Went in here to buy my son his first car, had one in mind, with $5,000 down payment, it was…read moreslightly older, and had over 120,000 miles. They told me they would not finance me for it because of the miles and proceeded to show me another car, which was newer than I had wanted to get for a first car, the sales person said it had been serviced that day and had nothing wrong with it, we noticed the passenger door had been damaged after test drive, and had them fix that, so that was resolved, but she assured me nothing was wrong with the car. I had voiced my concerns about having another long loan to pay on because the one I wanted to get was around $7,000 and with my down payment and being able to get financing I would have owed less. This one was $15,000 or more, when it was all said and done I owe $12,200, but since it's newer I went ahead and believed her that it was reliable, working good, and thought since it was a 2018, low miles, it would be a reliable car for my son, and we were able to come to an agreement with payments. Got home a few days later engine light comes on, tire pressure light comes on, power steering light comes on, fan motor is loud, message the sales person, set up a time to come in and have it looked at, they said they would work with me and help pay half and I pay half, I had explained, I work paycheck to paycheck. They charge me over $300 to look at the car, then gave me an estimate of over $5000 of things that needed fixed, including the thermostat, intake manifold, break pads, suspension, alignment, new battery, etc...I was so aggravated, I feel like I was taken advantage of, they just want to make money, they're just vulchers, they don't care about their customers, only about what money goes in their pockets. While we were waiting there one day when they had to fix the messed up door, another customer was talking about how he purchased a car from there and has been back 4 times, snd and he's had nothing but problems. I will never purchase from them, or take my vehicle there to be fixed, I do not trust a thing they say, after taking the estimate from Dorsett to mechanics around here, the manager had to go show all of his other guys and they laughed at how ridiculous it was that they were charging, and couldn't believe it. Don't buy from them, unless you want to just throw your money away..

I highly recommend the Dorsett car buying experience. They might be firm on their used vehicle…read moreprice but they will provide value by taking care of you. My previous car purchase was online at one of those big internet sites and they sold me a vehicle with so many issues so I was really scarred. Sometimes even at a local dealer, they just shove you out the door, pin a 20 to your collar and wish you the best of luck, with pre-owned sales, but we did not experience that. We also got some nice perks like oil changes, warranty, etc. that you don't always find with a used vehicle. It was late on a Saturday when we purchased and they said they had not had a chance to detail the car (even though it was really clean). They insisted that they owed us a full detail and said we could bring it back. Cam even found a tiny chip on the windshield when taking off a sticker and they took care of that too. We had one issue a couple of weeks after purchase with a bad brake sensor and they took COMPLETE responsibility, fixed it and did not charge me a dime. Cam is friendly and easy to work with and Nicole in service is awesome!
