After our original movers cancelled on moving day, I called Larry's and was treated with kindness and respect. They had a day open the next week and I was able to get them booked. They arrived on time and they noticed that I had things tagged as to where they would be going, but they double checked any time it was unclear or where the tag had fallen off. They were so professional and so, so nice. Moving puts you in such a vulnerable position because you feel like the movers might judge you for the wear & tear & dirt on your stuff, but these guys didn't blink an eye. I got them some cold drinks and they were very appreciative. The folks who answered the phone at the office were also really nice and professional. They patiently answered all my questions and gave me a quote which was much less than the other guys. I will absolutely use them again and highly recommend them. My daughter and her family had movers set up for 2 months. 18 hours before they were scheduled to move All My Sons movers canceled and were extremely rude and hateful...no explanation !! I have used Larry's Movers several times. They helped move all of my aunts things from her apartment to storage and did a wonderful job a couple months ago. This past week I used them to empty my basement of everything so we can finish it. The two Will's were super polite and kind and helpful. They moved very fast and emptied the space in record time. On November 24,2020, I scheduled a move to take place on December 4, 2020 with Larry's Moving Service in Louisville Kentucky. December 4, 2020 the movers arrived at approximately 1030 am. There were 3 movers that came into the house to look at the items in the house that were to be moved from house 1 to house 2. Several times one of the movers had asked to use the restroom. I directed him to the master bath, our dogs were in the main bathroom during the packing at house 1. At approximately 230 pm the truck was packed full and they left for house 2. I stopped at Mcdonalds and bought all 3 of the movers lunch. Between 500pm and 600 pm I went into the master bathroom where I had a bank envelope of cash in my top drawer of my vanity. I removed $60 each to tip our movers. By 630 pm they were done. I signed the contract and gave the elder of the movers my credit card number for payment. My husband and I were beyond excited because we had been waiting to move into this house for 2 years. At approximately 700pm for some reason I went into the master bath to check my bank envelope and all of my cash was gone with the envelope sitting just under my makeup bag. At 710 pm I called and left a message on Larry's voicemail. I then called and filed a police report over the phone for the loss of the cash that was missing. The next day we returned to house 1, only to discover that a navy issued gun that was in our master bedroom closet had been taken with the gun case being left behind my laundry basket. After that I called the police to make yet another police report. After checking house 1 for anything out of order I discovered one of my credit cards in the basement desk was gone. Yet again I called to make a 3rd police report that day. During that day I spoke with the owner of Larry's movers several times. He sounded very concerned that this incident had occurred. The following weekend he had communicated that he was attempting to find out information about what had happened. I have requested reimbursement from the owner twice . I would like to give anybody considering a move some valuable tips. Do not leave movers alone for any period of time-which includes using the bathroom. Do not have anything in value at an arm's reach-meaning: Cash, guns, jewelry or credit cards. Do not label your boxes with specific information that can be used to take your items. Follow the moving truck to the next destination, even if they stop. Make sure you have plenty of eyes on the movers as the move is happening. I hope this helps just one person and if it does then I will be happy. It has been 3 months since our move and it has changed me somehow. read more

Larry's Movers made a very stressful part of life--moving, a tolerable experience. From the time I booked my appointment to the day the gentlemen arrived it was pleasant and professional. The rates at Larry's are great and the staff was courteous and I could not have asked for a better customer experience. The movers arrived on time and walked me though all the paper work and soon after that the were on the move. I am a terrible packer but they were nice about everything and I was put at ease. The movers were fast and reliable, I was never at any moment afraid they would break anything or go AWOL. It was also great that the team I had worked well together and had a sense of humor! Yesterday a friend of mine who is 72 years old hired Larry's to move her from house 1 to house 2. Yesterday all they did was pack everything up which took about 3 hours. Today they were suppose to come back to complete the move. She was charged 800 dollars yesterday and this morning when they show up they told her that she needed to pay them again. They told her either you pay us or were leaving. So she told them to leave. And I'm pretty sure that their truck broke down in the parking lot. This is absolutely disgusting that they would take advantage of her like this. She was not given back any of the 800 dollars from the previous day. She called a different mover who is only charging her 120 to move her belongings but is now out over 900. Do not hire this company unless you wan to get robbed and taken advantage of. Absolutely A DISGRACE read more

Absolutely horrible! That's all that needs to be said. I'm still not over the move that occurred 3 months ago. In the beginning I was told how much I should tip them: $50.00 a person. And it gets worse from there. Then I was asked to give them lunch money. The crew did nothing all day but fight and argue with each other. They damaged and broke a lot of my possessions and lost a few things along the way. Then to top it all off at the end of the day, I was told by Rich, the leader, that my tip was now $100.00 a person. I'm still feeling as if was was abused and used. I called Larry's Movers several times and, of course, they acted concerned. Well, if they were that concerned why wasn't I offered a partial refund for my loses not to mention the emotional abuse I suffered because of their horrible customer service? If you're planing a move I strongly suggest never using them. read more

