It's nice to have a large market in the Rancho area that is bigger than the little cramped stores, yet smaller than the enormous one that's popular and impossible to dash into for just a few items. Rancho has been needing someplace like that for a long time. This iteration of the SF Market chain is in a spiffy new shopping center. It's a nice change to have an attractive new market to go to. I I occasionally venture out to Rancho Cordova to shop at this SF supermarket. SF supermarket is an Asian based grocery store. It still has the brand new look and feel for having opened in November 2024. There are things that I absolutely appreciate about this supermarket. The good things: +Clean, modern interior. +The selection of groceries includes some Korean and Indian staples. +They also have a ton load of a variety of rice and produce. +They have an aisle full of plates, bowls, and cooking implements with competitive prices. +The cashiers now assist folks to bag the groceries; this helps the lines move quicker and eliminates that awkward stand and stare action. +The fishmonger does free cleaning and fish frying. Yay... less work for me. +The supermarket is within a shopping plaza with food options (boba tea shop, fast food, sit down restaurants), jewelry shop, Korean beauty product shop, hair salon, and more. Other things ... - Some fish on ice have cloudy discolored eyes. Since the fish is behind the glass, you can ask the staff to show you the other fish in the pile. You are looking for clear eyes. So for folks that like to actually feel or pickup the fish (like myself), you have to verbally communicate with the fishmonger to select the one you want. The staff all speak English. [The person who helped me voluntarily showed me the other fish, he was a man of few words and expressionless. He was helpful, polite, and courteous. Not mean but having a stoically cool demeanor. Please don't take his lack of Susie Sunshineness as a personal attack]. - Majority of the produce are sold pre bagged/shrink wrapped packaged by the grocer. No breaking up the bags into a smaller quantity. Plus I tend to have to cook the produce within a few days before they turn south on me. -There is no hot food or hot meat/poultry counter which is usually customary in Asian supermarkets. read more

We went thinking it was going to be a typical grocery store but it was so much more. It was like a mini in door plaza. They have a food court, other little shops and a really big grocery variety. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there's an SF Supermarket right here in Rancho! After getting off work, I headed straight over because I had no idea we had one in town (I don't live in Rancho) --and my Asian self was honestly excited to have another Asian grocery option besides KP Supermarket. I came specifically for LJ's jerky, a local small-business brand that I can always count on finding at SF. I was craving it badly, so I showed up right when they opened. There were already customers waiting at the door, and once inside, I realized this place is more like a mini-mall. There's a food court area, though none of the restaurants were open yet since I arrived promptly at 8 a.m. The store itself was very clean and organized, and the employees seemed friendly. It was easy to find what I came for, and of course, I browsed around and got tempted by other staples. What really made my morning was discovering that this location sells duck balut--and a ton of it--for around two-ish dollars per egg. Sometimes it's hard for me to find duck balut nearby, so that was a huge win. I also spotted decent prices on Indomie and longganisa... so naturally, those ended up coming home with me too. I wasn't planning to do full grocery shopping, but the selection made it too easy to purchase more than I could carry. I should have grabbed a cart lol. I also felt safer here compared to the South Sacramento location, especially since there was recently a robbery incident there involving a customer loading groceries. This Rancho location gave off a more comfortable vibe overall. Aside from the supermarket itself, the strip has other Asian restaurants and even a Home Depot nearby, so you've got options if you don't arrive at 8 a.m. like I did. I will say that having a dedicated Asian supermarket is a blessing for those (including myself) that don't have to drive all the way to South Sacramento to get my specialty Asian foods. This takes me on a journey to the city of Rancho Cordova where I finally got the chance to check out "SF Supermarket". Located on busy Sunrise Blvd and adjacent to Trade Center Dr., this supermarket proudly opened its doors in November 2024 with great fanfare. It is also conveniently located with generous parking while neighboring a Home Depot store. I came here for the first time during the afternoon of Friday 9/5/2025 at around 2:45pm. The building itself is beautifully designed with several neighboring family-owned businesses that include a pharmacy/medical office, a boba tea spot, a Pho restaurant, and much more. Once entering the building itself, you will notice a food court to the left; much like a mini shopping mall type setup. This includes several Asian dining options which is much how many SF Supermarkets are designed. As of late-2025, there are roughly 15 locations with the majority in California but also in Nevada, Oregon, and Texas. Upon entry to the market itself, the entire store is very clean, sterile, and spacious. Here, you will find a ton of options that offer foods that focus from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Everything from sauces, spices, pre-packaged foods, baked goods, desserts, and much more. And much like a traditional grocery store that carries your typical produce, they also carry a generous amount of dairy, eggs, and frozen options. Finally they offer a huge variety of meats, poultry, and their main specialty, seafood. During my visit, I scored a great deal on fresh shrimp, salmon, mackarel, and scallops. All in all, during my visit to the Rancho Cordova "SF Supermarket" was an above average experience. The employees were friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable while the vast amount of produce was well-stocked and fresh. And finally, all of the meats and seafood looked fresh and didn't have that "fishy" smell. I also wanted to add that the checkout lines moved quickly but I had to bag my own groceries (much like Winco). One very interesting caveat is that this is a predominantly commercial and rather industrial area. With that said and done, I am giving this place an above average four-star rating. read more

