Had a few questions and they said the other person would be back out in a minute or two. 10 minutes later I said I'd just come back another time. Place is also a total mess. OK - I get that GNC employees are salesmen. But wow - these guys were probably the rudest, most inconsiderate employees I've ever encountered at any store. I was with my 60 year old father, who is on a lot of medication but currently takes C4 Sport as it doesn't make him jittery and he still feels the benefits. I ask if they carry it and the man behind the counter wearing a backwards hat goes, "No we don't carry that Costco cheap stuff... they cut that with something. Is it a price thing? " I was a little stunned by this comment. I just said No, it was because the caffeine is lower and he's on a lot of meds. My dad, his caregiver and I are both comfortable with him being on lowest caffeine possible (he drinks coffee too! And diet coke on occasion - we don't need him shooting out the sky after having a knee replacement, back surgery and liver transplant in the PAST DECADE). He then offers to look up caffeine difference between regular C4 and sport - 15 mg. Okay dude, you proved your point in a confrontational way but I'm not changing my mind. My dad just kind of leaned over and was like I'm fine with what I'm on now. Backwards hat guy goes, "I mean like 15 mg isn't gonna make a difference... But do what you want to do. Is it a price thing?" 1) No dude. It's not a price thing but thank you for asking such a rude, weird question to a member customer. 2) Thanks for making us feel pressured to buy products we didn't really want or were looking for just because you're out of stock of whatever we wanted.You could just say, "hey we have this alternative - you might like it!" We went directly to Albertsons and found BOTH products of what we wanted (I was browsing for spirulina which they didn't carry) for SALE. I was not impressed by this gnc at all. The manager was rude and confrontational. I asked if they had muscle milk and he told me, "you know that's a very low tier brand, right?" I told him that everyone has their own opinion about protein and it's what I prefer. He continues to be rude and tells me that I can go buy it at Albertsons. What possesses someone who works in customer service to talk like that. I brush it off because I know how passionate people feel about fitness and ask him for his suggestion for my fiancé and he asks my fiancé from across the room how much she weighs. That just blows my mind that anyone would ask a woman from across the room their weight. That, obviously was strike number two. I pick out another protein powder and when we cash out, we have a minor conversation about where I am from, how he likes being an owner of a franchise, etc. That conversation went fine until his employee asks why I dislike Anaheim, to which I reply, "it's just ghetto" and his employee throws his hands in the air, laughs and walked away. I was just thrown away by their lack of customer service. It was without a doubt one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The only redeeming factor was that the owner at least knew what he was talking about and answered a couple questions about my post leg day soreness. This place is a joke with not only product but customer service. Product is over priced and that's probably due to it being a commission based shop. Always told to check back or just fed a bunch of bs about certain products. I rather be told you don't know rather than tell me a bunch of information that is wrong. I would like to give 5 stars to the GNC at 2050 E. Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, CA. 92806. The lady whose store it is is named Qamar. She was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and listened while I vented about people who don't take care of their health but yet complain that they are sick. Specifically, I was looking for collagen and she gave her recommendation for a product and then touched the skin on my arm and told me she could tell by the look of it that I was in NEED of collagen. I only thought I WANTED it before I arrived, but after purchasing it, I was convinced I DID need it. She also has a great memory because she actually remembered me from the last time I was there.
