Plane lands and there is no shuttle and instead reservation handed off to third party taxi cab but they won't actually call that cab for you. Make you stand in cab line and wait almost 40 minutes for the approved brand of cab that accepts the prepaid voucher from Go. Then taxi driver tried to drive away at that point pretending not to have my voucher information. AVOID. read more

Do not use this company. I repeat, do NOT use this company. I've been at Midway for an hour waiting for a 2pm pickup; it's now 2:45 and all I'm getting is attitude from the agent about everybody is booked for 2pm and she has nothing to do with dispatching. In between eyes abs neck roll. I called the 800 number three times, explained my situation, asked for a supervisor and my call was then dropped ALL three times. FIRST and LAST time and I'll be sure to provide feedback to our corporate travel to have them removed as a viable transport option. I wish I had looked at these reviews ahead of time. We were in Saint Charles for a tournament which provided transportation. Unfortunately, we had a really early flight, which could not be changed, and their earliest shuttle from the tournament to the airport would be too late for us. Go Airport Express had the best price, and so we decided the day before leaving to just book it. We didn't look up reviews, and I'm really thankful because maybe we would have missed out on a chance to book them. Our flight was at 8 am, so they were set to pick us up at 5 am since it would be a shared ride. At 5 we sat outside our hotel and our driver was there in just a few minutes. We expected a van, so when a nice SUV pulled up we were surprised. The gentleman confirmed the name on the reservation and we were off. The ride was smooth and the driver was quiet, just playing some nice music for us to enjoy. No one else joined the ride and we hit no traffic so we got to the airport with plenty of time to spare. They were on time, the driver was courteous, drove safely, and the price could not be beaten. No complaints from my husband, nor from me, and we're really happy to have found a reliable company to get us from/to the airport onn our next visit there. read more

Ordered an Uber that arrived in literally 2 minutes, drove us directly to our hotel and charged less than go Airport express did. Go Airport never made the refund or responded. Once again, I tried to make a reservation to go to the airport. In the past it was "too early". So I made a later plane reservation. Today? It's "too early" or coming back it's "too late" and suddenly they will only book rides to and from downtown Chicago between 8 AM and 6 PM. Seriously? That's insane. No explanation; no rhyme, no reason. Just as some days they accept Groupon coupons and some days they lie and say they don't. The drivers are generally nice people. The office staff? Mean, nasty and in a hurry. I will call Uber or Lyft. I hate that this company, which used to be reputable, has become a fly-by-not, maybe we'll take you/maybe we won't, with false information on their website. Caveat Emptor! SCAM SCAM SCAM!! Stay away! Go Airport Express advertised a discount for a show we were attending in Chicago. When we approached the counter, we got different stories about what the discount was vs their UNPUBLISHED regular rates. Nevertheless, it was rush hour and snowing for the first time this season so we didn't want to chance it and booked a return trip for 2 people. We were first told there was a van immediately available but once we paid we were made to wait for half an hour. Once we got in the trip down was fine, there wasn't much traffic and we were the last stop of 6 so it took quite a while. On the receipt it says to book online 24 hrs in advance for the return trip, so the night before I logged in and told them which address to pick us up from as we changed hotels halfway through and took a screen shot of the confirmation including updated address. On the day we were to be picked up, the van never showed, we called and were put on hold for 17 minutes when a call center agent in the Philippines picked up and said that we HAD NOT changed our address. I explained to her that I even took a screen shot on my computer confirming the new hotel and like a robot she refused to acknowledge the truth. While she kept putting me on hold, they kept saying that "customer satisfaction is our #1 priority" but here I was being treated like a liar for a bug in their software. Meanwhile, time was going on and she would not confirm a new pick up for us and I didn't want to be late for our flight. Finally I tool a taxi and remained on the phone arguing with her up until we were 5 minutes away from the airport. She finally agreed to refund us minus a service charge to which I told her to just keep my money and forever lose a client. She's from a call center, she didn't care and although the motto of the company is that the customer is #1, it is not the case. If you need reliable transport to and from and keeping on schedule is a factor, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. As well, the taxi only cost $3 more in the long run for a private car and not a shared van! read more

