This company is a rip off. They show you a great vacation package take your money then change all your stays to whole in the wall places with bad reviews dirty. They refused to refund or cancel even though a cancelation policy states as long as given in writing will cancel. Lost over 1098, 00 us dollars and now proceeding with fraud claim. Will also file criminal report. I doubt Ireland wants there there visitors to like this read more

Staff worked with me pretty responsively, but we decided to plan the trip on our own in the end. We had more flexibility and saved some money that way. But we were planning rather late in the day. I think they could be good for ideas, support. and probably for flexibility if you start planning earlier than we did. read more

We're happy to share our experience to help others avoid the same disappointment. We DO NOT recommend Go Irish Tours. We are an experienced, internationally traveled family, and we spent 20 months--since November 2023--meticulously planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Ireland for a group of 20 family members. We chose Go Irish Tours based on their promises of personalized service, local expertise, and seamless coordination. What we actually received was a frustrating, disjointed, and often chaotic experience marred by poor communication, internal disorganization, and a disturbing lack of accountability. Broken Promises: Ashford Castle and a Ripple Effect Ashford Castle was a key highlight for our group--many of us were especially excited about the falconry experience. Our original agent, Dylan, confirmed multiple times--both via email and video--that our rooms at Ashford were secured. We trusted those assurances and submitted our deposits right away. Months later, we were told the rooms had never been reserved. Instead of proactively informing us of the change, Go Irish Tours waited until we uncovered it ourselves. They offered a substitute castle--which, while lovely, was out of the way, isolated, and added extra drive time to our itinerary. The loss of Ashford Castle, even though it was scheduled for the final night of our tour, was still disruptive--both emotionally and logistically--given how long it had been part of our plans and how much it shaped our expectations for the trip's conclusion. Itinerary and Planning Flaws Despite having nearly two years to plan, the itinerary Go Irish Tours developed ultimately proved to be rushed, illogical, and often impractical in execution. We had approved it in good faith, trusting their expertise and local knowledge to guide the structure of the trip. In one instance, we arrived in Kinsale on a Friday evening at 6:30 PM, and no one from the agency had advised us to make dinner reservations. It was peak time in a busy town. Our group had to split up just to find food, then reconvene later for a quick drink before returning to the hotel--with luggage call scheduled for 9 AM the next morning. This was a recurring theme: beautiful hotels we only stayed in for 10-12 hours, evenings with no time to explore, and mornings rushing to beat the bus schedule. For a group of this size, and with this much lead time, the itinerary felt slapped together and completely detached from reality on the ground. Transportation: Disorganized, Uncomfortable, and Poorly Managed Just five days before our arrival, we were shocked to learn that no driver was confirmed for our group on day 1--despite our formal itinerary, dating back to November 2023, clearly indicating a hotel room reserved for the driver that night. We also had months of email confirmations from the agency confirming that transportation would begin that day. When we reached out for clarification, we were told a driver could be arranged--but only for an additional charge, despite that day having been planned and accounted for from the very beginning. Once on the road, things only got worse. Our tour bus's air conditioning broke during an historic heatwave--temperatures in the 80s, the hottest Ireland had seen since the 1930s. Despite Go Irish's claim of 24/7 support, we didn't receive a call back for 19 hours, and the response was dismissive: "The bus was serviced three weeks ago." No repair was offered. No replacement was made. We spent the rest of the trip riding with windows and the moon roof open, trying to stay cool when it wasn't raining. It was deeply uncomfortable. Chaotic Internal Communication The breakdown in communication within Go Irish Tours was glaring. When Dylan left the company, no one informed us. Phone agents couldn't locate our reservation. Emails went unanswered. It took escalating the issue multiple times before we were reassigned to a new agent, and even then, the confusion continued. Despite dozens of emails clearly outlining concerns and errors, Jesse, a supervisor eventually told us, flatly, that there had been "no history of failures" with our booking. Bottom Line: As seasoned travelers who have planned group trips around the world, we expected professionalism, clarity, and follow-through--especially after 20 months of planning and early deposit payments. Instead, Go Irish Tours delivered a disorganized, dismissive experience that fell far short of what was promised. If you're planning a special group experience, especially one involving multiple generations, locations, or events, we strongly urge you to look elsewhere. We're happy to share our experience to help others avoid the same disappointment. We DO NOT recommend Go Irish Tours. read more

