I've been a 5 years patient at G.O. Dental Group and never had a bad experience with them. The front desk is nice and friendly, and I appreciate their clarity in confirming my benefits and patient portion. Making and rescheduling appointments is also fairly painless. However, what makes me truly stay is the doctor. Over the years, I have had many visits to do my braces and clean my teeth, but I still remember the time I had a couple back teeth removed. Before that, I had a negative experience with another doctor, so I was a little nervous going in. But Dr. Huynh truly surprised me with his technique. The removal was virtually painless! The last doctor that removed my tooth was rough and seriously lacked the necessary hand-eye coordination. Dr. Huynh, on the hand, was not only gentle, but also efficient in taking care of my teeth. Truly a testimony of how many years he has been practicing! All in all, I would definitely recommend visiting this office for uncharacteristically pleasant experience! read more

I mostly go in for cleaning and I squirm and fidget, sometimes gag but here's the thing, my chronic, long term gum issue has improved over the 4 years I've been a patient. The office is very friendly and welcoming, the staff verified my insurance ahead of time and let me know what my benefits were. The staff also made my visit very comfortable and the hygienist was very gentle on my teeth. Before treatment was done they provided me with an estimated cost for said treatments. Dr. Huynh was very knowledgeable and took care of my concern while providing multiple options to my tooth ache. I'm such a horrible flosser---but I'm still improving, so that's good. :P Michael is a great guy, clean job, and seems to ensure he keeps up with the latest dental office equipment and patient comfort. Adjustable massage mat on the chair. Wall-mounted monitor. Decked out shelf in waiting area (coffee, crackers, etc). The assistant seems to change every time I come in for my 6 month check-up, but they all are pleasant. It is very unprofessional, not helpful, and dishonest place for all patients - regardless of having health insurance coverage or paying cash/credit cards for the service. (The public should know the truth before going to this place...for any kind of services) Here are the reasons: First, I came here, and gave my insurance policy and ID (Driver License) 24 hours in advance of my appointment for the teeth cleaning. When I got to this office for my appointment, had to wait for 10-15 more minutes. The receptionists were there when I came in, and nobody told me about my insurance policy issue. But when I got in the office, they told me that they have to do the x-ray photos of my teeth. I was okay with it. Please note that I changed the insurance policy early this year, and I have never used it before, so this was my first time I used at this office. For the record, I went to many dentists before, they always tried to contact the insurance providers and resolve the issue, and inform the patient everything before scheduling or cancelling the appointment. 1/This office never help patients OR do anything for helping the patient. Second, when they have information about my insurance policy with dental coverage issue, at least they should inform or let me know if I would agree to pay cash or credit card before pushing me through the treatment (teeth cleaning). Why should I have to pay cash/credit card for this issue while I have the health insurance policy for? I have to pay my health insurance in every paycheck and every month... They pushed me through the x-ray without a word of my dental insurance issue, and when I stopped to ask about the coverage, they just tell me the insurance has the issue after the fact... Please remember I asked if my dental insurance coverage has any issue first, they didn't tell anything... 2/ This office never help patients OR do anything for helping the patient. Finally, they charged me the service they didn't perform. This was very dishonest and overcharge. I just got x-ray photos, and have never received any comprehensive oral evaluation from them or any person, but why they did charge me for that task which they never performed. Did you (Mr. Huynh) or your staff perform any comprehensive oral evaluation for me? I was completely unknown what was the reason for that charge? (For the record, I even haven't seen the x-ray photos yet). They charged my credit card: +$82.00 for comprehensive oral evaluation - new patient +$130.00 for intraoral - complete series. I've been going here since I was a kid, when it used to be Dr. Mirante's dental office. When he retired, Dr. Huynh took over the clientele and since then... I've started enjoying going to the dentist for my 6 month check-up cleanings. Ever since Dr. Huynh took over, the office got frequent makeovers, the cleanings have been much more gentler and all the equipment have sure upgraded. As much as I STILL HATE getting x-rays done, at least I don't have to bite down on cardboard type of x-ray paper. Instead, it's all high-tech that my x-rays come right up on the monitor rather than having to develop the x-rays. Although there are assistants that come and go there (I'm pretty sure they're doing externships with their schools), they're all pretty friendly and make sure that you're comfortable with what they're doing to your teeth. The best part is that you get a bag with a new toothbrush and dental floss. If only they'd add a travel sized tube of toothpaste, you'd be set for any trip. At this visit, I happened to bring my 2 year old with me, so that when her time comes to start getting her 6 month cleanings, she won't freak out like most children do in the doctor's office. She was very well behaved and Dr. Huynh's wife even took her aside while I was in the chair and showed her a toy box full of toys. So she was very easily distracted. She was later given her own size toothbrush, which she was super excited about. I'll be making next visit in October for my next 6 month cleaning. Hopefully by then, I'll be sitting in their new office... which is only a couple doors down in which used to be a house. read more