We hired Larry's twice - once in April to move our stuff from our apartment into a storage unit, then again in May to move that stuff from the storage unit into our new condo. The first move was great - the movers were super friendly and courteous, very fast and professional. The second? Not so much. First, they took about an hour trying to get our couch into our hallway, without ever measuring either, only to tell us it was impossible due to the sizes of both - then charging us for that hour that they accomplished nothing. So we had no option but to sell one of the movers our couch for super cheap because they couldn't get it into our unit. Their attempts to get it in left black marks all over our walls that we couldn't scrub off for anything...we had to repaint it. Within a couple of weeks, as we started unpacking, we noticed all kinds of stuff missing - entire plate, dish, and cup sets, all kinds of kitchenware and mixing bowls and stuff. Space heaters, blankets, humidifiers, clothes, etc etc etc etc etc. I left them a message, but never heard anything back...which tells me they must be used to it, or unwilling to accept responsibility. It might be more expensive with other movers, but at least you should end up with all of your stuff that way. Note...the two movers who helped us the first time (and were great) were not the same as the three who helped us the second time, so they bear none of the responsibility. Update: now about 8 months since our move and we realize more that's missing every week. We now estimate that although we paid for 100% of our belongings to be moved, maybe only 75-80% was actually moved. What happened to the rest, we don't know...but it never made it to our new place. And Larry's has never replied to me. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you want to pay more and have them either lose or steal half your stuff in the process. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about our latest move with Larry's. Chris, Dwayne and Bobbie worked tirelessly, were consummate professionals, kind and detail oriented. No matter what request was made they accommodated our needs without complaint. OMG do NOT use these people. There's a reason their prices are cheaper. Moving is bad enough but these people made it unbearable. I had them move my belongings and there were a few things that they damaged. I had the manager come over to my house and look at the items and he told me that he would have his sofa guy repair my sofa, give me a check for $300 for the damage for my garage cabinets and then we agreed that I was going to get a bid for the pool table which they scratched. Once I told him it was going to be $200 to fix the pool table scratches, he went back on his word and told me he was going to turn it into his insurance, another words have someone else handle it. I figured with all said and done it was $700.00 that I was asking for. I doubt paying me $700.00 would close his doors. This company is not truthful and they are lazy.......plus they have disgruntled employees which is not good when you are running a business. Although look at the leadership.... the nut does not fall from the tree. read more

Wow! I started using Larry's movers when I was 24 years old and I am now 61. Every time which has been a lot of over the years, their service has been wonderful! They explain the insurance to you and offer is always up front and central, if you say no and something gets damaged there is no one to blame. They are personable and get the job done on time and every time with no complaints from the staff about to big, to heavy, and always make time for the extra stuff. The price is great! sometimes it is better to just pay just a little more to get the job done right. I have tried other movers to compare and I always call back and say I am glad to be a returning customer. They all know me by name and it feels great to be a part of something big in our community. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We had Larry's Movers here to move our heavy furniture. We have paid them the deposit and had the deposit paid to secure our appointment. We have 10 items to move. The lead mover first off refused to take our bunk beds apart and said "We won't be able to move these bunk beds. " Then the other two movers seemingly talked him into taking the bunk beds apart. Then he went into the master bedroom and said he didn't have a special tool needed to take our queen bed apart. So they left as I wasn't going to pay them over $300 to leave 2 of our 10 items. I took the bed apart with a 1/2 inch wrench. Hmmmm Special tool...I think not. I took the bunk beds apart with a Phillips head screw driver. I lifted the top bed off the dowel rods and unstacked the beds. Total time maybe 30 minutes. We called Larry's Movers back and they refused to come back. Now we are in a pickle. Bottom line DO NOT USE LARRY'S MOVERS in Louisville Kentucky.They still have our money for no work done. read more

I hired Larry's movers to help us move from a condo to a new house. They showed up on time and were very courteous. The three men worked incredibly hard all day. They had our condo cleared within 90 minutes. We had a complicated moving schedule, where we had to make several stops at multiple storage units and houses to collect all of our belongings for the move. The movers had no problems following our directions and were very cooperative with our chaotic schedule. The movers were very strong and capable. They moved a particularly heavy desk with just two men which in the past took 4. In total our move took about 6 hours. The movers were quick and did not waste time. I have zero complaints about our move. I highly recommend Larry's movers to anyone who needs a fast effective moving service. Their prices were quite reasonable and they refunded our $100 deposit. I would definitely use them again and will recommend them to anyone I know who is moving. read more
