Do not use them. We waited for an hour for our taxi. We prepaid received no info on arrival at airport. Called company who then sent texts to us to look for 4 no show drivers that were dispatched. After waiting this long we went to the taxi stand and immediately got a ride. There is no need to pre book. Taxi stand with drivers waiting for fares extended to the end of the terminal. I've used Airport Express for years and years but they apparently have now become a taxi broker which gouges customers by surcharging standard taxi fares. My boyfriend and I flew out together and back separately, visiting our families in different states. For two of us, we paid $60, which is normal for Airport Express, but I was annoyed to see that the meter said $45. My return fare was $62, just for a single person. adding insult to injury, though I booked my round trip in the first place, I received an offer of 15% off my return fare after I had already paid. I requested that the company apply the discount to my previously purchased return trip, but have yet to receive a reply. Should of checked the YELP reviews before scheduling a ride with this company but the experience from the airport was not horrendous. The horrendous experience comes from my pre-arrangement for a pick up of four people, six bags and a wheelchair from the Hilton Chicago to O'Hare Airport. I had arranged for a van to pick us up at 11:00 AM to give us an adequate amount of time to maneuver the airport as I was traveling with an individual with multiple disabilities and TSA etc is always a challenge and stressful. Our experience with Go Airport only added stress to the trip. At 11:20 when we had no van I called the company, sorted through the many number options to speak with a CS agent only to be put on hold for at least ten minutes. When I finally did get an agent I was told " the driver is there" and they hung up. A driver did show up, in a van but for another gentleman and even though they were going to our same location refused to transport us....On the phone AGAIN to CS and on hold AGAIN; this time my patience was gone and the CS agent asked if I just wanted to cancel the ride. If I had been alone without the challenges of tons of luggage and a wheelchair Lyft would of been called but they had no vehicles to accommodate us. At 11:50 a driver pulled up, asked if we were waiting for a ride and got us on our way, he was excellent and tried to calm our nerves, it was not his fault but he had just came on shift at 11:30, If I had not called and been diligent chances are we would of been SOL! We had to run through the airport barely making it with time to breath. I have tried reaching out to the company multiple times since this with absolutely zero response. This was the WORST most dangerous experience I've had. Don't book with them. The online agency let me book for an 11:30 pm pickup in Chicago. As a single woman traveling alone I paid a premium for a dedicated sedan and driver and added a tip. It was $100. They rewarded me by abandoning me at the airport. My employee spent 45 minutes on their phone with dispatch before we realized the driver simply no longer wanted to work that night. I then had to fight tooth and nail for a refund after they told me that they don't do pickup at the airport after 10pm. !! This from the f****** company that HAPPILY took my money online and didn't tell us over the many calls to dispatch that they wouldn't pick us up. What a complete SCAM. The kicker: I ended up alone in a cab at 2:30 with a man I didn't trust who was super weird and literally told me he wanted to strangle someone. Five stars for taking our money. Usually I take a cab or Uber, but decided to try Go Airport Express. They said that the drivers left every 10 minutes. That wasn't exactly true. After waiting until we had enough people in the van, we drove off. A ride that usually takes 35 minutes took almost 90. The shuttle had to make multiple stops, including one to make a delivery. Stay away from using this company. You're better off taking uber or Lyft since you'll be waiting in a long line to catch a taxi anyways. For starters, when I arrived at the taxi area, there was a long line of people getting taxis. As soon as I got to the front of the line, I had to wait about 10 minutes longer because a flash cab had to be requested. Once the driver arrived, he got my luggage and then I got in the cab, and I showed him the voucher. He drove about a foot forward and pulled over to look at it. The flash cab taxi driver had no idea what this in his words "piece of paper" I handed him was, then he flipped out on me. He was very rude to me about it and literally I had thought the Go Airport Express company was a common thing as I had found out about this company through the Chicago city website. As he was pulled over he called the Go Airport Express to explain the voucher. Another 10 minutes went by. I had suggested to him that I just take an uber instead and he was very adamant and rude about finding out what the voucher was. The company had to call him back to explain what the voucher was. And then while he was still trying to figure it out, he finally started driving to my destination. As he was driving he did not pay much attention to the road, he was swerving and kept messing with his phone, as well as telling me random stories. I was literally scared for my life. I felt as though the driver was mentally unstable, and he even made me cry. The flash cab service then contacted me saying he was not on their radar or something of that sort. I began to have an anxiety attack on the ride there. I did get to my destination, thank