My daughter and I did a 10 day tour for her high school graduation celebration. Jessica got us set up at the loveliest B&B's and with all the great sites seeing experiences planned. We had a wonderful tour guide/driver named Russell. Russell was so kind and knowledgable. He catered our tour/plans as we went along around the weather, crowds, and out personal interest. He knew of the best places to stop for lunch along our route and because of this we had some of the best food EVER. I highly recommend both Irish Tours and Russell. read more

Donna M. at Go Irish Tours planned my 16 day DREAM IRISH VACATION and I could not have been more pleased. I never had any problems with ANY of my vouchers for tickets or accommodations. All of my accomodations included bed and breakfast that were so comfortable and tasty. I was traveling solo, driving myself on the opposite side of the road, and NEVER once felt uneasy about where I was or had any issues. She also arranged a meeting for me with someone she knew personally and meeting that LOVELY, KIND man was the highlight of an AMAZING trip. Ireland is truly a country full of history, gorgeous vistas, and most importantly - LOVELY people. It is hard to pick favorite spots, but climbing Croagh Patrick was a PERSONAL milestone for me and I am so proud of myself for doing that. From Giant's Causeway, to Cliffs of Moher, to Ballintubber Abbey, to Killarney National Park, to House of Waterford, to Trinity College & Book of Kells, to Innis Mean, to Royal Portrush, to all the GORGEOUS quaint little towns in between - I LOVED IT ALL! However, my three days in Mullingar - home to Niall Horan, my FAVORITE artist on the planet - was so special and that is a place I truly could live. I have already recommended Donna to a friend of mine, and the good Lord willing - I will return to Ireland one day and see more of this lovely Emerald Isle. Also, a shout out to the LOVELY family owned Clarke's Bar in Mullingar - Kiernan, Carole, Ryan, and Naomi...THANKS SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING! Give Donna a call or send her an email and she will help make your Irish or Scottish vacation dreams come true. SLAINTE read more

Avoid this company at all costs. I am an avid traveler and this is the worst travel company experience I have ever had. I decided to let Go Irish Tour plan a trip to Ireland for my elderly parents, my husband and myself and it was a disappointment from the start. Firstly - they changed the final amount without alerting me right before the trip started and told me it was because a room in the original hotel wasn't available so they put us in an upgraded hotel but never got my approval for this. They told me it was due to staff turnover and that was the reason for the miscommuication. Secondly, on our first day of the tour, the driver was 3 hours late picking me up after my parents flew into Ireland on a red eye. We were sitting in the Westin lobby waiting with our bags for our and this delayed our entire first day making it impossible to see everything. The car did not have AC in the middle of the summer or working windows. IT was an old and dingy car and smelled bad. We asked several times for the company to change the car which they would not do for us almost to the point where i was getting quotes from additional companies during our couple of last days to make the journey more enjoyable for my parents. The driver would stop like 5-10 minutes away from the entry to some of our locationand tell us he couldn;t get closer then tell us to hurry out of the car since he was parked in an illegal lane. Finally, the second to last hotel was nearly unbearable, completely dissapointed my parents and made me wish I had booked the whole trip on my own and done my own research. After asking for compentsation for the poor experience, they have declined and haven't made any attempt to make it right read more

Our itinerary was a rough draft, no times listed. The hotels, except those we specifically requested, were sub par - even after they "upgraded us at no expense". And, none of the hotels were in central locations to town, so it required us to eat at hotels for dinner and not be able to walk around the towns. Many of the vouchers were for shopping stores. We had a voucher for a cooking class that didn't exist - but were offered no refund. No itemized document but very expensive. VERY, VERY EXPENSIVE. Also, our travel agent was given my email address during the planning process but NEVER included me in the dialogue or planning. Very disappointed and would never use this agency again. read more

