I was notified by the company a few days before my move to verify the date, time and how many Bellhops I needed. The day before my move one of the local Bellhops called me to verify our time and location and they also called the morning of the move. Both Bellhops were very friendly and courteous. They worked quickly and efficiently to move my things down 3 flights of stairs into a Uhaul. Bellhop is a great service and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs help with moving. I will definitely be looking to see if the Bellhops services are available in Chicago for when I move into my new place. Shout out to our bellhops Andrew and Jalwaan for doing an awesome job!!!

The…read morefirst place was a horrid experience, rude employees, they offered very short access hours, and these were just the beginning of the nightmare I would be subjected to - in the end, my indoor climate control unit was ravaged by water damage and it was nearly a total loss. When I stumbled upon 24 hour self storage, I had doubts and didn't trust that anywhere I went, nowhere could be this good to be true. Right?? Boy was I wrong!!! Not only was the cost about half of what I'd paid in the past, but I had a larger unit. I definitely took note that the grounds and units were exceptionally clean, as well as quiet! The staff was incredibly kind, attentive and helpful. When it was time to move my belongings out, and to our new home, it was almost bittersweet! None the less I came in to my hallway and the items that weren't ready for storing had been moved to a storage unit and the attic hadn't been touched. Not only did they do that, In my living room i had some important documents from the years between 1836-1890s in a rather large frame and income in to the brittle documents and memorabilia not in the frame and thrown in my floor . I'm pretty livid to say the least and don't have any intention to have these same scummy guys walk a foot in my home again, and if suggest you to do the same if you wanted your items to be correctly stored and safe.

Polite and cordial moving team. Slowly loaded the truck. They did not place all the items in the…read morerequested locations at the new home. Instead they took the easy route and left some boxes and furniture in the garage and basement. The team was unable to complete job within the documented estimated timeframe, even though there was less furniture and packing needed, since estimate was originally created. At the new home they punctured a hole in the ceiling, damaged banister and beautiful wooden stairs, and knocked off a large tree limb in the front of the house. The moving team significantly stained a cream sofa, severely nicked two solid wooden bed frames, damaged (and removed) TV, broke a circle light stand, lost silverware, etc. A sampling of images provided. Owner wont honor the balance agreed upon a few hours into the move --- and --- is not willing to replace or deduct for damage, lost or removed items. Furthermore, he will not deduct for any repairs needed to furniture or new home. This was a very disappointing experience on what was expected to be a happy day in a charming new home!

I don't know where to start. We first used People Move Moving 4-5 years ago for a "down the street"…read moremove. Great experience. Movers were on time, professional, worked quickly but carefully. All of our belongings arrived safe and sound. Given our first experience, we didn't even bother quoting the move out to anyone else. We were in regular telephone communication with Daniel, their Sales and Operations Manager via phone. Red flag that we never received written follow up communication. We had a couple questions regarding heavy/large items which he assured us would be handled with the upmost care and professionalism. Specifically, a treadmill in the basement and a Big Green Egg. We were told the crew had "plenty of professional experience moving/disassembling both items". Upon arrival, the movers completed a once over of the house to develop a plan. Very quickly I was flat out told by one of the crew members that they were refusing to move the treadmill. We called Daniel and he assured us it would be handled appropriately and the tone/professionalism of his team would reflect that. It was not, in fact, handled appropriately. Fast forward to the end of the day, we required a small/quick second trip to and from for the last few items in the house. The movers were very reluctant to complete a second trip, even though that was communicated multiple times before and during the move. The business bills by the hour, so you would think this would be a somewhat common/reasonable request. I inquired about the treadmill once more and was told definitively and rudely "no" again. At this point, I had given up on receiving the help/assistance we were promised even though our invoice included "heavy item" charges. Those charges took approx. one week to be reimbursed. We are now in a dispute with PMM for reimbursement of the cost to hire a third party to move the treadmill (which I just received word from Daniel at 845am that "there is nothing we will do, it has been handled internally, please continue to follow up with our claims agency). Our move was completed on a Tuesday and I did not get around to checking the condition of the Big Green Egg until Thursday or Friday (my fault). Safe to say it's a loss. Photos attached. The professional movers obviously did not possess the requisite knowledge to move something this large and cumbersome. Over the last two weeks, I have tried reaching out to PMM via office phone, Daniel's cell phone, and email to resolve these issues and discuss potential partial refund for services not rendered. We were told this morning over the phone by Daniel that "we have fulfilled our part of the contract, there is nothing more we can do to help". Even after asking to speak to his superior, we were told "I am the highest person you are able to speak with regarding the matter". We are now at the mercy of PMM's claim agency, CSI. They have been fine to work with but it's unfortunate Daniel and his team are not able to provide any additional help/follow up to resolve this matter in a less contentious/way more professional manner. Would not recommend contracting PMM for your next move, and if you do, ensure all conversation with Daniel is documented via email. The lack of communication and tone over the phone (when they answer) has been unacceptable. My wife has filed a complaint with the BBB. Beware of the PMM team.

Still surprised there was really no plan B... not even another company they could recommend to me or schedule me with last minute. Putting aside that I had to scramble to find another moving company last minute, I've been calling them for 2 weeks trying to get a refund on my deposit and nobody ever answers. I've left multiple messages and nobody ever calls me back. Feels like a scam, I can't recommend this company at all. Avoid at all cost.
