He ran his little test and said I was wrong. After I had been jumped in my driveway! I went to my dealer and they installed a lifetime battery for $75 more than Adance Auto would have charged! I went to Advanced Auto on Alamance Church Rd. in Greensboro not knowing why no e of my rear lights were not working. The store was closing in ten minutes, but Leon was more than willing to assist me. He went out to my vehicle, opened the trunk, removed the bulbs, went back in to get the correct bulb(s), put them in for me and even told me what was needed when one of them didn't not function after installation. These guys are great! I've shopped here for my car parts and supplies for years. Today's experience underscores why this is such a great store. Two years ago I bought a new battery here for a car I don't drive in the Winter. Today, I tried to crank the car to take it out after it had sat in the garage for nearly three months. Nada. Dead battery. I tried jumping the battery with no luck, so I took the battery out of the car and went over to Advanced Auto thinking I'd need a new battery and not real happy that my two year old battery was dead. I explained to them that I thought I needed a new battery and they said, "Well, let's test it and see." They then explained that they could put it on a quick charge and if it took, they would re-charge the battery. If it didn't take, new battery under warranty, no questions asked. This was going to take 45 minutes so while it charged I ran down to Trader Joe's (another 5 Star experience!). When I returned, my battery was charged and ready to go. I popped it in the car and Vrooom! I'm ready for Spring! Very helpful people who can assist with many typical car issues. My experience couldn't have been any better! read more

Ok I just got to give credit where credit is due however I'm going to say something I stop by to get oil and filter and to be sure to have the correct items one would think the auto store is the place to go however I was shocked to find the service from the employees was terrible I felt as if I were at a discount store with employees that just sell items while not having any knowledge of their products as if I should get a second opinion from a more knowledgeable staff such as #napaauto well I'm just saying anyway they seem to have a lot of items and a rather large selection as I included photos.... read more

AAP employees are simply doing their job and most are very good at it. Always courteous and helpful in my experience, when I purchase windshield wipers - they offer to install at no extra charge. When I have an check engine light showing, they will tell me the code and what it means. When I need a new battery, they install it and at no extra charge. If I can't find something, they help me out and are very kind. I need a lawn mower sparkplug - guess what? they have it! I do not understand why someone would write a yelp review to bash the employees here, maybe I am just super lucky to have always had helpful and kind employees working. Ya know, maybe some people that write bad reviews are just total jerks and need to get a grip on how to behave when they need assistance. read more

My experience a little while ago with Advance Auto Parts on Battleground Ave really just made my day. I placed an order online for store pickup ( and saved $20.00 off my order with a coupon) thinking I was going to spend an hour or so replacing my headlights, cabin filter and air filter over the weekend. When I went to the counter the gentleman who helped me (and I really wish I got his name) asked me if I wanted them to install what I assumed was just the headlights since that was in his hand at the time. Wrong. He installed all the items in about 20 minutes at no additional charge. He wouldn't even accept the tip I offered. Gotta say, I love that service. Really, if I could give it 0 stars I would. I have had trouble for years upon years with this company and their terrible customer service. The one area that is the worst is checking battery/alternators. I have had to do this a number of times, because it is a free service. Everyone that I have ever dealt with never acts like they don't want to help you. I, for the life of me cannot figure out why this is such an inconvenience to the employees. Yesterday I had to get my battery checked because I've been having problems with it. The guy checked it with their "machine" and said both were good. Needless to say, I didn't believe it, so I had to take it to a place I trust, and they said the battery was bad. Go figure. Just like I suspected. On top of everything else, here is a shocker everyone needs to know about this place: people that work here do not know anything about cars. They aren't even subtle about it.