Avoid this company at all costs. We were planning a tour in Ireland as part of the Navy - Notre Dame Game and without a lot of time on my plate to do my own research I went with Go Irish tours. It all started out great, they were responsive and helpful in getting things booked and the itinerary looked good. That was all until we paid, then they stopped talking to us. Our tickets were booked, we had the reservation but when I asked about the driver I got crickets in response. The night before the tour was to begin I had to make multiple calls to get anyone to respond and finally after hours I finally got a name and a time for the next morning. The problem is we booked a tour and a driver was supposed to be a tour guide not just a driver. Their driver had 1 year total experience in Ireland, grew up in India and his family lived in Norway! Not the type of expert to give you a tour. He new how to get places via GPS but needed rest breaks on all the drives. 60% of our time was wasted driving from location to location because the driver needed breaks and the distances between locations were too far. Forget about city tours, there is no such thing with this company. Hotel reservations were all screwed up, we had requested 2 beds per room, and everyone one was single beds. We asked for a castle stay, got a country house, specifically said we wanted a castle tour, got ruins and not even a tour, just a drop off and walk around the area because they didn't arrange for a tour of the keep (It cost by the way 5 euro to add the keep) Times were all off. They scheduled us for a 1 p.m. tour of the Titanic in Belfast which was 7 hours away from our hotel in Galway (meaning we would have had to leave at 4 a.m. to get there in time). Unprofessional when we asked for help and now when we have left the tour will still not address our complaints or our asks for a refund due to costs incurred They give you a price in Euros, then when you are ready to book they convert it to $ and charge you 10% over market rate in conversion costs. I can keep going but avoid them. read more

Red flags, do not use this company. We used them to coordinate a trip with my elderly parents in law. The experience was not good, though to their credit they did try to help in the begining. Red flags: 1) Changed invoice amount right before trip, explanation being "first was wrong", after already paying deposit. To their credit they explained it was a staff turnover issue and worked to make it right. 2) Driver was 2.5 hours late day 1. Pushed entire trip off. 3) Car did not have A/C, working windows. We asked for help resolving with a new vehicle, did not ever make a change. We had elderly parents and it was very very uncomfortable. 4) One hotel well below par, very bad experience. We had a nice time at the other two hotels they booked for us, however we had to pay extra after the fact to get in. 5) Once asking for compensation for a poor experience, they completely ghosted us and did not ever attempt to make it right. Summary: Below par organization cutting corners to save costs at customers expense. Highly highly recommend not using. read more

Jessica planned a great self-guided tour for us. All accommodations were great. The pacing of the trip was perfect. Our family decided to go to Ireland. We contacted Go Irish Tours. Mark Hyland and Laura Fogarty helped us create an epic trip. It was not easy as each of the 11 family members had their own agenda. The trip was awesome. We had the most wonderful tour guide, Ciaran Healy. He was funny, caring and knowledgeable. Ciaran made sure our trip was a dream come true. I would highly recommend Go Irish Tours as they delivered what they promised with no hidden costs. read more

if I could give no stars, I would. This company cost us money that we never got back by putting us in the two star hotels after we told them, we only want it four or five star hotels. The one hotel they put us in Galway was so disgusting and unsafe that we had to leave and pay for a new place to stay for two nights at our own cost. Go Irish tours could care less and are unresponsive. They owe us the money for those two nights in Galway. They even told us they dropped that hotel previously because of customer complaints, but never bothered to tell us or change our reservations. Now we are out all that money and go Irish tours won't even respond to us. read more

This company has had quite a bit of our money for over two years. We booked a tour in 2019. The trip was canceled by them in March of 2020 due to Covid. Had multiple issues getting answers about a refund or replacing with another tour with our original agent Michelle. Was told I would receive a credit. Contacted company and was told Michelle no longer works there. Been dealing with Tinamarie for several months now. We are unable to get any answers and her promises to contact us have failed multiple times. I would not recommend these thieves to anyone. read more

