This location is in the Carmichael area on Arden Way…read more My husband and I stopped into Whole Foods yesterday to pick up a birthday cake. I have always liked Whole Foods and I always look forward to visiting when I get the chance. The bakery is always fully stocked with cakes, pies, cookies and even gluten free and vegan dessert options! Their hot food section always smells great - I picked up some of their pasta salad during my last visit and it was so good! Their cheese, wine and beer selection is also top tier! My husband always finds the best beers at Whole Foods that he can't find at other places. I love buying meat here too - especially when it comes already seasoned. They also sell my favorite coffee which is the Nola from Blue Bottle - I can't find Nola anywhere else usually except for Whole Foods! I try and stock up whenever I'm there! The aisles and shelves are always well stocked and organized. Their produce selection is always aesthetically pleasing! Staff is always friendly and helpful!

I use heavy whipping cream in my coffee at home and WF or Trader Joe's are the only stores that carry a version without guar gum in it. Just plain cream. Usually go through self check, but whenever we go through the cashier line, it is pretty quick and staff are friendly. The store is always clean and generally well stocked. There are tables outside for dining.

I usually shop at the power inn/fruitridge store because the service and food is always great. You can read previous reviews I have wrote for that location. I have only shopped at this location once before for curbside pickup. A older Hispanic lady came right out and was very helpful and nice. Today a young Hispanic male helped with our check out process and took longer than expected. The machine was not charged from the previous night and we had to wait for it to charge so we could check out. I also purchased other items that were not included with my order and when it was time to check out he said, "Are you paying with EBT?" Umm why would you assume I'm paying with EBT? Because I'm black? I said no debit. His whole demeanor was just nasty, unfriendly and unwelcoming. Every wic store in the city walks customers to their cars and loads the groceries and takes the cart back inside. This guy just stood there and stared, walked off after ringing us up and I loaded my own groceries and brought the damn basket back. Lazy! Plain and simple. It was 9 am. No one was in the store except another employee restocking. Everywhere my daughter and I walked he watched us like a hawk! He even moved the basket from by the door even though I had already purchased those items. It's the damn WIC store sir WTH! Sadly this employee was not only lazy but prejudice as well. Once I got back home(over 1 hour round trip) I unpacked my kids food and realized the entire bag of mandarins were rotten. I also did not receive 2 boxes of cereal that I ordered. I only got 1. I read through google reviews and unfortunately this location is known for giving families rotten and molded food, and only providing friendly and welcoming customer service to the Hispanic community. So I will continue to drive out of my way to the power inn/fruitridge location were the service and food is high quality for everybody and not just Hispanic people. After all it is WIC the whole point is to get healthy, FRESH fruits and vegetables. If I have to throw the produce away then obviously it's not FRESH or HEALTHY. I do not recommend this location based on the service and produce I received today.