Pay attention to what you are being charged at both the meats department and the checkout. I was charged more than the regular price for short ribs that were on sale. The difference in price was $23. Then during the same shopping trip, my card was charged $10 more than the total. After a pause to confirm in my head the difference, I asked the cashier about it and he immediately pulled out two $5 bills that were in his hands and said "sorry". Had he made an effort to tell me right away about the "mistake" before I had to ask, I would not be wondering where the two bills would have ended up.... This market is clean, bright and has a very extensive inventory of asian and international items ranging from produce, meats, seafood, dry goods, kitchenware, dry and frozen noodles, etc. The service provided in the different departments is great as well as the checkout counters. I could easily spend an hour just browsing thru all of the aisles, so I usually have to make a list and stick to it. The seafood is live as well as frozen (fish, crab, shrimp, lobster, etc). The produce is fresh and offered at great prices. The meat department has the standard proteins you can find in regular grocery stores. However, I appreciate that they also have other proteins such as organ parts, chicken feet, pig ears, pig feet, tripe, hog maws, smoked turkey necks, etc. You can easily find most all ingredients to try out the asian and international recipes you might see on social media. read more

The old Sam's Club in Rancho sat empty for years, and this place took quite a while to open, but I'm glad it finally did The first time I came in here, I decided to wait to do my review, because not many of the other places were open yet. The supermarket itself is humongous. It's bright and very clean. I actually like it better than KP, because KP to me, seems a bit crowded and cluttered. This place has just about anything Asian you are looking for, they have a good selection of American items, they even have some Mexican items. They have rice, they have pasta, they have sauces, they have a breakfast section, they have snacks, they have a huge Ramen section... they have a good frozen section, they have a huge meat and fish section. They have a decent produce section. They have a decent sized selection of kitchenware. They have a good sized liquor section. Some of the employees speak, limited English, so if you need help in finding something, you may need to find another person. The employees are not rude, they are just very "direct ", and some people perceive that as rudeness. Prices, overall are good. You are going to pay a higher price for some of the imported specialty items, but overall, prices are fair. I like this place, and I will be back. I look forward to seeing the evolution of the space. The food court is finally open with 5 amazing small businesses! I got to try four of them and can't wait to go back for the one I missed. The spots I tried were: That's the Burger, Manna House, Kim's K-Food, and Stick and Roll. The service was great, the ambiance was nice, and the food was delicious! That's the Burger: I had the OG Classic Burger and the Korean Egg Drop Sandwich (with your choice of bacon, sausage, or ham, egg, American cheese, and sweetened condensed milk). Both were fantastic, but the Korean Egg Drop Sandwich was my favorite! Manna House: I tried A3. Dry Tofu Salad, A4. Fresh Cucumber, and M6. Sesame Balls (6 pieces). The sesame balls and fresh cucumber were so tasty, but I wasn't a huge fan of the tofu salad. Still, I'm excited to go back and explore other items on the menu! Kim's K-Food: The Kimchi Kimbap was light, fresh, and delicious--highly recommend it! Stick and Roll: I had the Crispy Tofu, Chicken Roti Croissant, and Vietnamese Coffee. It is pretty exciting that another asian grocery chain has opened its doors in the citrus heights, rancho, and carmichael area. It means fresher fish and veggies options. This market looks ambitious with many leases that are open for small businesses, it promises to be a one stop shop for quick bites before or after shopping. It does have more unique seafood and veggies options. Veggies are in bags rather than styrofoam containers which is better! Lots of options for hotpot, many different fish balls. They sell frog, freshly cut fish, and all different cuts of meat. They did not have regular white bread. They had some dinner rolls. I am excited to see how this place grows. I hope they eventually have a lunar new years good stores, a stationary store, and all kinds of fun things. This is the cleanest, most organized SF supermarket I've ever been to. The prices are great, the produce are fresh, the meats are packaged so pristine, neat, and sanitary, they almost always have everything I'm looking for, and they are always fully stocked on everything. The staff here make it very easy to find what you're looking for as they keep the aisles and shelves immaculately in order. I love shopping here early in the morning when it is so mellow with just a few early bird shoppers such as myself. I'm in and out within minutes. It's almost like a mini mall inside before you get into the store because there are various other businesses, as well as a full food court. There's a lot to love about this place but I personally won't be back for a couple of reasons. First let me say that the staff was so great. This includes the cashiers, the people working one of the cleanest and freshest seafood counters I've seen in Sacramento and the folks at the food court. I would definite come back to the food court as it was spotless and had a delicious