Visiting Newnan to attend an afternoon wedding, we spent one night in a hotel and had to find a spot for a kinda late dinner. Where did I turn for advice? Yelp, of course! Asian sounded good so we decided to give this place a try. I'm sure glad we did. Their Indonesian fare is fantastic! My Satay, served with peanut sauce, veggies, and rice was OFF THE HOOK! The server shared with me that the staff add chilis to the peanut sauce to give it a kick. I asked if they could do it for me, and they did. DELICIOUS! The kids liked their sushi and miso soup. My wife enjoyed her bulgogi. Yes, a bit of every Asian country seems to be offered. The thing is, I don't generally expect everything be good when visiting a place that tries to do too many styles of cuisine. Go Juu does it great! Was directed to the Go Juu on my last trek to Newnan. Definitely go with one of their bewildering Chirashi Bowls.. hit the spot. V cool . The chef picked Sashimi was exquisitely tasty; V v Fresh. Over the past 2 yrs go juu has gone from acceptable and half decent to absolute trash. The last three times I've gone there has been issues with the order. This third time ended it for me. I ordered sushi for me and general two for the kids. Apparently they couldn't make general tso but could make sweet and sour chicken. How? Idk. So instead of bringing the kids out first they bring the sushi which sits in front of me for another 15 mins before they bring the kids food. Obv I wasn't going to eat in front of the kids so I waited. When he comes to the table he has a plate 2/3 of over cooked mush broccoli, a scoop of rice and about 10 pieces of tiny popcorn crumbs from the corner of the bottom of the bag. I asked where the chicken was and he looked at me and said right there that's the portion. After back and forth the lady said it wasn't right. Now they want me to wait another 10-15 mins for the kids food while my sushi now sits for 30 mins getting warm. Why not would take 45 mins to properly serve a plate of sweet and sour chicken blows my mind. The service it's crap, prices crap, portions crap, recover crap, and everything about this place as a whole is crap. So for that thanks go juu for ruining my birthday dinner with my kids. read more

The food was tasty and the server was nice, but the experience was very slow and had to keep asking for things. I had called a half hour in advance to put in appetizer and food order to be shared by several kids after playing at the park but when we got there, nothing had been started. Not the end of the world, but also annoying because everyone was hungry and had to wait and pushed back our time to leave for going to get dessert before everyone had to leave the party. Located just outside of Ashley Park in the same complex as Wingstop, Go Juu is a welcome addition to Newnan's limited sushi scene. We started our meal with edamame, bc why not?! It was as expected and hit the spot for what we were after. For dinner we split a few rolls including Spicy Tuna, Bagel Roll, and New York Special Roll. All were tasty, nothing spectacular, but the New York Roll was the best of the bunch. If sushi isn't your thing, Go Juu has a solid variety of other options including hibachi, ramen, fried rice, and more. The space itself is open, with a small sushi counter in the back and a mix of tables and booths. One thing worth mentioning is that the lighting is a bit on the bright side, which gives the place a cafeteria-like vibe, not much of a small quaint sushi spot feel. Our server was friendly, as was the food runner. Overall, good spot to grab a few rolls. While it may not be the most spectacular sushi experience, it's great to have a sushi option like Go Juu in Newnan. read more

Their prices are average , but very skimpy . This place does not care to make it right . From the time we stepped in the door, it was great service! Our waitress was so pleasant and was so happy working there! She made great suggestions! We enjoyed every bite! I thought I had gone to every sushi restaurant within 30 miles, so I am not sure how I missed this! My friend suggested it, because she thought it was new and had noticed the billboard, so we looked it up on Google maps! Will definitely be back soon, and often! New to the area and wanted to find some good ramen and sushi. Decided to try Go Juu so got takeout. I ordered the pork tonkotsu ramen, tom kha soup, volcano roll and Philly roll. Ramen: broth good, pork good, but the noodles were old, stale, tasted like they've been sitting out for a couple days. Same with the egg. Volcano roll: good, nothing special Philly roll: probably the best thing ordered, also the simplest. Tom kha soup: INEDIBLE!! DISGUSTING! I've had tom kha other places before and this is the first time it had the consistency of porridge! It was SO SALTY I couldn't take more than one bite. And payed $13 for it. This place has the potential to be really good. If I were to go back, I would be a bit bossy and demand that they plate the tuna tempura on the side. The heat wilts the cucumber and iceberg lettuce. Also ask for lite sauce. As for the sushi, many rolls have cream cheese, which is probably what the locals want. I chose a roll without cream cheese. The Alaskan Roll is described as smoked salmon, crab and avocado. Instead of crab, it's surimi (fake crab). The salmon was most puzzling. If the salmon was smoked, I couldn't taste the smoke. The texture was similar to raw salmon. It reminded me of Lox. There's a bagel place nearby. So, I suggest that they embrace it and do a Lox and cream cheese roll. I also think that an Alaskan roll would be great with smoked Pacific salmon and real crab. The ambiance is nice and clean. The staff are nice and attentive. read more

It seemed fresh, which is great, but the assembly was awful. Every single piece either fell apart of got stuck to another piece. That is one of the main things to get right with sushi, basic assembly, I feel like...it was difficult to eat as a result. I liked the hibachi shrimp though. It became a puddle in the bottom with lettuce riding on top. She had white rice and I chose the fried rice with our meals. The rice was still quite a bit raw and crunchy. Inedible. My pork Katsu was greasy and what was suppose to be a crunchy coating had all fallen off and was soggy. Requested YumYum sauce. The sauce that came was watered down and was off tasting. Granddaughter did enjoy her teriyaki chicken. We both enjoyed the Shrimp Shumai and the sauce served with it were both delicious. Service was friendly. Story time! I ordered the fried sushi bento which includes the spicy crunchy roll and your choice of two others. I chose the Flying Crawfish and TNT rolls. Very good! And only $15. The salad with whatever dressing/sauce on it was bland and watery. But the sushi more than made up for it. Now, I just noticed the health score AFTER leaving the restaurant. (70 out of 100 at the time of this post.) No reason for me to cry about it now. ‍ Service was good. Employees were kind. Did not have to wait long. Restaurant atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. Friday Night Supper Club! This place is amazing! We went early so there was no wait. The service was top notch, the temperature was perfect, soft music played in the background.
