White House Wedding Chapel. Where do I begin?! What an amazing experience from the 1st phone call to the day of the wedding! Maria, Alyssa & Courtney were all so amazing in helping to make our small wedding dreams become a beautiful reality last Saturday! Everything was SO beautiful, from the grounds outside, to the grooms room, to the bridal rooms, to the chapel. We didn't need any decorations in the chapel because it was so beautifully & elegantly decorated. The chapel is beautiful for pictures and the staircase makes for a grand entrance! The grounds are a beautiful place if you want stunning pictures! The minister was wonderful! Everyone was so professional & everything went exactly as I had imagined & dreamed that it would! White House wedding chapel did our wedding ceremony and vow renewal. We had a secular ceremony. They did a great job ensuring everything ran punctually and smoothly. The grounds are well kept and great for photos. It was in a central location for our guests. We mostly interacted with Alyssa but all the other staff are phenomenal as well. Like with any wedding, I recommend always keeping lines of communication open and double-checking everything before the big day. read more

Very beautiful chapel inside and out! Finished just to perfection! This chapel used to be house (that I have been in before) and the transformation was amazing! Long white stair way to lead the bride down and huge 20 foot ceilings. The seating area probably holds about 30 guest. To which they provide tall white elegant chairs to sit in. The chapel also provides easy access to wedding photographers, bakeries, wedding planners, etc... I would definitely recommend this place for a 1st, 2nd, or even a 3rd marriage! My husband and I were married here 4 years ago. I wish I had reviewed it sooner. First off, this place is beautiful inside and out. You don't need flowers, chair covers, nothing. There is a room for the bride and her bridesmaid and one for the groom and his groomsmen. They are great places to get ready, relax, and laugh together while waiting for the ceremony. They have beautiful landscape for pictures. This place was was so pretty inside and out. The staff were really nice and helpful! They helped every step of the way and made everything painless. The price was reasonable and when you used other services owned by the company, there were discounts. Amazing venue, beautiful garden outside for pictures or an outdoor wedding. Very friendly service. The minister is very friendly and accommodating. There are separate groom and bride quarters to prepare and gather before ceremonies. Also a full bath with stand up shower and jacuzzi tube. This place puts on a lot of weddings and is always busy but the staff remains friendly and always have a pleasant smile. The sound system could be updated but this is definitely a great venue and very much worth the price. read more

My cousin was married here late summer. She was happy with the wedding but it wasn't without hiccups. My big problem was that my mother was lost getting to the chapel. She made repeated calls to the chapel and no answer. She went into panic mode and finally reached out to me and I had to go out of my way to meet her and follow me there. When we got there we told the staff of our problems and they mentioned that they have had problems with their phones. Not acceptable. While my cousin was happy with how the wedding went I was very displeased with how our issues were handled. Wedding day needs to be perfect and honestly it was far from it for my family. I would like to caution those in the military to be careful about their deposit and return policy. I was going to let this go, but the more I thought about it, the more sketchy I think it is. My daughter is in the Navy, her fiancé is in the Army. They wanted to get leave and come here to MI to be married in Feb '19. Coordinating the leaves proved impossible and then he was stationed in MD. When they tried to get their deposit returned two weeks after they placed (no contract signed yet) they were informed that the full return policy was 24 hours after booking. Several calls not returned, and finally my intervention, received the response that the only thing they do for military is switch the date. Which is fine, IF, the couple can get back to MI to get married in the first place. Then was told if they signed the contract and returned it, they would see what they could do about getting a refund, since they were not coming back to MI at all. I told them not to sign anything because it seems odd to require a signed contract to get a refund of a deposit. Needless to say, we have chalked it up to living and learning to be mindful of blindly putting down deposits and making sure you find out what the refund policy is, since it was NOT told to them when they put the deposit down. Personally, I think it is bad business practice to mess over military families, especially ones who are defending your freedoms. Very disappointed! read more

I had my wedding here last year, and unfortunately there were a few hiccups along the way. When I called to schedule an appointment for tour and booking the lady stated that I was the only bride looking at that particular date and the first appointment she had available was the one I signed up for. I guess someone was able to squeeze into another appointment because by the next day someone had already booked the time that I was interested in. Whatever....no big deal I moved on and was glad my day still had time slots available. When I arrived on my wedding day...the staff was friendly...the place is gorgeous however they were not prepared for the speakers to blow. My bridesmaids had already walked down the aisle and then the music abruptly cut off. I waited a while before they figured out what was going on. My guests were thinking... Is she running? Is she okay? Did she faint? The lady told me the music wasn't working and I said I could not walk out there without any music... she said YES YOU CAN and opened the doors for me to walk out. I was shocked and unprepared. When we called to discuss this matter after the wedding, they simply stated they were not liable and there was nothing they could do. They are gorgeous inside and out. A little on the pricey side & a little strict, but worth every penny and as long as you follow the rules they are awesome. The minister was efficient and spoke very clearly. The girls that helped us leading up to the day and the day of were great, they made sure everyone knew where to be and when to be there. They made sure everything was on time so we had plenty of time to take pictures afterward both inside the chapel and out in the gardens. They made my dream wedding come true. read more

Had our wedding there a week ago. Speakers blew out halfway through the ceremony and did not work for the remainder of the ceremony. They basically forced Mary to walk in front of the crowd with no music as they didn't want it to appear like anything was wrong. However, it was already too late. The only memory that anyone now has of our wedding day is they thought that my wife was running from her own wedding because of the long silence and how long it took her to come out. They apologized and told us to call the next week. They called and left a message while we were on our honeymoon. When I returned their call , they denied anyone calling us. Further, they apologized for the problem but simply offered condolences and did nothing to compensate us for the disaster since 'the contract states they are not liable for anything outside their control.' So why would they tell us to call them and discuss 'what they could do for us' on the wedding day? Very unimpressed and unprofessional. read more
