I went to the Village Theater in Canton just last night for a community event.  The team at the…read moretheater was professional, helpful, engaged and responsive.  It was a pleasure to work with the great staff and wonderful volunteers.  The parking was ample.  All the signage was readable, easy to understand and to follow. The theater itself and grounds are all kept up well.  The seating is spacious and the individual seats are comfortable.  We were fortunate to have the function catered and were very happy with the accommodations provided by the theater to the company bringing in the food and drink. The lighting and technical staff are all first rate.  We had a changeup at the last minute and their professionalism walked us right through it.  I will be looking forward to attending other events at this venue.  I recommend it highly.

Wow, I really loved this place. I wasn't expecting it to be this nice? It's not a huge theatre, and…read moreaccording to the usher it seats about 400, but the place is really top notch. Walking in, there's a beautiful lobby with 2 murals and its all done up. I walked to the actual theatre area where I was immediately greeted by a very professional usher. She asked if I had been here before, and I told her no. She pleasantly told me all the features of the theatre, where the bathrooms were, the FREE COAT CHECK, snack and wine area, and a whole bunch of other cool stuff about the theatre. This was extremely usful! What a great thing instead of getting "your seated to the left." While I waited in the main part of the theatre lobby, I noticed that they have a rotating monthly art exhibition with artists names and prices. Neat! Also, the bathrooms were clean, with lots of stalls and well stocked with all the essentials. The theatre itself was clean, and the seats were easy to find. While I was waiting for the show to start, I noticed that they have a lot of different shows here at different prices. Some are for adults, some are for kids, and they notate if it's "family friendly" or not. Also, the prices are very reasonable. Even though this place is a bit out of the way for me, I loved coming here! Parking is a bit tight, so I got there early to ensure a good spot close to the doors since it's super cold outside. Also, I would love to come back and see more performances since it does seem to have a nice variety of stuff going on here.

I called Liz at 101 for some advice and she just acted indifferent. I guess once they have your money you are on your own. Avoid them. Go to a local reputable dealer.

Unlike the previous poster I have been delighted in their customer service. They have been nothing…read morebut helpful and have answered an obscene amount of questions in regards to my quest for a professional handmade flute. Their store is top rated on E-Bay plus they are competitively priced. I would buy from them without hesitation as I know the flute I buy will be as advertised! Many sellers online claim their flutes are "mint" or "like new," only to find out the sad truth once its in your hands. If Winds101 advertises the flute as having a new pad job or overhaul; it had one. They do not do cheap re-paddings, and they do not buff flutes on a wheel to make them shine. Your flute will play and its shining luster is from a light hand polishing. They do not sell flutes that have been damaged or marred to the point of needing such drastic measures. The only reason I gave them 4 out of 5 stars is that you better know what model you want if you buy online as they will not accept returns or exchanges. So if you need a 14 day trial or longer before you commit you will have to look elsewhere. This is acceptable for some, but you will pay around $300-2000+ or more depending on the quality of the flute for that luxury.

I wouldn't recommend this place. For one, it is not worth…read morethe money...there isn't a lot of music playing going on with the way they do things. There is a lot of sitting around and waiting your turn unless you are one of the favorites. The kids don't get to play songs they like and are interested in, they are stuck with a specific "theme" each time. They have too many kids in each class (for instance, 8 drummers and each one gets one song) For the concerts, again, unless you are a favorite you won't get much play. (But they will have one kid up there the whole time, doesn't make much sense) I was sent a survey, just like the other reviewer said, & I didn't obviously didn't score it very high. Chris was also very distraught and basically attacked me when I showed up to concert day while I was with my son. Told me I needed to check my email immediately and fix the score I gave. He is very rude. & 100% all about the money, just like another said as well. He doesn't care about the kids (unless you're a house band member) and just isn't a friendly guy. Find a different place!

It has really developed her interest and appreciation of music she wouldn't normally be exposed to! The teachers are very patient and teach at an age appropriate level. She does wish there were more females in the band though! My younger daughter is in the Rookies program, and it's been great to expose her to different instruments and watch her love something about them all! It's expensive, but I believe you get what you pay for!