I am a conference planner. Four or five months ago I contacted this company to arrange attendee shuttle transport for a conference in the Chicago suburbs. The first guy I worked with told me he'd set it up for me, and then I never heard from him again (despite leaving phone messages and sending emails). Finally, one of my calls was answered by another new employee. She got off to a good start, but the same thing happened... she dropped the ball and never did what she said she would do. I kept trying to reach someone who could help me, and finally I was handed over to yet another new employee (we're at more or less the third month at this point). He was OK at answering emails, but he missed two SCHEDULED phone calls. The first time because he didn't know the difference between my time zone (Pacific) and his (Central). This is someone in the AIRPORT business? The second time he didn't show up for our scheduled call he sent an email -- the next day --- saying there was a family emergency. I have sympathy for the emergency, but when something like that happens, the professional thing to do is to ask a colleague to handle the call. Short story -- they went through three employees in four months, and none of them was competent or professional. I found another company to handle our conference transportation. read more

It was a terrible mistake to prebook this for a conference I was attending in Chicago. The person at the kiosk at O'Hare was apparently the manager and was extremely rude. The reservation had nothing to do with when a shuttle would be available, which was up to an hour later depending who you were on our shuttle. It made many stops, not the two or three mentioned in the advertisement. And the cost was slightly more than the Individual Lyft ride I took back to the airport. Its really frustrating the amount of sit time in a van that you wait, before you actually depart Ohare to drive downtown. Today, I waited 25 minutes from the time I sat in a van at terminal one, to leaving the airport at terminal 3. And still, with all that wait time of 25 minutes, I am still the only rider. It was a great service years ago, before Uber but nowadays, its about the same price as an Uber and with an Uber, youre leaving the airport within 5 minutes of requesting the ride. I used these guys several years ago and was happy with the service.... Oh how times how times have changed. I reserved a Premium Shared SUV, cause the vans are not clean, usually packed with people, luggage piled high and don't have seat belts that work. On the 1st leg of the trip, I had to check in at the desk, then wait 30 minutes for a ride.... only to have to ride in the poor quality van. Leg 2: I called a day ahead to make sure (or find out) if the SUV would be picking us up. Received a text link with an UBER-type map showing my SUV driver's location. Guess what? In an hour he never moved. Ended up in the van again, who showed up an hour late and drove past the hotel 2 times..... And I had to call to get my rate adjusted. Moral of the story is that SUV driver's get to choose their work. SUV drivers don't like the airport runs. I will not be using these guys again. Poorly executed technology, poor communication, dirty vehicles and drivers. Drivers are nice enough, but maybe the company should supply a cleaning service on the vans and the uniforms. read more

I booked with them for Go Airport Shuttle for transportation in Los Angeles, which they in turn pawn out to some else called Prime Time...both are incompetent. The driver never showed up in-spite of having written confirmation and haven paid in advance more than $200. Made the mistake of using this company again, after my lousy experience with them in Boston. I reserved a round trip shuttle online. They say they pick up from the airport to the downtown hotels every 10-15 minutes. I was seated the van right away, that is the only positive. But still had to wait another 45 minutes for them to fill up the van with people! So we were all sitting there waiting for every single seat to be filled. Along with an annoying girl who was crying that she wouldn't be dropped off first because she had Hamilton tickets (not the company's fault, just another irritant). It costs less than a cab or Uber at rush hour, but wasn't worth it. I canceled my trip back to the airport, and they charge $5 for that. Whatever. They were very nice initially and said to expect the refund to my credit card in 5-7 business days Here I am 7 weeks after cancellation waiting for their "accounting" department to process my $117 refund. I call every week to check the status of the refund and am told the same thing every time..."accounting is working on it and it'll be another week or so". I assumed that taking the Airport Express airport shuttle would be cheaper than taking a cab from O'Hare to the suburbs. I liked the online reservation feature as well. They have kiosks inside the airport (by the baggage claim) and can load the van right outside of baggage claim. The first kiosk wasn't attended and I was waiting for him there - only to be told that they no longer used that kiosk. It took us awhile to figure out why we didn't see each other. The van seemed clean (it was dark, so I couldn't see much) and the driver was pleasant (and thankfully not chatty). He was pleasant enough and found his way to my destination without getting lost. My main issue is that they aren't any cheaper than taking a taxi (American Taxi) for a one way trip ($35 for AE, $35 for the taxi) - and the shuttle involves sharing the van with other people. Discounts are offered if you make a roundtrip reservation. Note, you need reservations if you're going from the airport to a residential area in Chicago or the suburbs and you need reservations to go to the airport. read more

