We have taken the best care of it wanting it to last many years. In 2022 the paint started peeling off overnight in sheets on the top of the car. We took it to Toyota who told us they would fix it. They had the car 3-4 days and only repainted the very top of the car where the sunroof was. Last year the hood started peeling in the same way. I took the car to Scott's custom colors and he offered to paint it for $500. So I did the hood out of my own pocket. Now the back passenger door is peeling and I'm being quoted $2500.00 by several places to get this piece fixed. Toyota tells me the time limit for fixing this for them is up to this was a problem with the paint color blizzard pearl. It doesn't stick properly to the car. They have known about this issue for years. Many of their cars made before 2018 had this issue. Why didn't they paint the whole car when the issue began and I took it to them the first time or at the very least help me fix it now? I was told it would cost $10,000 to repaint my whole car. My car is basically ruined. Toyota has brushed me off. When I took the car in for them to take pictures, they told me they would get back to me within 2 weeks. They were going to check into fixing it. They never called and Fred the general manager of service never sent the pictures in. They arent interested in helping. We have bought 4 cars from Toyota of terre haute. This is the way they treat loyal customers. I like Toyotas but won't buy from this dealership again.

We also got some nice perks like oil changes, warranty, etc. that you don't always find with a used vehicle. It was late on a Saturday when we purchased and they said they had not had a chance to detail the car (even though it was really clean). They insisted that they owed us a full detail and said we could bring it back. Cam even found a tiny chip on the windshield when taking off a sticker and they took care of that too. We had one issue a couple of weeks after purchase with a bad brake sensor and they took COMPLETE responsibility, fixed it and did not charge me a dime. That's a pretty big issue! We will NEVER buy from this place again! They offered to cover half. But it should have been dealt with before it was put on the lot for sale. Bad business owner and service center! Especially considering they knew it was for a 16 year old as they took a picture of him standing with it. We only took it in good faith under the impression they would fix it if it got worse within the 30 days. Clearly, they can't stand by their word. Even the sales rep backed us up. She was amazing. None of this review is towards her. Just the service department and owner for allowing this vehicle to be placed on the lot for sale with this massive issue! Good thing my husband knows vehicles enough to know exactly what was wrong within 1 minute of driving it, and it took your service crew 4 hours. The fact that it is a foreign car dealer make the rates even higher. I was visiting from out of town while on a job interview and I did damage to the suspension on my mitsubishi product and Dorsett worked with me to get it fixed so I didn't miss my next appointment. I thought the prices were reasonable for that service. Since then I have also ordered parts from Dorsett's and had no problems at all with them. The Environmental fee may seem high but it depends what it was for. If you take certain parts to the auto parts store they charge you a core charge which is basically the same thing or a fee to dispose of batteries and tires.

Got the HVAC issue repaired at a reputable local mechanic for $232. Oil pan gasket did not need replace nor a differential leak. Oh you tech that changed the oil 62610 didn't tighten properly and that leaked after service. I will never buy a vehicle from you due to your shady shop practices. Shame on your staff.

Onstar explained what it could be from this code and recommended service at the dealer York. When I contacted Yorks service Dept I was told they would have to run a diagnostic test on my vehicle for a $140.00 even though I had the code from onstar! Ridiculous if they don't know this code then look it up! I pay for onstar just for this purpose. I've been a loyal customer for several years now. The first time I've had service with this new service manager I had to replace a fuel pump after contacting onstar. I was charged a diagnostic fee then even though onstar gave me the code. I also found out from the service manager that if I used flex fuel in my Impala than it ate the rubber seals in the pump as they don't make a seal that is resistant to flex fuel. Yet my Impala is a flex fuel vehicle and I should have not had to pay to get it fixed Chevrolet should have fixed it for free as it is not truly a flex fuel vehicle! I don't know how they get away with selling it as one! These two things makes me wonder how many vehicles sold as flex fuel from Chevrolet have fuel pump gaskets that can't handle flex fuel and the owners charged for a new pump that as well can't handle flex fuel! So after these two service episodes one I didn't go to. I will not pay for a diagnostic test when it's not needed! I will find another repair shop, more over another dealership to patronize.

I bought a 2009 Chevy AVALANCHE, good trucks. I know this cause it's the second one I bought from them. The check engine light came on before I even got it home. So I called them and they said bring it back "WE'LL TAKE CARE OF IT " right, for $300 they took care of it. And actually they didn't replace the sensor. Said I re-tested it and it was fine. Said he was glad he checked it again because to replace sensor he'd have to drop the gas tank. So 7 months later other messages started showing up on my dash. They said as long as they weren't blinking it should be fine. So a few months later they started blinking. I took it in for them to check it out. THANK GOD I BOUGHT THE WARRANTY!! They gave me a list $13,000 long that needed fixed. Hell I only paid $12,000 for the truck. The warranty covered $8,300 of the repairs, thank God or I'd would have had a piece of junk to pay for. The warranty didn't cover the brakes and they wanted too much to replace them, so I went elsewhere cause it was only $300 per axle and included rotors, (theirs didn't). The phone call I got made me soooo angry, it's going to be a bit more, he said due to the lines and master cylinder were RUSTED BAD!! I said okay, I needed to be able to stop! So now I have a new front end and new front brakes, rotors, master cylinders and brake lines. Now two weeks ago I find out.....IT'S AGAINST THE LAW TO SELL A VEHICLE WITH A RUSTED FRAME!!!! Why would I have found this out????? Because my strap that holds my gas tank on has rusted and the frame to hook it to is RUSTED!!!! I took it to 3 mechanics that said this truck has sat in water for a long period of time, like a hurricane or tornado or flood. They said it had to be like that when they sold it to me. THAT WAS THE REASON THE GUY AT CHEVROLET DIDN'T WANT TO DROP THE GAS TANK!!! There was nothing to reattach the strap to. As soon as I find a lawyer to take this case I'm going to sue their asses. Caleb would have to call for updates and typically they would say they would return his call and never did. Charged us to tell us about a problem that we already knew about even though it was a miscommunication on their part. Then was promised 20% off "for our troubles" and didn't even get that. When I called back to try and get the problem solved they had conveniently already left for the day. One of the worst experiences with a service garage. This business is an absolute joke.