Although they were responsive and cordial they did not produce a tour. THey cancelled twice over a 2 year period. When an alternative tour came up in the price we had contracted they said no, the monies could not go to another one of their tours, we would have to rebook the original tour at the new increased price. Again they cancelled. Same song, book original tour at new increased price. Of course over a 2 year period, being elderly the health issues have changed. Even with a doctors note they have refused to refund us, blaiming it on CIE. My contract is with them They have kept our money with a promise the money is coming. They are a broker for CIE and they claim CIE is holding back the refund yet my contract i with Go Irish Tours. DON'T GO THERE UNTIL THEY BECOME HONEST!!! read more

Steer clear of this tour company! They are scammers! As with all the previous reviews we booked our vacation in 2019 and as with all previous reviews we have been extremely unhappy with the lack of communication from Go Irish Tours. We rescheduled our vacation to the end of May 2022. As time has gone on our point of contact has changed and now we get no response at all. We originally gave them a deposit for our tour. We are now 34 days from our scheduled departure and do not have an itinerary. We contacted hotels that we were supposed to be staying in and none of them had a reservation for us or GoIrish. Today, we received an invoice from GoIrish for the remainder of our reservation but still no itinerary. Due to a lack of communication from GoIrish we have booked with a different tour company! GoIrish claims to work alongside the U.S. Embassy but there is no help from the embassy either as they never answer the telephone! Hope you don't have a situation requiring assistance from the U.S. Embassy. We are hoping to recover our deposit through the insurance we took for the trip on the basis of the company being out of business. read more

We had a deposit down when Covid hit in 2019. Tinamarie was initially very responsive and even made a phone call to make arrangements. We understood the no refund policy. But when trying to make new travel plans we have been hit repeatedly with "we will respond back within 2 weeks" . I don't want to book with an agent that can't get back to me if needed while in a foreign country. First I book just a car to use up the credit we have with them. Then I'm told, I cannot only book a car. So I book 2 nights stay and the car for a week. Then they tell me I can't book 1 room for 4 people. There is a limit of 3 per room. So immediately the price is jacked up. So I drop one of the nights and they say I still owe $1300 on top of the money we already gave them. When I question this, they say there is a 4% credit card fee. Their numbers NEVER add up. I asked 4% of what number? No direct response. Shysters...steer clear of Go Irish Tours. read more

We just returned from a 21 day self driving trip around Ireland and Scotland. The entire trip was arranged for us by TinaMarie Bennett of Go Irish Tours. I can't say enough good about Tina and what she did for us. She listened very carefully to what we wanted in a trip, made suggestions (some we didn't follow and now wish we had!!) and designed an incredible lifetime experience. Tina picked all of the hotels for us, including a few Castle Hotels that were just amazing. A few times I went back to her and asked her to upgrade to another hotel with higher ratings. We stayed in 14 different places on our adventure, and I can honestly say that only one of them was questionable. Many deserved 6 stars!!! Tina had numerous conference calls with my wife and I. Both to nail down details and to aleve our anxiety of such a huge trip. When I would contact Tina, if she wasn't available, she was quick to get back to me within 12 hours. The best news is that we did not have one single issue with any of the hotels when checking in. Our reservations were on the books, and the room already paid for. That was one of my biggest worries, that the hotel wouldn't have our reservation, or that it was unpaid. But nope, Tina and her team were right on top of it all. I mentioned that we didn't listen to all of her advice. One was that we might want to alter our trip and stay in more hotels for 2-3 nights. I, on the other hand, wanted to see "everything" and now wish that we had slowed down and stayed at less hotels. We ended up at 14 hotels over a 21 day vacation. Had I listened to Tina, we would have dropped that to about 9-10 hotels over 21 days. The bottom line is that Go Irish Tours is a fantastic tour company, and TinaMarie Bennett is one of the best of the best. My wife and I highly and strongly recommend them. You will not be unhappy. read more