Congratulations, Go Express, you passed my 1-star litmus test: Would I have been better off if you'd never existed? Yes. What happened was that I reserved a ride to O'Hate airport several days in advance. Go Express called five minutes after the pick-up deadline, said the pick-up was cancelled because the driver was an hour behind schedule and that I should call a cab immediately. Given that it takes, in this context, at least an hour to fall an hour behind schedule, a respectable van service would cancel or give warning the instant they suspected that pick-up might become impossible. A respectable van service would consider such egregious far-beyond-last-minute cancellation tantamount to a (rare) catastrophe, apologize profusely, and offer to pay the difference between the ride and the cab fare. But the nonchalance with which Go Express treated this suggests that they are anything but respectable. Instead, it suggest that they are villains, villains in the businesses of routinely fucking people over on a day (airport day) when those us who don't own a private Gulfstream are already tested beyond our endurance with respect to the customer service anal fist-blastings that comprise the airline industry. read more

Asked if they had a courtesy shuttle from Airport to hotel. She said sure- just jump on this thing. Awesome! SO I find the thing. Little sis and I jump in. Dude asks us for our ticket. We have no idea what he's talking about. He takes us to another terminal. I get out. I'm directed to ticket booth. $72 later. Apparently Chicago has a different definition of courtesy shuttle. At LAX each hotel has a free shuttle to get you there and back. Not the case here. I wish I'd known before he'd driven me around the airport with my stuff packed in the back of the van. So the sister and I are stuck in traffic with a crazy driver for over an hour getting into downtown. When I got in the van I told him the address and name of the hotel. There are apparently more than one Hilton in downtown so I made sure to tell him it was the Magnificent Mile location. Hilton Suites. Delaware Place. He says sure. He asks for one of my potato chips. Little sis and I hide under the seat and silently talk about him via mobile Facebook status updates comments. A while later we pull up at the Hilton. It looks mighty fancy for the sweet $59 Hotwire rate I booked last minute. I had a feeling the driver had gotten this one wrong. I asked if we were at Magnificent Mile and the Hilton guy said no- other end of Michigan. I look at the driver. He says "I asked you!" Yes, driver guy, you did, and that's why I gave you so many details about the location of our place including the address. Thanks for listening. I'm sorry I wouldn't share my chips with you. We were thinking of taking the train from Midway to downtown Chicago. Decided not to because we had a lot of baggage with us. Instead, we booked online with Go Airport Express. Everything went smoothly. The shuttle van was right outside the baggage claim area at Midway Airport waiting for us. The driver was friendly, and we got to our hotel in good time safe and sound. They also picked us up from our hotel one week later. Again, everything went smoothly. They notified us by text message that they were on their way. The driver also called us when he arrived at our hotel for pickup. Would we use their service again? Based on our experience, absolutely! They are less expensive than taking a taxi. read more