God, but overall this was a very a bad experience. Definitely opt for the online reservation instead of calling them directly, I got put through so many loops just because I had other questions when I booked. If you do book a van, make sure you check in through the kiosk no matter how slow and inefficient it is. While waiting, one of their drivers offers to take us to our destination and if we had went w/ him instead of checking in through the kiosk, I would have been double charged. It sort of ended up like a clusterf** since our driver put random passengers w/ our group. Then he needed to switch van keys w/ another The van was ok, At least we all got to the hotel in one piece and the van was in ok condition. THE WORST shuttle company ever. I made it to O'hare this morning after spending over 40 minutes w/ a religious zealot taxi driver, but that's a whole another story. I was going to use the shuttle for my trip back to the airport, but after being on the phone for over 30 minutes, and finally getting someone on it after my 3rd try, I was told that I had to make a reservation 24 hours prior which was not what it says on my ticket. Nevertheless, I was semi happy that I got my money back from the company's counter at the airport. I was not happy that I had to pay over $50 for the cab ride back. Folks, this is why MONOPOLIES suck. I spoke to the rep. at the airport, and he mentioned that this company does not spend any of its money to make sure that they're well-staffed. Well, they don't need to. They're the only game in town. I'm just not sure why the 3rd largest city in the US has only one shuttle company. How did that happen ? read more

You can't beat the Blue line train from/to O'Hare airport as far as convenience and cost ($2.25) but I get that there are some circumstances where the train is not an option. These may include: -a flight arriving/departing at an off peak time -heavy luggage you don't want to lug around -a friend visiting from out of town who is unfamiliar with the transit system -you just don't want to deal with the train because you've had a long flight and want to just get home I tried out Go Airport Express on a return trip back to Chicago so I used the shuttle to bring me from O'Hare Airport back to my apartment on the Gold Coast. I booked the reservation ahead of time on the internet. When I landed, I headed toward the Baggage Claim section which is super easy to find - just follow the signs. The Go Airport green and white counter area was easy to spot once I got to the baggage area. Unfortunately, there was no one on duty when I got there (9pm on a Sunday night) but there was a note letting me know to head outside toward there pickup site. There was a van already waiting there so that made things quick and easy. All went smoothly as the driver took my reservation print out confirmation. One other girl got on with me at that terminal so the van pulled into another terminal to pickup more passengers. This can take a little time but it wasn't so bad. With 5 passengers on board, we headed toward the city. I was the first drop off so all in all this was a pleasant experience. I didn't give it a 4 star rating mainly due to price and knowing that the option of the train is readily available. One-way is $30. A taxi runs about $40, although if you get stuck in traffic that could run a lot more. The nice thing about Go Airport Express is that it's a set rate. Also, I heard someone ask for a STUDENT RATE which seemed like it might be a significant discount. Definitely look into this if you have a college ID. read more

If I would have read the horror stories on here, I would have never take this company. However, this company was recommended to me way before I even Yelped this service. I can't say I had terrible customer service or even a horror story. I've just had experience with better transport services. We booked an online reservation going to Waukegan on the day of arrival and back to O'Hare the day of departure. About three days before the trip, I realized I messed up the pick up times due to the hour time difference (I was traveling from New Jersey). I was able to change my reservation online with no problems, but not before calling the phone service. The phone service promptly told me to go online and see if I could fix my problem, which irked me. I did solve the reservation problem, however. A WORD OF ADVICE. If you book the reservation online, MAKE SURE you print out your receipt/reservation paper. That piece of paper saved my skin TWICE during this trip. Arriving at O'Hare, we checked in with one of the kiosks. We were early. There was a group of employees at the kiosk who seemed to be related, talking in another language, with their shirts untucked from their paints - that was kind of sketchy. They looked dubious when I checked in, but thank heaven I had my confirmation paper. They told us the shuttle would come in about twenty minutes, which would leave us right up to our scheduled travel time. ANOTHER piece of advice - While reading the list of prices at the Kiosk, there is a travel option to 'travel in a pair' for 60 bucks as opposed to 100 bucks - what we paid for two people. So we got ripped off, essentially, cause we didn't know about the special-two-people discount when we booked online. Our driver was not charismatic, but not rude - he just minded his own business. In fact, I felt like I was troubling him for giving him a ride, but he did take us to our destination in a timely fashion. Going back to the airport was weird. Remember I told you to print out that piece of paper? Well, thank goodness I did, cause it saved me again. Instead of dispatching a GoAirportExpress driver, they dispatched a driver from 303 Taxi. The poor driver had no clue why they had done so, but probably assumed because 303 was closer at the time. Weird, right? I showed him the paper, and he drove us. I hope he got his money. So that's why it got three stars - 1.) Because they were sketchy at the kiosk. 