Our trip was wonderful in every way! Everyone in our group of 12 family members thoroughly enjoyed this amazing vacation! Even though we are family, we are a diverse group of ages, abilities, interests, beliefs, and stamina and we rarely get to see each other because of living so far apart. Yet each of us said how this trip brought us all back to our common roots, and gave us time to experience the land and the culture of our grandparents. Go Irish coordinated so many activities and locations that related specifically to our family. We appreciated that they were able to plan a week specifically for us, and not just a typical week of all the typical tourist spots that are offered by other companies. All of the hotels they selected were fabulous, all very comfortable, with good locations. The sites we visited were beautiful, and unique in a way that related to us. All the reservations we had operated so smoothly! Not one hitch!! We truly enjoyed every place we went and every thing we did! Our tour/bus driver, Johnny, was perfect for our group. He was a skilled driver, and knowledgeable guide. He had many good suggestions for us, (and possibly even too many! Lol) He is a man who obviously knows and loves his job. We appreciated his flexibility and experience!! Many thanks to Tina and the team at "Go Irish" for making my family's dream of visiting "our roots" come true! read more

My wife and I were very pleased with GoIrishTours.com, mostly because of the efforts of their staff, particularly with Ronan Chevalier, our travel sales consultant. In assisting us with scheduling our first ever trip to Ireland, Ronan was extremely patient with all of our questions and concerns. As we had planned our own itinerary, everything from workability to distance to time frames to bus/train scheduling were of concern to us. In addition, my wife has gluten-free meal requirements, which can be challenging when booking out of country travel. Ronan was extremely helpful with all the above. Despite our 5-hour time difference in calling from the United States, he continued to schedule and work with us as we requested based on our own limited availability with any new questions that would arise. If errors were made or additional research needed, Ronan was quick to resolve. He made our first attempt at preparing a trip to Ireland as painless and as clear as possible. Working in recruiting myself, I know how important it is to establish a credible, empathic ongoing relationship with a client, and Ronan did a wonderful job at this. We will definitely "go" with GoIrishTours again! read more

Go Irish did a really good job of coordinating our 15 day trip thru both Ireland and Scotland, our guide/driver Pearse was exceptional, we would highly recommend him, very knowledgeable, great understanding of the history of all the areas, gave us plenty of time for each excursion, never felt rushed and just a really nice guy. Once he got to know us he would suggest things to do that were in addition to the thing GoIrish had planned, we ended up skipping a couple things close to the end that we figured out during the trip we weren't as interested in and ended in a couple new things The mix of hotels was really good, with the variety of B & B's, one Castle and hotels, all were very welcoming and enjoyable, We really like the Republic of Ireland the best especially the smaller towns, the cities weren't as friendly and inviting as the rest of the areas but still had great historical places. Overall we had a great trip and your team and Pearse really made that possible. As I would never want to do it on our own and not having to drive made the trip so much more relaxing and enjoyable read more

I am so happy to post this review for GoIrishTours! When planning this trip, I interviewed several companies and was really taken by our GoIrishTours agent Jessica Murphy! She was pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable and just a joy to work with. She was calm and really understood what we were looking for. Our group was a mix of 60-ish year olds, 2 couples and 2 additional friends/. We are active and wanted to experience the Irish countryside and smaller cities. Jessica set it all up, including lodging, with breakfasts, tour tickets, bike adventures, hikes, golf and even a delicious 3 course dinner. GoIrishTours hired an unforgettable driver, Finnbar, who spent the week showing us additional unbelievably beautiful sites. He was close by, but was very respectful of our personal space! I was hesitant at times about our booking with Go Irish Tours, because of response time to my questions, but I didn't remember the 5 hour time change. Go Irish Tours also arranged for out rental car through Hertz Car Rental. We would recommend that you pay the extra for a built in GPS. It was very helpful in our journeys. I returned about two weeks ago from a self drive tour of Ireland and Scotland, I can't begin to explain how incredible this experience was!! I had an amazing vacation with GoIrishTours! From landing in Dublin to exploring the Cliffs of Moher, Giant's Causeway, and the Ring of Kerry, every moment was fantastic. We stayed in a mix of charming B&Bs and comfortable hotels, each adding its own unique touch to the experience. The tour was well-organized, and I got to see all the main attractions like Blarney Castle and the Guinness Storehouse.