That evening I left a social event early to ensure I'd be home in time for pick-up. I got nervous around 5:55pm because I had not received a phone call or any signs of the driver so I called the 800#. The operator said the driver was running late and would be there within 10min. The time is now 6:30pm, still no driver so I call back. She says that she spoke with the driver and he was still on his way...I asked to be called when he was approaching. So now it's 6:55pm and I am livid!! No one has called and no driver. I call AGAIN and am told that I should make alternate plans for travel to the airport because my driver isn't coming!!! I thought I was dreaming!! How is it that I prepaid for a service, called 3x within the hour to discover that I'm just being left behind?!?!? I was moments away from missing my flight and the birth of my 1st nephew, but thanks to my amazing taxi driver I made it just as my plane was boarding! Needless to say it's been nearly three wks and I have yet to receive any returned phone calls or emails regarding my utter dissatisfaction and this horrendous service, let alone a refund/reimbursement! Get the bad review from my vacation out of the way first.... Yes, Go Airport Express is cheaper than a cab. I guess it depends on how much you value your time and your sanity as to whether you decide it's worth it. I tend towards the opinion that they are taking advantage by charging just enough less than a cab to make it worth considering.... in truth, the service is phenomenally bad and the cabbie earns his keep. My biggest gripe is that the drivers have absolutely no clue what they're doing. My driver back from the airport didn't know where my apartment building was. From the address. Honestly. Secondly is their paperwork trail, or lack thereof. I reserved online. My confirmation said 'to be paid by credit card'. So when the driver asked me (she knew where to pick me up, why don't they tell them the method of payment? it\'s not bloody rocket science), I said I was to pay by credit card. This involved a long and boring detour through the rat maze of O'Hare only to be told that I'd paid already, by a very rude man and the driver getting surly. I had reserved on the way back too - at 5.30am. Nowhere did it tell me that the desk wouldn't be open. The first bus did not come until 5.45am - not very late, but if you have a booking for 5.30am, you turn up at 5.30am, thank you very much. Except that the driver didn't know I had reserved a spot. So it was actually lucky she turned up at all. Really, a service run by lazy greedpots who are taking people for a ride, in my opinion. FAIL!!! I booked an online round-trip reservation for pick-up at home, drop off at O'Hare, and then vice versa on the return. The pick-up to the airport was fine, just as scheduled. The return, however, was a bust. I waited 45 minutes then at the counter was told the van would not be coming because I lived "too far north." Say what?! Why would they allow people to make reservations they can't honor? I asked for a refund so I could take a cab ride, but as of yet, it hasn't happened. I emailed a request so I will update this if and when I get my refund. So just be warned: while pickup to the airport may be fine, do not expect this service to take you home after a long trip. Completely, utterly horrible. Despite reserving online and including my residential destination in the notes and despite double-checking via email that a residential drop-off was feasible, I waited (like a moron) for an hour and twenty minutes for a shuttle pickup. While the guy at O'Hare was very nice, when he checked with dispatch all he could do was pass along their lie that the driver would be there "any minute." Was this a Caribbean "soon come"? Seemed that way, but without the lovely cocktails and beach to keep one pacified while waiting. Go Airport Express should simply stick with hotel service and not promise a service they're clearly incapable of handling. It's shameful a city this size doesn't have a Super Shuttle-type service (even though they have their own problems). Save yourself a massive headache, take the train, and then flag a cab or have a taxi company phone number on hand. Sometimes you just have to know how to work people. So technically they don't pick you up or drop you off in Pilsen. But if you are my mother (aka the most charming person in the whole wide world) you can get just about anything. Including a drop off and pick up in an area they don't service. As well as a nice discount. But that's her. She can get...well anything. Or you can just go to their website and reserve a seat. The website doesn't argue with you and even if the driver mutters under his breath that you are "out of area" there's nothing he can do 'cause you already paid. I've only taken the shuttle once. Mum's done it twice. She had a good experience both times. Timely pick ups and helpful drivers. My driver wasn't ecstatic that he had to drop me off in Pilsen but he dealt with it. The gentleman at the counter at Midway was lovely. I got lots of help with my bags and the trip itself took no time at all. Great deal if you've got too much stuff to take on the El (three enormously heavy, bulky bags on the Orange Line then the 60 was not my idea of fun). read more