After switching dentists last year due to proximity, I have been here a couple of times now. Their assistants have been fairly friendly, but the last visit was the fastest cleaning I have had in my life... I'm not entirely sure if that is good. They had a "sonic descaler " and digital xrays, but the polishing only took about half the time it took at my other dentist. I think the doc might have spent 5 minutes with me in total; actually that may be closer to 3 impersonal minutes. The waiting area has been full every time I have come also... probably due to them booking back to back appointments. The receptionist is really pushy with making follow up appointments even after repeated attempts to decline. This essentially requires you to be mean to her and raise your voice or call back and cancel. I'm guessing it's their (poor) strategy to ensure a steady revenue stream. In summary, they have been an ok experiences, not great. While the dentist seemed technically competent, the assistants appeared to have just finished training (e.g. banging tools around my teeth). We seemed rushed each time and it really seems like they want to get through as many procedures as they possibly can in a given day. I don't like being rushed through my dentist visits like it's a fast food drive through, so I think I will be going back to my original dentist. read more

To be brutally honest, my initial impression of this business was not great. Scheduling the first appointment for my dental exam I felt extremely rushed speaking to whoever was helping me over the phone. I work in healthcare myself and I fully understand the amount of patience it requires to assist someone in receiving any sort of health service. Patients (in my experience) usually don't know how it works, nor is it explained to them. Had I been any other patient, I am not sure if speaking to the lady I spoke to would have made it any less confusing to me. With that being said, I arrived at my appointment and after filling out paperwork, I was seen immediately. No unnecessary wait time (which is always nice). The dental assistant that did my cleaning was named Carrie. She is amazing. Never in my life have I had such a relaxing experience. It's almost bizarre to admit that getting a dental exam could be described as such. Aside from the x rays which always brings me discomfort, Carrie was extremely gentle with my teeth. Every other experience I've endured was handled with such aggression that I've been conditioned to associate dental check ups with a incredibly negative connotation. There was never a excess build up of saliva in the back of my throat, she didn't cut my gums trying to get through my extremely tight contact teeth with the wax floss, and didn't use the water spray in such a way that it would splatter all over my face (which I've been so tragically accustomed to). She was delicate, thorough, and most importantly.. didn't try to make conversation every time both her hands were in my mouth. And I really appreciate that. After she was done, Dr. Huynh examined a couple of my X-rays and then briefly my teeth and.. really didn't speak to me much. I thought that was odd and the interaction I've had with him was probably less than 2 minutes. No exaggeration. He told me my teeth looked good and Carrie would help me schedule future appointments if it was something I decided to do. The ladies at the front desk were very clear in showing me what my insurance covered and exactly what the copay/coinsurance of the next visit would be, so I'm not sure why so many other reviews have complaints about not informing patients of fees prior to their appointment when they definitely did for me. I had absolutely no issue. The reason why I'm generous enough to give this place a 5 star review is because it is the best cleaning I've ever experienced and that was something I didn't think could be possible. I have a future appointment scheduled with Dr. Huynh for a filling and will follow up after giving him another chance. [SIDE NOTE: I have amazing oral hygiene and this filling is NOT a result of a cavity but a broken molar from a previous and horrible experience with another dental office!!] I hope Dr. Huynh is engaged and thorough in the care of my oral health and if expectations are not met (and trust me they're really not that high), I know there are plenty of other dentists in Seattle that will happily take my business and insurance :-) Will keep everyone updated. read more

