss, they never have in stock. They know exactly what product I'm seeking, however, they told me that they haven't seen that item restocked in their store in a very long time and are not sure when they would get it in stock. Went in to just pick up a few snacks and a couple blender bottles, I also was looking at other items but I wasn't too sure on what I wanted. When I got to the counter I asked Brandon some questions, and he had a ton of insight and was very helpful without pushing products onto me. I had a hideous experience here. The staff is very commission oriented, therefore they kept saying that their products were better than the other products they sold. The guy repeated himself at least 10 times. On top of that, the selection offered is expensive. I can find everything cheaper at vitamin shoppe. I would recommend the same for others. read more

Went into the shop today 29 June at around 3pm to get a bar if Grandpa's Pine Tar or Charcoal Soap. The only guy that was in there was pushy and disrespectful. I had not even gotten to the counter and he kept trying to get my phone number for the rewards club. After telling him mo 3 times I finally told him my number just to shut him up. Every other word out of his mouth was Bro. I'm not his bro or friend I am/was a customer. When talking with a customer the should NEVER be referred to as bro unless they are a personal friend. Yes sir/ No sir and Yes Ma'am/No Ma'am is the proper customer service etiquette. Because of this little twit I will go to a different GNC even though this shop is a mile away. read more

Store business hours says closes at 8:30. Came by this store at 8:20 today and was going to buy $200 worth of products. Lights were on with a worker inside but the door is already locked. Worker didn't even acknowledge me or wanted to look my way. Never coming back to this location. Poor customer service and very poor run store obviously. This is the best GNC location! The staff members are friendly and knowledgeable and they take the time to listen to your needs. I've asked many questions about vitamins and other supplements and they are always extremely helpful. And if they don't have an item in stock, they will help me find it or offer something similar. The prices are reasonable - especially if you have a Gold membership card. They also always honor coupons and online discounts. You never have to worry about getting the runaround like you would get at the El Dorado Hills location. That location is the opposite of this one - the worst! I'm grateful I work in Rancho Cordova and I can always count on the Rancho Cordova GNC staff to help me get what I need. read more

So I went into the store looking for a product my brother in law buys at this location. Sales associate tells me they do not carry the item at all (even though I know he buys it at that store). I step outside, search it on the website, come back on, find item (now that I have the picture of it to compare), and grab two packages. As I come up to the counter the associate starts backpedaling like he's going to help me. I interrupted to ask him to just ring me up. Maybe stop smoking pot and start paying attention. They probably lose sales because of it. For my own stuff I won't buy it here and deal with that poor level of service. I'll go elsewhere. read more

I went in looking for just a protein powder and was unsure between a few options. I was helped by a young female employee who had great advice and helped me find the perfect protein that I will most likely soon be trying out. She was very knowledgable on the products. However while I was in the store a middle age male employee with some tattoos was swearing in earshot of us. I later overheard him make a homophobic remark...while he seemed to be on the clock. This shocked me a bit as I wasn't expecting something so rude and offensive from an employee. Hopefully he won't be in the shop if I ever decide to go back. read more