variety of food. My takeout orders were great. I also loved the overall decor. The downside to this spot though are that it seems like some of their frozen items are old/stale. I bought a few different dumplings and dim sum type things and had to trash 2 for tasting off. Most importantly though, I can't get over the produce market. The best think about a produce market to me is finding gems like I grew up with in Hawaii and picking them out myself. Everything here is already packaged in shrink wrap and STYROFOAM! I can't get over the pollution of that. I ended up buying some butternut squash to make for Thanksgiving but ended up having to trash that too because when I cut into it, it was too old and smelled off. I was so happy when SF was in the works in Rancho. I don't have to drive to 65th for my groceries anymore. I love that is not too crowded here even during the weekends compared to the 64th. A lot of eateries are starting to open up which is good and will attract more traffic. I love that this SF has more than one entry. To be honest, some of their meat and vegetables are not as fresh, but its ok if you will be using them in the next few days. Overall, great variety and have everything I need for a one stop shop. Big beautiful store! Very neat, spacious, organized. Produce looks really fresh, I bought some really really good water spinach (râu muôn) for a reasonable price. My mom and I visited here and had lunch at the food court as well as went down every aisle. It was our first time here and it was pretty impressive. Until we got to the fish tanks. A lot of the fish didn't look well and the smell was not pleasant. Also when we got home we noticed two of our items had expired. The store is very large and has a ton of cool stuff. I love being able to find things that I would never find in a regular super market. The tins of cookies and crackers got me lol. They had a huge selection of Vegetables and meats. We will definitely be back, but make sure to check your dates! Staff was super friendly and other than the fish it was clean and well stocked. The fact that there's another Asian grocery store in the Sacramento area is great! I consider this an Asian plaza since there are multiple restaurants coming soon with a food court inside as well. The aisles were fully stocked and very clean. Only downside, would be that our cashier seemed like she was having a bad day because she not only threw our grocery bags at us but she also just seemed like she didn't want to be there. There is a lot of potential here at SF Supermarket. I do appreciate the location, as I live in Folsom and driving to SF Supermarket in Rancho Cordova is a lot easier than driving to SF Supermarket in South Sacramento. We are lucky to have a 99 Ranch in Folsom, but the size of this SF Supermarket is HUGE compared to 99 Ranch in Folsom. The parking lot is HUGE, you can find a space regardless of what time you arrive. There are little small shops before you actually get into the big supermarket. You can find Bober Tea (donuts and boba), medical clinics, gifts shops and more. There is a lot of potential and I can see this as a bustling little center as more businesses get established. The food court seemed busy when we got there. A Korean restaurant, a Vietnamese food spot, Stick and Roll, Manna House and I believe a Burger spot. My family and I mostly shopped for food / groceries. I got Japanese sweet potatoes, veggies, spices, desserts, and drinks. The entire supermarket is very CLEAN and NEW! There were good amount of cashiers open and I found everything that I wanted. Whatever essential you need from whatever Asian country, you will likely find! I walk in and it looks like other businesses with be opening shop inside the market. Here is already a Pharmacy and aDr's Office will be opening up soon. They are working on the food court area so that isn't opened yet, but can't wait it look like it will be many food options. Now to the market itself. It is super clean and well organized and stocked. The staff okay as far as being helpful goes. It's a little pricey but great options. I still feel that KP stands out more in terms of better selections. My second visit to SF Supermarket was much improved by the now-open food court! The store is very nice and clean. The lighting is good and the aisles are fairly wide as well. They have a massive selection of Asian foods from many countries, as well as some American and Mexican food items. The food court holds some very interesting looking food offerings. I tried the Vietnamese place and had a delicious and decently sized BBQ pork banh mi for a reasonable $6.95. Totally worth it! I will be returning to try the Korean and Chinese offerings as well. Ooh this has been a long time coming. Finally , we have another supermarket that caters to the asian community. I was at the grand opening this morning, and it did not disappoint. Tons of people, at least 300... In line for the debut. Today they gave away 10 pound bags rice. There was discounts on vegetables. I bought some bok choy, fish sauce, dome chinese strawberry cookies & 59cents for 1 pound of onions. That's a pretty good deal. The place is pretty epic. I can't wait for the other small individual stores to open as well. read more

Grand openings are so much fun! It's when the businesses are at its best because everything is important to them lol. Walking inside the grocery store made me feel like I was in a foreign country. It's not meant to be a bad statement because it was something I was expecting. I loved the vibes, loved the presentation of the foods, and the wide variety of foods you can buy. My wife and I were just going to check it out but $30 later... you know how it goes lol. The cashiers were nice and quick. Their conveyor belt is very different from what I've seen. It's like a rotating disk that does the same thing as a conveyor belt, but I believe they have these to save space. All companies should do this if they had the chance! The whole building is still not finished, so I'll be back a few times to buy more groceries and hope to see the other shops open too. As for now...