They gave me a quote for a crown that I thought was very high so I went and had a second opinion. The second dentist quoted me less than half so I was going to have him do the crown. Unfortunately after taking xray's they noticed the tooth was cracked and they were unable to save it. It concerns me that my original dentist did not see the crack and was going to perform the crown anyways. read more

Trying to arrange an appointment was difficult. Having spoken to the receptionist several times and a few emails later I decided that this practice wasn't for me. I never got to set Dr H so I can't comment on him although Ive heard good reports. It's a shame his reception process put me off going there. *I spoke to two different people on the reception. It was the first one that seemed to be more interested about what I would be paying. The second lady I spoke with did communicate more but there was a big disconnect with what I initially arranged on the phone with first receptionist and then subsequent calls/emails with others. It was if all the arrangements discussed had not been passed on. I decided that if it was that difficult to set up an initial consultation then best look elsewhere...which I have done with no issues whatsoever at the other clinics. * update in reply to response... I didn't get my questions answered as implied in the response...I received different answers depending on whom I spoke to. I wouldn't put this negative review up if I'd had a satisfactory experience. My review is based purely on my dealings with appointments. My 'demands'(!!!) were simply asking for the initial consultation fee to be clarified - firstly I was told it would be free, then a fixed amount, then it depended on the treatment. It was confusing and I never received a final answer...meaning no emails or calls - hence the review. Maybe listening to genuine reviews rather than dismissing them would be more useful to your 'service'! read more

My wife were (emphasis on were) new clients. We were told they can see us for an exam and most likely a cleaning if no major problems showed up on the exam. It looked like they didn't have time to do the cleaning but instead rushed us through and did a very very poor cleaning so they can see the next client. Worse cleaning I have ever had in my life!!! If they were not able to do the cleaning they should not have booked us for that time slot. Now if we want to do another cleaning before 6mons it's going to be out of pocket instead of through insurance. They also tried to sell me braces for one slightly crooked bottom tooth that is not noticeable. I know I don't need it because an orthodontist told me I didn't need it when I was back in high school. So sad. Dr. Huynh is great. My wife and I both had root planing. Virtually painless. The downside: you pay upfront the full price. In any other office the turnaround is basically two weeks. But here...The ins staff are clueless and can't file a claim properly. She even asked me to mail it myself. Claims mail goes to the neighbor next door, claims out to lunch ect... will not give me a proper invoice with the dental codes so I can submit to insurance. Had to call the attorney general just to get my insurance money from them. I suspect insurance fraud going on. Great treatment of the teeth, horrible on your pocket book. read more

Med staff is not professional. The nurse put numbing gel on my gum even though I said I don't need it during teeth cleansing. The numbing gel numb my tongue and lips but not my gum, making me unforeseeable for at least 30 minutes :((( Won't go back again!!! read more

My absolute favorite about this place is that they give me a small hot towel massage right after!! If you are a Veteran that is still seeking care because you didn't get the remainder of it before you got out of service-definitely do not go here. I was supposed to get treatment from an outside specialist for my tooth, and a whole month passed by, I heard nothing form these guys as my General Dentist regarding being approved by the VA or nothing. I finally call GO Dental Group a whole month later and not only did the lady who was working with my case quit, but no one picked up her slack and continued where she left off. Now here's the kicker-they got mad AND HUNG UP ON ME FOR TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY REFERRAL AND MY CASE. If you like getting hung up on, people not following up within a decent time frame, and sub par work-then go see the awesome people at GO Dental Group. MY next stop the BBB, I think they also need to hear this. Oh I almost forgot-there is a lady who answers the phone that doesn't even speak conversational English. So if you get her-you are really going to be waiting a long time to get anything done. She is also one of the receptionist that hung up in my face. WOW you are hanging up on me and you don't even speak English well enough to do something like that. Good Luck with these guys. Also they over book.
