If "0" stars was available, it would be more appropriate…read more I shipped this company an instrument cluster for a 2002 Audi TT Quatro to Nichols Speedometer on 2/27/25, which they received on 2/28/25. The vehicle and cluster worked fine, except the notification center was pixilated, and I asked for the gauges to be calibrated as well. I provided the replacement screen. The estimated cost given to me over the phone was "about $200" prior to my shipping the unit. I was called by the company on 3/6/25, stating that the unit was repaired and calibrated, with a total charge of $455.64 (including shipping charge back to me). Although this was double the amount quoted, I was anxious to have the unit back and repaired. Upon receiving the cluster back and installing it, the screen was now completely dead, and the car immobilizer was activated, making the car unable to be driven. The cluster worked fine before sending it to them, and now was basically bricked, as now was the vehicle. My son (who is a top-rated, well-experienced mechanic) called Nichols Speedometer for me to tell them the issue. He was told that it was a "problem with the car", not the cluster. What a crock, because: a) it worked fine before sending it to them; and b) I have a spare cluster, which works fine, except it will not allow the car to be started due to the coding (which is why I needed the original repaired). Therefore, this shop did something to mess up the coding on the original, and the screen also was not properly repaired on the cluster because it is now completely blank. They denied any responsibility, and there was no offer to provide any type of refund or other accommodation, all of which they categorically refused to discuss when my son contacted them on 3/13/25.The only recourse they offered was for me to spend another $50.00 to ship it back to them, whether they are able to solve the issues or not (which they caused). I am out use of the vehicle, plus the following: $ 18.00 for the LCD screen I provided for repair. $ 50.00 for shipping to them. $ 455.64 for their "repair service", (including return shipping) - which took a working unit and bricked it. In addition (since the vehicle can no longer be driven), with towing, repair, and reprogramming, my estimated further expenses are $1,500.00 to $2,500.00, to fix their mistakes! Needless to say, I am extremely unhappy.