I have used Go many times because they pretty much have monopoly on ways to get to and from O'Hare from Hyde park other than public transport (which takes forever) and cab (which is incredibly expensive). From now on, I'll bite the bullet on time or cost and use one of those other options because I am fed up with the terrible service Go provides. It can take up to 3 hours to get to HP from downtown as they pack the vans way over capacity and make 9-10 stops before leaving the downtown core. I was willing to accept this for the safety and the door to door service, but after my most recent customer service experience they have lost a formerly dedicated customer. I booked my shuttle online, and got a confirmation email with a time that was an hour later than I'd booked. I called Go to reschedule, and the woman said she'd moved it up an hour no problem. When the time came, they ended up being half an hour late for the original hour late reservation. The driver tried to make me feel better by telling me not to worry, he would make no more stops and get me right to the airport...then proceeded to make 2 stops downtown. I missed my flight, and when I called Go to complain they just said they would "let the woman who forgot to put in the change know about her mistake". What does that do for anyone? If 0 stars was possible this would be the time to give it. Trip started out great for my wife and daughter ( 15 months old). Hopped into the van and was ready to leave the airport at 4:30pm, apointment time was 4:50pm. The van left on time. Chicago traffic can be bad so we figured they would be to the willis tower by 6:15 ( knew they had to stop and drop off other passengers) Long story short,: driver dropped them off at 7:00pm, a block and a half from the Wacker entrace) , did not help my wife unload the suticases, stroller and carseat. When she told him they this was not where I was meeting her he told her " that is too bad I am late for my next pickup" Since my wifes phone was dead I tried calling Go Airport Express. I gave the dispatcher my wife's itineray, name, that her phone was dead and time she left the airport. Dispatcher told me she didn't have the drivers cell/ number and there is nothing she could do. Just that they should arrive at 5:50pm.. That would have been great if it wasn't already 6:59pm at the time of the call. She then told me to just wait and they could arrive soon. Nothing like seeing your wife carry a car seat, bag, baby, and stroller while being late for a dinner... Won't use this company again and wife can't even begin to say how upset she is . Save your money and take the blue line from the airport. At least you know it will drop you off at the right place and the train driver is more likely to help than the Go AIrport driver. read more

I'm so fired up right now I can't sleep. I had a reservation for a ride from Midway to my pad. The Airport Express desk was closed so I went out to the curb and spoke with a driver who was chatting away with some guy. I finally got his attention and he said he didn't have the reservation but he had room. I showed him my voucher and he shoved it back to me and said it was expired, "I can't take this." He went back to yapping away but my voucher wasn't expired, he read it incorrectly. After a couple of minutes I got his attention and he was cool and took my bag. I got in the van and was ready to go home and crash. It was 12:30am. He then opened the van door and said I had to get out as a reservation that he didn't think would show up did. I told him a had a reservation as well. It didn't matter. I got out and he said he'd call for another van which he didn't for ten minutes at least. I had to remind him. He went in the van ans supposedly called for a another one and said it'd be another 20-30 minutes. Did he really think I was going to take his word or wait that long at that time? HELL NO. Would rate 0 stars if possible. We set up a pickup from Union Station on Canal Street for a Sunday afternoon. Our train was delayed, so we updated our pick-up time as soon as we were able -- almost 6 hours prior to the original pick-up time. We received confirmation that our updated pick-up time was received. However, once we got out to Canal Street where we were told our ride would be, he was nowhere in sight. We were outside on the street at the pickup location, exactly at the time we updated our reservation for. We waited for several minutes, and then called the company. We found out, that they "did not receive our updated reservation," (interesting, because we received confirmation that you received it...) and "waited an hour" before declaring us a "no-show". We were then stranded in an unfamiliar city with no way to easily get to our hotel, with several bags and suitcases. We talked to whoever claimed to be customer service, and they said it would take over an hour to get another car. We decided to use a ride-share option that would wind up being less expensive than the nonexistent shuttle. We were also told that it would take 7-10 business days to get our refund request processed. Yes, you read that right. Refund REQUEST. Needless to say, we cancelled the reservation to take us from the hotel back to the station at the end of our trip. Will update if/when refund is processed, to inform those who make reservations without checking Yelp on how the refund process goes. EDIT: after reading other reviews, it appears that you either get George and have a great time, or you get abandoned and robbed of your money. Good luck! read more

These folks appear to be the exclusive shuttle service for the McCormick Place Convention Center as they had a table set up in the West building. My sister and I were attending a convention and needed a ride from the center to O'Hare on Sunday afternoon. I visited their table on Saturday and they suggested I make an online reservation to make sure I got a seat. I took their advice and on Saturday evening I paid for two riders on the 12:55 shuttle from the center to O'Hare. When I arrived at the convention center on Sunday morning I stopped at the table and verified that I had all the correct information and showed them the QR code and the reservation, and they said I was all set. When we showed up for the shuttle at 12:45 we were told that the 12:55 shuttle had already departed because it was full and the next shuttle was not until 1:45. They suggested we take a taxi and said they would issue a refund. Luckily we had no issues taking a cab, but it seems like Go Airport Express needs to watch the Seinfeld episode about the difference between taking a reservation and holding a reservation. read more