2.) We missed out on the discount and they took our money anyway. 3.) They dispatched another company to do their job in the end. I can't give it any less than 3 stars, because they did get us to our destination in a timely fashion. A last piece of advice - I see most of the horror stories on here happen when reservations are booked way in advance. I booked my service about a week before my flight. I booked a pickup to Midway Airport. They insisted I needed to be picked up at 5 a.m. for my 8:25 flight. Despite an e-mail confirmation the day before and confirming when I called that night to ask why the pickup was so early, they did not show up. After my second call, they told me no car was or would be dispatched. This was a major problem as there are few options at that time of morning so far from the airport. I saw a Groupon for Go and decided to pick it up so that I didn't have to cab in from Midway as I have never gone into Chicago from that direction and wasn't sure the cost. Seeing all the bad reviews I was a little nervous my trip would start out rough but when I got to the Go booth at the airport they told me to show my Groupon to the driver and off I went. The driver we got was pretty cool guy. He gave us a run down of all things that we passed, some history and funny stories. We joked a lot and he had me at the Intercontinental in no time. He was pretty cool and gave us some good recommendations and what tourist traps to avoid. Booking for the way back was easy. I used their online form and they were very punctual. I had with one of the funniest drivers I've ever had. We joked about everything Chicago related and got some fantastic tips for my next trip back. He answered all my questions no matter how good or bad. I even stumped the driver when I why the heck are all the doors in downtown Chicago revolving? I'd definitely use them again. read more

One star for the horribly rude young girl who works at the Midway dispatch desk. Extremely nasty customer service from a girl named Nicole. Sept. 27 around 7:30pm. Went up to the desk near baggage claim to check on a previously booked door to door car service. Nicole sat there and played with her phone and refused to look up nor acknowledged me. I basically had to call her out and tell her to stop playing with her cellphone. She refused and kept playing with her phone. WHAT WAS HER PROBLEM? Another employee was standing nearby and helped me by radioing a car. On the way home, a friend and I complained about our bad experience to the driver, and he told us other passengers of his mentioned their displeasure with her specifically. My itinerary said that we would be leaving right at 11:30 pm and we didn't leave until much later when the entire van was full of people who didn't have reservations that the guy was just shooting the breeze with outside. Once we were finally making our travels, the driver was driving all over the city completely out of an order that would make sense, going back and forth as if this was the first time he'd been to Chicago. I was totally welcomed to Chicago by these wonderful people from GO. They gave me a choice of riding with just the two of us or a bus full. I had no problem with bringing others to their destinations. The ride to the Warwick Allerton seemed short because the driver was happy, pleasant and navigated well. The names of the people who took care of us were Kevin and CJ. I think that last name is correct. He actually helped me out of the van. Not quite sure how to explain this...arrived ORD and needed a way to get my hotel. Uber app showed better than an hour before I'd have a ride, Lyft has what appears to be an absurd price structure (flat rate + cost per minute + cost per mile + pick up fee...list goes on) so I asked these folks, "how much to get to [my hotel]. $45. Well OK, same as Uber and leaving in about 15 minutes. I did leave within about 15 minutes. Waze showed ETA at the hotel as ~1 hour - it was about 3:45 on a Tuesday so seemed reasonable. And we took off....like a herd of turtles. I've now been riding in the van for 45 minutes and Waze shows hotel ETA as...1 hour?! What the HELL just happened? Driver has a Samsung tablet with a map app so not sure what course it plotted, but we did wind through several neighborhoods. I'm guessing he thought he knew a better route and told the map app to shove off. So, still riding, now on East 90/94, along with several hundred not-so-close friends. I can see downtown so hopefully we'll arrive soon. Or at least today. I had this at 2 stars until the driver kept purposefully, I assume, missing turns directed by the GPS app. He is checking frequently. I can see the tablet from my seat, the route is clear, the f'in Blue Line dude! He has at lest SIX times come to intersections where the Blue Line shows a left turn, he's been in the far left lane, AND HE CHANGED LANES. Holy Hell. On another he changed lanes as he was approaching the intersection, looked at the app as he passed the intersection, then looked down the road where he should have turned as if he was surprised the damned road was ACTUALLY there! Plus for this driver - he has a cold or allergies, jacking like he's worked in a coal mine all his life, blowing his nose. Also wiping up his face, across his nose, with a bare hand.
