I think I need to update my review from 14 years ago!!!!…read more I stand by my original post: How wonderful to have a real grocery store that specializes in local and organic products. Much of the produce is locally grown, or locally adjacent (AKA California) OK, Bananas do not grow in the Great Basin. The origin of the produce is identified. They work with local farmers, bakeries, and other local businesses for the food and non-food items. They no longer have the upstairs restaurant but they do have a kitchen and make ready to go items. I love picking up a fresh salad (some with meat some purely vegan/vegetarian) , a yummy very generously filled wrap, house made cookies and other delectable treats. They have a large selection of locally produced meats. Lots of organic canned goods, dairy and non-dairy items . . . the list goes on. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Memberships are available (20$/year) with a once a month 10% off of your total purchase. You do NOT need a membership to shop here. It's small and a bit cramped but there is a lot of good stuff there. It's clean and friendly and completely locally owned.

Sprouts came to the rescue for dinner with their build a meals and their bowls. With this beautiful…read moreweather we've been having I have had no desire to slave away in the kitchen with meal prep or over a hot stove. I have enjoyed being present with my kids and my family since I work longer days than usual. This downtime has been exactly what I needed. It's great to know we have healthy options to have at home for a quick healthy meal. Lean proteins to have a la carte or for meal building. I brought home a few steak bowls and Mediterranean chicken bowls. I did purchase a few extra a la carte proteins: grassfed beef and chicken. My kids are picky, but they devoured the chicken breast and grassfed beef. Everything was cooked perfectly! The meat was juicy and tender. I have never had a bad experience here and will pop in for a sandwich or a sushi roll if I'm shopping in the center or post workout before shopping at Costco. Their food is phenomenal all the way around. I'll have to try their ahi bowl next time I'm in. Thanks Sprouts for saving dinner for us the other night. The chimichurri beef bowl and Mediterranean bowls were amazing and exploding with flavor! These bowls will be on rotation to break up the monotony of my plain chicken and rice.

The Northern Nevada stores are a great size to shop with knowledgeable personnel to help. I have become spoiled with the holiday meals that are impressive and reasonable. The Sparks store is well stocked and is maintained to a high standard. Keep up the great work. Loss of a star rating because the App can be tricky with "sale" prices that cause confusion when you go to the store and try to buy the items instead of having it as a will call pick up order. The shelf pricing doesn't reflect the online price. Not this stores fault but a marketing racket that is not driven by actual shoppers or the customer experience.

I love just wandering the store, seeking out new products and items. There is everything from fresh to frozen, canned, homeopathic medicine, soaps, and lotions. Most stores I enter have very few items I can eat. But here there are a lot of snacks, sweet items, drinks, and even packaged items such as chips. I adore that they carry a variety of flours, nut flours, gluten-free, cassava, tapioca, as well as others. The store always smells clean. In the wintertime, there is a smell of ginger. The employees are always courteous and knowledgeable. The only con is that they do not have a store in Sparks. Best tip: Don't forget to bring your own grocery bags or cooler. I bring a cooler in the summertime. Always pack more bags than you think you will need.
